Chiming in on parents and internet monitering. Amir is spot on, the parents might be in their 30's or 40's, but not very tech Savy. As a Saturday school teacher, I can confirm most families are immigrants and are still learning to balance family life in a western country, monitoring internet usage might not be a priority or even on their radar.
This might be my favorite episode! Y’all covered so many interesting topics and it felt so valuable to hear yalls perspectives and framings, truly eye opening. Also from what I’ve seen we don’t have a verdict from the South Africa case until like 2-3 years from now? 😢 but I saw this video of a woman talking about how South Africa is smart because they’re “playing the game” and the purpose isn’t to “indict israel” as much as it is to expose the UN. because if after all this the ICJ (an arm of the UN) doesn’t charge israel with genocide then it’s just exposing the UN for their hypocrisy and uselessness. like basically balls in your court UN, will you abide by your so called values or will you show your true colors? I thought that was interesting.

Ali presses him on his answers and when you hear some of responses, it makes sense. Not defending the guy but Ali was saying how Mahdi says things a particular way insinuating maybe more for audience appeal then reality Allahu Alam. For Mahdi, if I remember he said one of his wife gives birth really quickly, like 30min SubhanAllah, and she was okay with him sleeping and during one point said he would help out his wife. Allah knows best but as you guys said, we already have the best example in the Prophet SAW
