As someone who watches a lot of videos from the Malay community in South Africa, my understanding is that “Coloured” is anyone who is not perceived racially black/indigenous to the country, because many different groups were (forcibly) migrated to South Africa and specifically the Cape by the Dutch & British including Indians, Malaysians, Indonesians, etc. Those people built their own communities and have history there, but theyre considered separate from who people would consider “typically black/African”. Here, we group non-white as BIPOC, or we separate specifically to say Blacks, Asians, South Americans, East-Asians, etc, but it may be more generalized there. I did some reading on it a while ago and a couple friends of mine in uni were Indian-descent South African. Also I HATE CENTIPEDES!! I had one appear on my arm while washing dishes… they have some sense to terrorize the ones that fear them.
The first paragraph you wrote was very insightful, thank you for sharing that!!! BUT YOU HAD A CENTIPEDE ON YOUR ARM?! Are you okay? I know I’d never be able to recover. I’d have my whole arm amputated. And YES! I’ve always felt like they could sense my fear lmao 😩😩😩
I’m back cuz I thought of something else. Don’t look this up but on this show called Fear Factor in the US there was this spider with large clamping jaws that the contestants had to eat 🤮😬😶🌫️😱 not only was it cruel it was legitimately horrifying and still disturbs me Also thanks guys because im watching this at night and my skin suddenly feels like its crawling and i keep looking around at the walls thinking somethings gonna pop up 😢
Fear factor was something else. The money isn’t worth the trauma lol. Also definitely not looking that up but thank you for the description 😅 Hope you were able to have a good night’s rest!
My fear of insects isn’t nice. Like the way they terrorize me 😭 how can creatures that small induce such fear. If I see an insect… it’s a wrap. But the dilemma is I cannot even do anything because I can’t bring myself to kill them. The weird thing is my fear lessens if we’re outside and I’m wearing shoes. It’s just something about them being in your personal space that feels so wrong and invasive. Like my guard is down and then one pops up like “ay bro” 😵 That being said, I’m selective too lol. Lady bugs are cute. Butterflies are cute so long as they’re colorful lol. Ants are alright but can be annoying when they start to do the most and move in troops like they own the place. The worst offenders? Spiders and the house centipedes. My Lord. Those things seriously are unnerving. Allahul musta’aan. P.S - aborigine is a correct term 😂 but you guys’ laughter had me cracking up so I double checked on google
Lmao your feelings are valid! Your home is your safe space…any foreign body ISN’T welcome, respectfully. Outside in nature is fair game lol. Your list of what bugs are acceptable and what ones aren’t is hilarious because agreed!!! Lol Aborigines sounded so off but glad to know he was right all along 😅
Eid Mubarak to you too guys 🥰 you two have ‘Eid’ glow. Allahumma barikh.
Amir said the "PR for ladybugs is really good" lmaooooo never have I ever heard such a thing
He’s got interesting takes 😅
