Hi I have also appointment for all on 4 by next week Can you please tell me will they changed your all teeth or just weak once? 2nd can you eat any food? Is there any issue with chew things
Soft food to start, if bone graft 4- 6 months .nothing sticky crunchy, hot hot in the first few weeks, no coffee , dairy products....don't rush the healing....I just got all on fours. ..I love them ...we don't know the future in man made Products...we just have to have Faith! You'll be fine... DON'T BREAK THE RULES...NO ALCOHOL 😊 FOR A LITTLE WHILE...YOUR GOAL IS TO HEAL...YOU GOT THIS 🎉🎉🎉
I always tell patients lower dentures suck but don’t have any suction. It’s a memorable punchline that gets the point across. I feel like in a perfect world the all on 4+ is ideal every time. In the real world patients have bad home care, don’t come to recalls or come back ever. All I would say is that overdentures are a very viable option in my opinion because they allow for better self hygiene, they allow for people that can’t afford 4-6 implants to do two implants on the bottom. Also repair for overdentures can be done in office where zirconia has to be remilled or sent in for weeks at a time. Lastly overdentures are less technique sensitive from the providers side (not yours of course). Though technique, implant placement, ambulating, planning etc is always important. Really love your content doc, keep posting!
As a recent all on 4 patient, the most valuable advice I can offer is to manage expectations. Nothing is going to be like your natural teeth at their healthiest point. However, most of us who need a full mouth restoration have been struggling with bad/ failing teeth for years. So it is 100% improvement, shortcomings and all. Thank you, Doctor for these educational videos. They have definitely helped guide me along this journey.
Wow this dude gave alot of gems i like the idea of getting all on 4 and adding both bone grafting and implants later down the line thanks Doc for the great advice
I've seen some videos on this procedure, and it looks graphic. I'll not only need to prepare myself financially and emotionally before im ready, but honestly, this is something I need!
Im 30 and had this done 2 years ago, its really not that bad, i only had local anesthesia, had little to no pain during or after surgery, for me the worst part was keeping my jaw open for hours while the surgery was happening.
I would like if it is possible to save my real teeth but when this went so far i am going to visit a few dentists couse i just cant deal with all this everyday pain and not eating ,every bite is pain and i am very weak nobody deserve to live in agony .You are a great Doctor wish i live close couse i really trust in you and the way you think
61 years old.Full set upper and lower and yes bottoms do suck but for now its working and i can eat most foods no issues.I eat thick sliced apples,,pears, subway sandwiches, burgers with everything.i do use a thin application of adhesive and a dusting of denture powder and it last around 10-12 hours.I can eat tender meat and bite meat off the bone no problem.I have learned to move food quickly back on both sides of my denture molars and chew up/down motion.Sticky foods however a problem
I am 29, and my mouth is similar to hers. I have more back teeth than she does, and I have a hard time eating. I feel for this young woman ❤. I'm getting all my teeth extracted and doing what's called "Implant-supported bridge" or FP1 implants. So, no artificial gums, just teeth supported by about 6 screws on the top and bottom. Im scared and also very excited! I hope she can get the smile she deserves!❤
Clear direct answer to her question: Nobody knows, they have not been around that long. I do my best to set you up for the best outcome by doing bone grafts if need be and placing extra implants at good locations. You dont really have a better option. Bottom line. I cant guarantee how long they will last and yes, you will continue to have to get dental work as you age, no one can predict how it will play out.
Don't understand the doctor. I have had snapins for 4 years and have been very satisfied. They fit well and are easy to clean and maintain as apposed to all-on-four.
I have 3 weeks since my all on 4 surgery, and I feel that one of the implants is loose. I told my dentist 10 days ago that is something strange there when the cap fell I could feel the water or saliva pushed up, like close to the nose. He said that is impossible. Now it s moving. Is it normal?
@@northtexasdentalsurgery the whole team in on vacation, no emergency contact, and my upper bridge is moving I feel like it’s going to fall and one implant is extremely painful….I don’t know what to do
@@alsdlsaeofshey they said everything looks fine. I don’t know…I am 7 weeks post op and so many strange sensations. I just hope everything is fine. I am not in pain but that pulsing sensation without pain, especially when I work hard
I do wish you could get them. That more people who want them. Could get them. Implants require surgery for placement. Along with risk infection and implant failure. My mom had all of those things happen. Not everyone is candidate for implants either. Such as people like me. Making dentures and partials affordable. Along with making dental care affordable. So people don’t end up like me. Seems more cost effective and efficient.
Don’t get me wrong girl, based on that panoramic xray, I can assure you that you probably brush twice a week at most. You can have the best state of the art materials and the best doctors in the world, if you don’t change your habits, no matter how much $$$$$ you spend on it, it will fail, it’s your responsibility to take care of YOUR health at home. Nobody will go to your home 3x a day to brush and floss your teeth.

I appreciate the additional info. He’s providing free information at an extremely high quality that can’t be found anywhere. If it helps him pay for some of the time and energy he’s putting in and you still get free content it seems pretty fair to me. You are of course entitled to your opinion and you are also entitled to skip all adds if you pay for RUclips subscription. Cheers to you sir.
