Great episode guys. Regarding connecting to Allah and mental health I 100% agree with you and I’ll also add that apart from trying to do all the basics I.e prayers and Quran recitation, people should try as much as possible to refrain from disobeying Allah for example stop doing what is prohibited for Muslim. Some of the sins we see as nothing may be what is actually causing all the issues in our lives. May Allah help us become better Muslims In Sha Allah

I’m Somali from the USA, 27 female and I’m having a hard time meeting men who are as mature and match my level per se. so I do get frustrated meeting men for marriage cuz I’m like why am I about to baby you for real 😭 I notice this more when from single mothers no role model from a man.

Assalaamu alaykum, just some genuine naseeha. If you truly want to find a spouse then make dua to Allah sincerely. Your chances of dua getting accepted increase the more righteous you are, so maybe you can start off by cutting down on sins and increase in your worship. May Allah guide is all. Ameen

just touching on the taking care of yourself topic - our bodies are an amaanah from Allah, it belongs to him and we should do our best to take care of it. If we are active and eat good with that in mind, we even get ajr for it; hence the hadith, “Actions are according to intentions, and everyone will get what was intended….”

    salam,
we need a full episode here you guys speak your mother tong or a mix of English and Harari, of course with subtitles 😅
also, the eye-twitching culture is shirk, we have similar sayings in Somali culture as well, where if the left-hand is itching something bad is to happen and if it is right hand then something good. but course it is about the intentions!

Lol we'll try and film a a portion of the episide in gey sinan (language spoken by Hararis)! As for the eye-twitching thing, I see where you're coming from, I know my mom and I don't actually believe that your eye twitching = an event taking place, ultimately everything is by the Will of Allah! She was just telling me what some people say.
