Commercial air travel is not easy. I don’t think I can forget the first time I traveled internationally. Throughout all the flights I caught I was sick in some way. At the worst point I was dry heaving in the bathroom somewhere over the Mediterranean… thousands of feet in the air 😢 By the time I arrived in Addis Ababa I was near black out stage. But I made it alhamdhulillah. And oh, I feel you guys on the 15 hour flights. The second worse plane experience after the one I just mentioned would have to be when I accidentally booked a return flight from Addis to Chicago that I thought included a layover in Dublin. As a result of my failure to read the details I missed the fact that the plane would only stop briefly to refuel before resuming the flight…. Let’s just say, never again. At certain points I wasn’t sure if I was awake, asleep, passed out, or what. It was like one long nightmare. The only thing I remember clearly is me trying to watch something but focusing on nothing besides the fact that the films were set on land and that the people weren’t crammed in a metal tube up in the air. I was so jealous that the characters were walking on streets, in cozy beds, couches, etc 😭 I couldn’t continue. Anyways I always relate to your traveling woes, especially the one you guys talked about a while ago where Amiir felt like dying while returning from Scandinavia 😅 because I’ve been there too.
LMAO! What a story!!!! I really felt for you when you started envying the characters in the movie for being in land while you were stuck in the air 🤣 miskeen! The trick is to just pop some sleeping gummies right after you have your first meal on the flight and knock out lol
@@CousinConnectionPodcast 😔 lol and I forgot to mention that my checked bag got lost too. So I had to buy some random clothing from the market. I didn’t end up getting my belongings until like 2-3 weeks later 😅😭
@@abukitten hopefully that experience didn’t turn you off from traveling lol. I think these types of traumatic stories are the ones that end up being the funniest (after we’ve recovered from the ptsd) and you learn what not to do when traveling 😅
I await this episode be a I know for sure we’ll get juicy stories about your trip. And what happened to your luggages, I’ve been waiting to know 😂😂😂 finally. Hopefully next time you won’t get this much trouble. Much love both of you.
Am I the only person who prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner when I go on a flight. I HATE plane food. I remember when I went to Asiana airline, I was on the flight for 14 hours and the food was NASTY. So, I try to always prepare my own meals
Honestly airplane food has significantly improved recently!!! It used to be so bad that I’d just opt to starve on the flight and eat when I land lol. Buuut I also now just pack my own snacks to eat and that usually helps haha
The massage for the 1st time experience is soo funny. Also relatable as I know pple who had your same experience. With time you will get to enjoy
