I’ll never understand why Episode 3 gets so much hate. Revenge of the Sith is one of the best movies in the entire saga. Edit: It’s been over a year now and I still get notifications every day.
Because almost every part of Anakin’s fall is fumbled. He wasn’t seduced, it wasn’t tragic, he was tricked like a rube. In the space of 30 moments he goes from “May the force be with you” to “how many children do you want me to kill, boss?” Padme lost the will to live? People laughed at how dumb the NOOOOO scene was. It’s a mess, it was supposed to be the payoff of the prequels and it fizzled hard.
His fall started in 2 when he swore (to his dead mother) not to let someone he loved die (padme). And he clung to the teaching of the Jedi. He stated killing dooku wasn’t the Jedi way. He does this again when windu is about to kill palpatine. Both times he is met with the same line “too dangerous to be left alive”. Ignored when he says not the Jedi way. Palpatine promised to save padme. His devotion to her is what he chooses to act on when all he was trained to believe let’s him down. This same situation came when Ashoka left in clone wars. All he had was the temple. It’s teachings. And he was betrayed by deceptive moves in the council. So his fall wasn’t trash. It happened over years and years. People hate because they started watching at the moment anakin pledges to palpatine. Ignorance is what fuels the hate for episode 3. It’s not a bad portrayal of his fall.

Even if there are some mistakes and flaws. Even if the sequels weren’t what we expected. Even if the prequels sometimes had bad dialogues. Even if the originals we’re alternated by the special editions. I’ll never forget this... any of this... Star Wars, the best story i’ve ever heard. The best story ever told.
I hope people don't come at me for this, but this is truly a cinematic peice in itself. I can't even imagine how much work went into making this, and I wanted to say thank you for giving this to everyone who loves the story of Star Wars. May the Force be with you.

This all makes the so sad. The nostalgia is insane. Seeing the entire story progress is absolutely breathtaking. Seeing anakin turn into a force ghost with obi wan and Yoda always makes me so happy.
I really loved the romance between Padme and Anakin. Vader in my opinion has the best villain backstory and his reasons for turning bad is very understandable. It’s been a long run but all good things come to an end. The Skywalker saga is probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my life.

I was 13 when the original came out in 1977. Very powerful moment at the end of IX feeling the weight of 42 years as the credits rolled. 42 years of anticipation that there would be 9 films, not knowing if they would ever all be made. All the events of my life over that 42 year period came flooding back; the triumphs, the failures, the good times, the tragedies. Most of all, those I knew who would have loved to have seen them all, who did not make it this far (some were not even able to see the prequels). A number of people in the theatre were weeping during the end credits. I suspect they may have felt that as well.

This completes the what he started & now J.J. Abrams will finish it with the content to understand its past so we can move forward towards the future with the present moment. As a fan this is a exciting to me but I'm sad because this will be the last time will see the Skywalker Family ever again. This... put everything into perspective for me. I'm a life long star wars fan. And recently I have been feeling very... disappointed not of the franchise.. but of the fandom. It sucks to feel like you can't be yourself even among the people that you should be able to. My excitement for the rise of Skywalker has felt bogged down almost like I wasn't allowed to feel excitement for it. This video reminded me why I should be. You hit every note of this franchise perfectly! Every key moment that represents this universe was put in the spotlight and it really felt good to see every aspect of it shown as important. I'm a fan that likes the last jedi... I have my own issues with it, but when I saw the moments you showed in this video from that movie I cried and thought to myself who cares!! It reminded me of what I loved about it and how I felt when I walked out of that theater opening night. This is a saga where you shouldn't pay attention to the faults whether they be added effects, bad acting, "PC" moments.. or even just a bad decision you dont agree with. Who cares! This is Star Wars no one destroyed your childhood no one destroyed your favorite character you did that to yourself. YOU are in control of how you feel about things YOU are the one that creates expectations and standards. And then if they arent met without keeping an open mind YOU destroy your childhood and characters. In my case I was letting all the hate and divisiveness affect the way I felt about the franchise. People have opinions, I know I do but I'm not gonna let them destroy my feelings towards something I love. If you are willing to do that then that's on you! No one to blame but yourself. With all due respect I HAVE been disappointed with Lucasfilm/Disney for how they treated fans who didn't like what they did with the sequel trilogy. They called people who didn't like the Last Jedi racist, misogynistic trolls etc. It couldn't simply be that we had issues. THAT'S why the fan reaction rose up. It's possible to love something while disagreeing with something. Real love does that sometimes. All of the editing and use of music to be timed with all the right scenes was perfect. And to top it all off, like a lot of people, i wad disappointed in the direction that the Last Jedi was taken, but what you did was highlight every single moment in that film that WAS good, and left all the other rubbish out. So even the die hard fans will be happy with this. WELL DONE
But, this was also taken out of context. His anger clouded his reasoning, which made him choke her for "turning against him" which is also what kills her during childbirth.
Taken out of context, and completely overlooking Obi-Wan's unexpected appearance, which triggers a sense of betrayal from Vader, kickstarting an uncontrollable angry response.
This is brilliant. Such a masterful compilation of all the key beats of every movie. I particularly love the editing that surrounds the Luke/Ben memory (21:15). The movie itself could've used something more like that. I get where people are coming from when they say it's not "in character" for Luke to act like that. But respectfully, I don't think anybody knows what it's like to peer into someone's future and see PTSD triggering stuff that brings back memories of 30 years prior. When you see it like it's portrayed in this, it makes perfect sense that Luke would instinctively ignite his saber. And then no sooner than it lights up, does he snap back to reality and realize his mistake. I personally bought the moment in the original movie. And I buy it even more with this edit.

