    Facebook influencers are usually Instagram, tiktok, and RUclips influencers. They usually use all the things. If they're smarter anyway.

    So I finished the last 20 minutes of this episode just now, so I’m more removed from the discussion on the influencers mentioned but… y’all in the comments, do you consider maybe it’s best to give the hosts the benefit of the doubt as you wish them to give it to the people they’re talking about?
    We don’t need to be so divisive about everything. A lot of these topics require long discussion to understand/communicate all the nuances, and upbringing & environment plays a BIG role in perspective. Constructive criticism can be given better.
    Also: y’all best believe I’ll be there when you do a live audience episode!! I’ll make it happen in shaa’ Allaah!! (And will have to physically hold my tongue from interjecting, most likely LOL)

    This was a tough watch. Islam the Tiktoker didn’t say anything wrong. The receipts were there and if they hadn’t blocked him and instead helped to amplify his voice they wouldn’t have been targeted. The guy is Palestinian and the fact that we can’t understand where his anger is coming from is sad. I’m noticing this a lot in my East African communities and expect more from us.

      @@haifawb8129 Ma’sha’Allah if he is Egyptian then cause then I’ll applaud him even further for amplifying Palestinian voices as if he was a Palestinian himself. So when would an appropriate time to question folks’ morals and ethics? When Rafah was completely carpet bombed? Subhanallah these are critical times and I can sense his urgency in pleading for help that’s being disregarded.

      His frustration is understandable but what has he accomplished by calling people out in the way that he did? I think we just need to accept the fact that the ummah is a lot more sensitive now than ever before and giving advice to people should like different. Sometimes the harsh approach ends up doing more damage than good so always better to approach with kindness.

    I don’t think saying that if your iman is that strong to the point where you wake up for tahajud then your iman is strong for you to where the hijab which is wajib is being harsh imo ( I know you guys said she’s right) this is about the people on tiktok

      It’s all about context and how you say it I guess. Everyone’s going to perceive what she said differently. Maybe I’m in the category of the more sensitive side, I do agree with her point though, regardless of whether it’s harsh or not.

    I think the lady was talking about the comparison between the hijabi and non hijabi, people assume that the non hijabi maybe better in the eyes of Allah

    • @CousinConnectionPodcast
      @CousinConnectionPodcast  7 месяцев назад

      Do people really believe that? She was comparing hijabis to non hijabis….but simply wearing the hijab doesn’t equate to piety. One has to fulfill their obligations and refrain from committing sins.

    i don't agree with you defending the assad sisters not only are they palestinian one of them took her children to Disneyland knowing it was on the boycott list travelling and flaunting it on social media while their on people are being beheaded we can not give them excuse anymore

      I’m almost 100% sure that didn’t happen. You might be confusing it with her and her daughter wearing mickey mouse ears/outfits for halloween back in 2022 (which that’s its own thing haha in terms of muslims celebrating halloween). But they didn’t travel there at all (I just checked her social media to make sure). It seems there’s a lot of rumors out there, and a lot aren’t based in fact. Although I agree that influencers and celebrities in general don’t need to be worshipped/obsessed over, I do love that the Asad sisters collectively fundraiser over $1million for gaza ❤

      no way you guys are judging girls whose own families had to become refugees and are affected, no way theyre literally Palestinians, these companies were funding the same people who made her own family flee Palestine, her family didnt leave Palestine because they were tourists who liked the air abroad, if you guys were eating McDonalds, going to Disneyland, having starbucks before this year, then you have no right to act big headed
      But I guess no one cared because the only people who raised awareness before last year about whats happening in Palestine were Muslim organisations and very religious figures people love to ignore due to their own insecurities, I guess only when Ariana Grande posts links Muslims care about our brother and sisters affected, maybe when a kaafir like Beyonce speaks about the Congolese Muslims being killed in mass the ummah will care sigh, muslim news or salafis people call are the only ones speaking and raising awareness currently, arent important enough to Muslims, subhanAllah the ummah is honestly cooked
