"Flames of Paradise" was a duet with Jennifer Rush that I believe made the top 40 in the late 80s. Elton partnered on a number of duets with women with "big voices" in the mid to late 80s - "Act of War" with Millie Jackson and "Through the Storm" with Aretha Franklin come to mind. None particularly memorable, but worth a listen (I know you don't like "Act of War" - neither did Tina Turner whom it was written for).

Do you subscribe to a streaming service John? Loads of these bits and pieces can be found on any of the options available. As for "Tortured" that will come up when you get further into Jewel Box. I like Tortured, quite a lot, especially the verses, however it is sadly one of those where he kind of drops the ball in the chorus, though I suppose he didn't have a great deal to work with as far as lyrics went for that portion of the song.
I'm on RUclips Music so have access to most things. I've just been listening to the Judy Collins Sweetheart. I've nearly finished Disc 3 of the Jewel Box, so haven't encountered Tortured yet. I know Through the Storm, now you mention it. I think I had the Aretha album that this appears on.

Regrettably not. It is just for show. I'm full of admiration for people who can get a tune out of one.
To clarify, the song I identified with so strongly about was "Elton's Song", not "Circle of Life". Probably just an editing issue there :)