This is what George Lucas wanted it to be from the very beginning; about "The Heroes Journey". Joseph Campbell was a world-renowned mythologist who helped modern society understand the true power that storytelling has in our culture and within our personal lives. George Lucas was an avid admirer as well as his best student of Campbell's writings, and used them as a direct reference in his creation of Star Wars. Told in 9 chapters but as one big story. Every trilogy has a beginning, a middle & an end. We have reached it after 42 years of waiting. The family's legacy, The Skywalker Saga. Either good or bad this become a phenomenon of 3 generations, I'm proud to have known this legend that is epic space saga story of Star Wars. Episodes 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & finally 9! This completes the what he started & now J.J. Abrams will finish it with the content to understand its past so we can move forward towards the future with the present moment. As a fan this is a exciting to me but I'm sad because this will be the last time will see the Skywalker Family ever again. It means alot to everyone so I think we can agree will remember the day it all ended Dec.20th, 2019. May Force be with us all, always. :')

This... put everything into perspective for me. I'm a life long star wars fan. And recently I have been feeling very... disappointed not of the franchise.. but of the fandom. It sucks to feel like you can't be yourself even among the people that you should be able to. My excitement for the rise of Skywalker has felt bogged down almost like I wasn't allowed to feel excitement for it. This video reminded me why I should be. You hit every note of this franchise perfectly! Every key moment that represents this universe was put in the spotlight and it really felt good to see every aspect of it shown as important. I'm a fan that likes the last jedi... I have my own issues with it, but when I saw the moments you showed in this video from that movie I cried and thought to myself who cares!! It reminded me of what I loved about it and how I felt when I walked out of that theater opening night. This is a saga where you shouldn't pay attention to the faults whether they be added effects, bad acting, "PC" moments.. or even just a bad decision you dont agree with. Who cares! This is Star Wars no one destroyed your childhood no one destroyed your favorite character you did that to yourself. YOU are in control of how you feel about things YOU are the one that creates expectations and standards. And then if they arent met without keeping an open mind YOU destroy your childhood and characters. In my case I was letting all the hate and divisiveness affect the way I felt about the franchise. People have opinions, I know I do but I'm not gonna let them destroy my feelings towards something I love. If you are willing to do that then that's on you! No one to blame but yourself. Seeing it all in order really made me remember how great these new movies are. And ignited that spark in me. Thank you! Cannot wait to see the final chapter in this amazing franchise.

With all due respect I HAVE been disappointed with Lucasfilm/Disney for how they treated fans who didn't like what they did with the sequel trilogy.
They called people who didn't like the Last Jedi racist, misogynistic trolls etc. It couldn't simply be that we had issues. THAT'S why the fan reaction rose up.
It's possible to love something while disagreeing with something. Real love does that sometimes.
TLJ was the worst Star Wars movie I ever saw and when I recently learned that Bob Iger himself said that George Lucas felt "betrayed" they WEREN'T USING his stories for episode 7,8,9 I knew right then that the REAL Skywalker saga ended at Return Of The Jedi

This made me tear up fr. Emotional as hell to see the entire storyline in the span of half an hour. Amazing video.
All of the editing and use of music to be timed with all the right scenes was perfect. And to top it all off, like a lot of people, i wad disappointed in the direction that the Last Jedi was taken, but what you did was highlight every single moment in that film that WAS good, and left all the other rubbish out. So even the die hard fans will be happy with this. WELL DONE

But, this was also taken out of context. His anger clouded his reasoning, which made him choke her for "turning against him" which is also what kills her during childbirth.
Taken out of context, and completely overlooking Obi-Wan's unexpected appearance, which triggers a sense of betrayal from Vader, kickstarting an uncontrollable angry response.

This is brilliant. Such a masterful compilation of all the key beats of every movie.
I particularly love the editing that surrounds the Luke/Ben memory (21:15). The movie itself could've used something more like that. I get where people are coming from when they say it's not "in character" for Luke to act like that. But respectfully, I don't think anybody knows what it's like to peer into someone's future and see PTSD triggering stuff that brings back memories of 30 years prior. When you see it like it's portrayed in this, it makes perfect sense that Luke would instinctively ignite his saber. And then no sooner than it lights up, does he snap back to reality and realize his mistake.
I personally bought the moment in the original movie. And I buy it even more with this edit.

It’s just so sad knowing that Luke’s and Leia’s mother (Padme) died after giving birth to them. Padme never got to see them grow and Luke and Leia never got to see their mother while they were growing.
