I have never cried more for a RUclips video than this. After recapping the entire series in half an hour the final 2 minutes where it essentially says “this is Star Wars, we are here to celebrate it and give it our goodbyes” has me absolutely at a loss for words. My god I don’t usually get emotional but as I’m in my senior year less than 7 months away from graduating, watching this felt like saying goodbye to my childhood. Goodbye, old friend.
First of all, I love how well this is put together! Secondly, I remember watching The Force Awakens in theatre the day it came out, I absolutey loved it. When I first watched The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker (which was last year) I felt so disappointed and I didn't like the sequels after that. I sat down and binge watched all 11 movies the other week and gave the sequels another go, and now I love them just as much as the original 6. I know Lucas said that the saga is meant to be Anakin's story and even with the sequels it still is. The prequels are Anakin's rise and fall, the originals are his redemption and the sequels are his legacy. However I have always seen each trilogy as a story told from a different view. For me the prequels are Anakin's story, the originals are Luke's story and how he helped his father achieve the goal he was destined to, and the sequels tell the legacy of all our heroes and start a new journey with an entirely new generation. Each trilogy has a different theme too. The prequels show the flaws in the Jedi order and their teachings, the Jedi act more as emotionless machines and are too afraid to give into their emotions in fear that they might turn to the dark side. It also shows that even a prophecy can't tell you how it will be fulfilled and threw a curveball our way. The originals show that even the darkest of people can be redeemed. It also shows that even young people can be destined for whatever they set their heart and mind to (all relations to Vader and the part Luke was born to be in redeeming or killing his father aside) and also proves that the love for your family and friends don't have to be a weakness as the Jedi once thought, if you learn to control it, it can be used as a strength even on the light side. The sequels kinda mirror the originals in a lot of ways, but the main theme they share is that even with how dark your bloodline may be, you can still choose a different path, both Rey and Ben/Kylo show us that. All 9 movies as a whole bring a story of hope to young people and that's all they were ever meant to be regardless of where you stand within the fandom. I originally hated Luke's portrail in TLJ but the more I've thought about it, it's more than likely his dark side bloodline that made him attempt to murder Ben, even though he was strong in the light side and seemed hopeful, even the brightest sparks can go dull over time. He had a moment of weakness and gave into what he thought was right at that time, but he snapped out of it, even if it was too late. If you read the comics it was retconed that Snoke/Palpatine had been messing with poor Ben's head for a long time before then anyway, so his journey to the dark side was inevitable regardless of whether Luke showed up in his room with a lightsaber or not. Anyways, I hope we can all agree that Star Wars is awesome wherever you stand in the Saga. Sorry for the essay, I've had a lot of personal thoughts I just wanted to get out.
You are how every SW fan should aspire to be. There should be no Prequel haters or Sequel haters within this fanbase. Alas, the fandom is not what it once was, and it would take a miracle to restore it to its former glory.
The phantom Menace Initiates the Attack of the Clones to Fullfill the Revenge of the Sith A New Hope Leads to the Empire striking back for the Return of the Jedi in the end. The Force Awakens The Last Jedi for the Rise Of Skywalker The phantom menace= Palpatine A New Hope= Luke Skywalker The force Awakening= Rey The Skywalker Rising= Rey and Ben Solo The Chosen One/Main Character= Anakin Skywalker If you know what I mean😏
"I wasn't strong enough to save you, mom. But I promise, I won't fail again." Everyone acts like Anakin's transformation was unconvincing or rushed, but you can see it throughout the entire trilogy. All he wants to do is protect people and that's ultimately his downfall, and then his salvation
Thank you.. I'm 52 years old and just relived from 4th grade til now.. epic story... Anakin was such a badass... miss him and Obiwan, the most. Lots of nostalgia here. :*)

