- This Yin Yoga class is one of the best ways to not only increase flexibility in your legs and hips but it will also help you release any stored up negative energy in your body. Emotional energy, (if not dealt with or released) overtime will manifest as physical illness in your body. Whether that is as sickness, or simple muscles aches and tension.
By holding each posture in this yin yoga class bring your awareness to anything that you believe no longer serves you. As you exhale, visualize this negative energy leaving your body and breath in positive and peaceful energy. Releasing any stress or worry and filling your mind and body with positive high frequency vibrations.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga practice that targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Each posture in Yin Yoga is usually held up to 5 min or so. However, if you're very new to this I recommend you start with the 1-2 min holds until you feel more confident in your posture. If you're more of an advanced yogi then feel free to pause the video and hold each pose longer.
Yin Yoga has many amazing benefits but below are some of the key benefits you may begin to feel after a regular yin practice:

I can't believe, 5yrs later and I'm still going back to this video it is so good.

I do it once a day in the morning or afternoon. I do my ankle exercises durning Lunch becaues I have arthritis. I also walk my dog in the evening.

Listening to her voice brings a true sense of peace. She is really gifted in healing. I am thankful to learn Yoga from her.
Today was one of those days that I really needed some self-love. I cried the entire time, especially during the reclined hero pose. It was something about releasing my quads that I truly needed. I feel lighter and although my eyes are puffy from the tears, I feel renewed and refreshed, which is amazing. I feel so much better and I appreciate you helping me and others all around the world. You truly are a blessing.

thats one of the most beautiful things about yin yoga, it helps you release all that tension. Tears definitely mean there's energy that had to be released so crying is a good thing. happy u enjoyed it and i hope you felt better afterward

This video is in incredible and it's title couldn't be more accurate. It simultaneously calms and revitalizes you more than I thought possible. The best class to ease anxiety and increase flexibility that I have ever taken to date. Another maybe longer or more intermediate Yin class would be awesome!

I feel that way too! Though I was told by an older yogi that folding over is actually dangerous and can pop a bone out of place. I just sit up the whole time or do mermaid 😍

I absolutely love this one. Pigeon is my favorite pose. I think it is because it gives me a lot of release from my lower spine where I have scoliosis. Yin yoga has become my absolute favorite. Especially after my workouts for a cool down. Thank you so much.

This would be great, as a Massage therapist I use my arms all the time and find lots of tension throughout my pectorals/minor, subclavius and brachioradialis. Especially through the connective tissue at the front.
