You just saved me a ton of time and bs, my man. Had been trying to get one of these stripped t55 bolts out in every way I could find just so I could change the brake pads underneath.. was about to have to pull the whole bracket off and have to bleed the brakes afterwards. Then suddenly you revealed I can just ignore the problem for the rest of forever... Fantastic work. :) Had to use a flathead screwdriver to pry the caliper up and off the old brakes, but then it was smooth sailin from there!
Hi RTJ3DCosplay no not if you’re only doing the brake pads, you can still use the same rotors unless your rotors are warped and you’re gonna replace them but for just a brake job, you don’t have to replace the rotors (discs) Thank you for watching. I really appreciate you.
Do you know if my 2002 accord will do this? The upper slide pin bolt is stripped on mine. I can get it to hinge upwards some of the way but there’s a good deal of resistance about 80%of the way up
Hi @@Randomuniverse-qn6cc you’ll probably have to buy a strip head bolt socket. They have them at Harbor Freight. They work pretty good thanks for watching a really appreciate you….,,,,,,,www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwi4lM-i6cOIAxW7LtQBHTmnJfkYABAhGgJvYQ&ae=2&co=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIuJTPounDiAMVuy7UAR05pyX5EAQYBSABEgISfvD_BwE&sph=&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAASJeRoEIs0bgzHEt7dA1NZN2ndpaZykwYuH-6C657MUFUQVoJcIx4&sig=AOD64_1rAfkDEOc32gQKHoBWQFmQQhN1kQ&ctype=46&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjVp8ui6cOIAxVm7ckDHa2gNtwQzzkoAHoECAcQIg&adurl=
Hi JayMclay if it’s a car just like mine it should you might have to compress the pistons in a little bit with a screwdriver try that maybe that’s what’s holding it from going down I hope that works. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate you.
Hi Tone zone 269 sorry to hear that spray a lot of lubricant on it then try hex or star bit that fits in their tight . If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to use like an easy out. Thanks for watching. Hi@@TrillSpillofficial i’m not sure some calipers you can do it through the bottom or the top. Try taking the bottom bolt off and see if it’ll flip up and you can take the brake pads off until you get a chance to fix that strip bolt .I’ll check on my car tomorrow and see if that’s possible. Thank you for watching.
Ok question idk when youll see this but my top bolt is stripped not the bottom idk what to do any ideas??? i tried vice grips but its js stripping it more
Hi Bigjerm sorry brother I tried to look at the comments as soon as possible but sometimes I get busy but I’m glad you fixed it and thank you very much for watching. I really appreciate you.
The Bolt Head Is Rounded Off, What Caused This To Happend Was The Diaper Sniffer Over Tighten The Bolt! I Have To REPLACE THE CALIPER! SO I WANT IT OFF!
Hi @allisonmouser try these from harbor fright bolt extractors they work good for me dont know if this link will go through not to good at sending links thank you for watching i appreciate you ,,,,,www.harborfreight.com/38-in-drive-metric-bolt-extractor-socket-set-9-piece-67894.html
Hi Guy, it won’t hurt the car. Yes you can do that. It’s not gonna hurt the car when you put it down that suspension takes a lot Thanks for watching. I really appreciate you.
