Ah, sorry for the late response, had a bit of a hiccup the day this video went up. But! Fantastic video, Pae. And I definitely second your motion to check out Belonging Again. The more framings/perspectives of our current sociological situation as tragic, the better. It is precisely the "clearing" (to use the Heideggerian position that I think Daniel often finds very helpful), that may allow us to find new thinking paths for our moment. I for one would would definitely anticipate any future work of yours on Heidegger. The final guest lecture in the Science of Logic course focused on Heidegger, and there are so many important challenges here. All the best, and marvellous style, as always.

Now I want to ask everyone if they are existentialists. No? No. LOL. Maybe. If I'm a nihilist, then I fall under the umbrella of existentialists, right? Or is it misleading to not be specific, like with rectangles and squares? My students lost their minds when I told them "a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square." I've read Heidegger, but it's been a long time and I feel like I may be essentially a different being at this point. I've always wanted to write a philoso-Fee book. I may need to check out these O.G. Rose texts. Great talk, and inspiring as always.

I seem to remember Krishnamurti being pretty masterful at turning questions back on the asker / seldom truly answering anything. Is that pretty normal among philosophers?
It very much is--that is pretty much all Socrates does in the dialogues haha. But, always to get to a point. 😅
