56:00 I disagree with all of us being desensitized and being brainwashed on social media. I dont doubt that its an issue but Id like to think the people who are quick to pull out their phones and record are more of a minority and majority of people wouldn't react that way. Two things can still be true at once and while it is a small minority of people, it definitely is a growing minority which is a problem. Its making us more apathetic which is scary subhanallah

The biggest motivator imo on why envious people love to “dig up dirt” is because they want justification for why that person doesn’t deserve the thing, but THEY do. They also of course want all the perks without all the work. The second would probably be that they are putting too much stock into what are basically everyday people but operating in a public sphere, they’re assuming their infallible just bc the face-value looks pretty… our roles models shouldn’t be the people we have parasocial relationships with 😅 they’re as real to us as fictional characters in the grand scheme of things

This whole AI thing is getting out of hand and as Muslims it should be a good reminder that the shaytan is alive and well and will do anything to deceive us and take our religion away from us. Islam and Iman is the most precious thing to own in this dunya so Muslims please!! Do not become too distracted in this whole world. I think it's easy to get caught up in this Ai nonsense and think "well there's nothing we can do" but that's so false. Half of these companies didn't even exist a couple decades ago and their founders weren't even a thing at one point. We're in end times and it's important that we rely on Allah swt for everything and never despair in things being able to change for the better. Who knows, maybe you're the change the world needs. I'm reminded of this one Hadith by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) (pls fact check me) where he says if you see something wrong use your hands to fix it, if you can't use your tongue, and if you can't do that at least hate it in your heart and that's the weakest of faith. I think we really are at a climax where people are tired of living life passively and truly want to take back power but don't know how. I think with the media and being forced fed info all the time that we forget we have free will if that makes sense. As a person born at the beginning of the millennia I hope to see the world change for the better in upcoming years. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. TL;DR You have free will and can change the world if you want to. Just rely on Allah swt and this whole world can be yours inshallah ❤

Wooo celebrate the accomplishments! In shaa’ Allaah the live show goes well! I think people who criticize Syrians for their joy over the liberation of their country are thinking black-and-white - and aren’t considering that they aren’t in their shoes so really they can’t talk. We don’t want the liberation of one group over the suffering of another, ya know? And the Syrians have been in strife for so long as well. I do not know as much as I should but I know they deserve peace in their own country.

Assalamu alaikum, dear Sara and Amir, ( 10:20) I wanted to share something with you, and I hope you won’t take it the wrong way. In our culture, there are many practices that might be more tradition than religion. However, the Prophet ﷺ taught us to follow his Sunnah and avoid innovations in religion (bid’ah). He said: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours [Islam] something that is not from it, it will be rejected." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim) This makes me reflect on how important it is to avoid mixing practices that resemble pagan rituals with our religion. I come from a similar culture to yours, and we also have many practices that are not necessarily part of the deen. I am not claiming to be more knowledgeable than our shuyukh but am simply questioning whether these practices are truly right. What do you think?