The story of anakin, the story of luke, and the story of rey. Each flowing into the next, the heroes of ages past inspiring the heroes of the modern age. Its honestly the most epic thing in modern pop-culture
XVanX I dont really care about what lucas said. Art is subjective. I see it as three stories that flow from one to the next, and thats just how I choose to think of it
@@TheSEAempire So you're wrong because director 1-6 and director 7.9 said it focuses on Anakin, The Chosen One. 1-3 is about his fall, 4-6 about his power as a sith and his children who will save him, 7-9 is about his legacy. grandson wants to be like Vader and Rey finished what Anakin started - balance. And Vader is in Rouge One, Rebels. Anakin is in The Clone Wars. It shows that Anakin / Vader is the most important character
XVanX again. Its all subjective. All film fans see movies differently. I see it all differently than you, and you see it all differently than me. I love the new disney movies, the OT, and I have a love/hate relationship with the PT. I view it all as whole now, even if there were some bumps in the road towards the end

Well said this is
You sir, are brilliant.
You are how every SW fan should aspire to be. There should be no Prequel haters or Sequel haters within this fanbase. Alas, the fandom is not what it once was, and it would take a miracle to restore it to its former glory.
Why wouldn't fans be able to have disdain for bad choice by Disney?
@@imnotsqiddy they can have disdain, they just don’t need to spread it to people who genuinely like the films

Best cut / summary of the saga I’ve ever seen.
"I wasn't strong enough to save you, mom. But I promise, I won't fail again."
Everyone acts like Anakin's transformation was unconvincing or rushed, but you can see it throughout the entire trilogy. All he wants to do is protect people and that's ultimately his downfall, and then his salvation
Thank you.. I'm 52 years old and just relived from 4th grade til now.. epic story... Anakin was such a badass... miss him and Obiwan, the most. Lots of nostalgia here. :*)
what a masterpiece you have cut together... 43 years of my life all wrapped up in a perfect package. I love Star Wars & I always will.
Prequels: Palpatine tried to tempt Anakin to the Dark Side ( successful )
Original Trilogy: Palpatine tried to tempt Luke to the Dark Side ( Fail )
Sequels: Palpatine tried to tempt Rey to the Dark Side ( Fail )
There's no sequels.
no matter what parts of star wars u dislike or don't agree with i hope we can all agree that star wars is great and my life especially wouldn't be the same without it
Yes, I Definitely agree.
Nah, Star Wars is just ok.
some of star wars is great sure
1-6 is great.
I agree but the sequels are still complete shit
anakin told me that my emotions sholdn't overtake my actions. they should inspire them
luke told me to always look for the good in those close to you. you can bring the light back.

What about Rogue One, Solo, and the Clone Wars? I loved the Clone Wars. I loved every Star Wars film, except for one.
@@mikeor- yes me to but First of all i Love the 9 Main films
@@highknee8043 I also love the nine main films, but some are just better than others. I can't pretend that all moments in TLJ were bad. I loved that they had Master Yoda return, and that they actually did have a battle of Crait: a clear homage to the opening of Empire.
I like all the films

This is honestly gorgeous and also proves why the Sequels fit so well thematically with the Original and Prequel trilogies that came before. This journey was amazing and makes me feel like the force will truly be with us. Always.

The sequels DO NOT mesh well with the first 6 at all.

That final line in the video had me in tears, not gonna lie. This is your best edit yet. Congratulations.

"Goodbye, old friend. May the Force be with you." -Obi-Wan Kenobi.
This video showcases how much emotion does the sequel saga has. Despite of all of it's undeiable isues, half of it is a very good trilogy with so much potential that sadly did not fully delivered, but what it is there, it is.
'Impressive, most impressive. You editing skills is completed.'
This is the best summary of the Star Wars Saga I have ever watched. Watching this for more than half an hour doesn't make me feel bored, but excited.

Just amazing! I really love all the trilogies because they are Star Wars.
I dont care what people say. I love every star wars movie regardless of quality! They are just fun, and full of creativity and adventue. Best saga ever! It feels whole now, a trilogy of trilogies. The story of anakin, the story of luke, and the story of rey. Each flowing into the next, the heroes of ages past inspiring the heroes of the modern age. Its honestly the most epic thing in modern pop-culture
I mean. Lucas said that this is Anakin's story and Abrams said that 7-9 is about generation who takes care of The Chosen One legacy.
@@TheSEAempire But know that it is originally Anakin saga and it was confirmed by creators 1-6 and 7-9
