Early Elton songs are always fascinating even if they are not of the best quality that would come later on. It's an interesting listen for sure.

I thought “Get Out Of This Town” should’ve been given to the Monkees. I can just hear Micky Dolenz ripping this as a rocker..

I love that these songs were finally released officially. "Scarecrow" and "Tartan Coloured Lady" are among my favourites from this particular disc.

Hey there friend ... a few days ago I saw a (newly published) ranking of Elton's studio albums, and it just confounded the heck out of me. They started with the worst (ranked 31st and 32nd), and they chose Victim Of Love and Leather Jackets, and I was like, 'yeah, I agree with that' ... then, at no. 30 they had Ice On Fire!!! I yelled, 'What?!!' ... I consider that one of his 5 best! Anyhow ... they also ranked A Single Man in the top 10. It was bizarre. If you'd like to see the list I could try to find it, and post it as a comment on this clip. ** 8-) Let me know. Cheers!

I used to have all these in bootleg form - Dick James Demo's Vols 1, 2 and 3, though some of them weren't present, and there are a few that didn't reach Jewel Box. I'd give witches house an extra point. I'd give Nina an extra point too. Angel Tree is alright, okay, not much better than one, but maybe a 3 wouldn't be too bad for this one. Thank You for all of your Lovin' get's a 5 for me - did you hear Taron Egerton's cover of it for the Rocketman soundtrack? I was really pleased to see that on there! I otherwise agree with most of your 1-3 ratings here. Maybe you could rate these in album form based on the original Dick James Demo's Bootleg, rate them in their former bootleg album format! 🤣
