I had to make it interesting somehow, and that part of the editing can actually be alright. Haha. Also, I got to the section, “Why Does Madness and Genius Like to Tango?” And my first thought was, “how is this cliché going to be avoided?” And sure enough, the very first sentence addresses that before immediately asking a question that had never occurred to me before (the relationship with reason). It is one of those questions that, once it is asked, you wonder why it is the first time you are hearing it. Every section of Belonging Again seems to present something that one could write a whole book on alone. It reminds me of Nietzsche’s quote, “I can say more in a single sentence than most can in a book.” Once again, great work!

@@attention5638 I’m so glad you felt that way about the section! The cliché has always “hidden something,” in my view, and I’m so glad you felt it reframed the issue. That’s very kind also regarding what you said with Nietzsche-I hope the book continues to prove enjoyable!

Honored to be included in this video. I am very grateful, Pae, thank you! Looking forward to meeting you in Toronto. PS: on principle, I don’t review books written by friends. But I will make an exception for you, which isn’t necessarily a good news. PPS: Yes, you can do this. And you are damn good at it!

    • @attention5638

I completely understand that principle. Though I do leave reviews on Goodreads and whatnot to support the author, I much prefer to hold discussions when it comes to philosophy/psychology. When it comes to those subjects, it is always more complicated than a simple "good" or "bad" (despite what I say in my sleep deprived state here haha). 😅

Reading philosophical books in a language that is not my first one, can be a challenge, I have to say. Reading philosophy in German can already make my brain explode, but I love that. Doing the same with another difficulty on top, is too much for my poor brain most of the time. So could you please get all these books translated soon? 😉😂
