😂😂😂😂
Eating sushi for the first time in Japan qualifies as one of the best feelings in the world!
I know from experience as a travel foodie in Japan!
This is so true....Thank you for your comment...!
True that!
Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef whale meat really. Their endangered fool
I ate sushi 2 times in Japan and I personally prefer westernized sushi.
@@nigelinoooo I almost have that same feeling. Maybe i will vlog and compare Japan vs. LA sushi
That guy sound funny.....every time some one comes in. He's like ..HeeeEEEEE😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the rice falling in the shōyu multiple times gave me anxiety lol
I was so disappointed, because he kept doing it. I know it is not that easy since he is probably looking through his camera lens, but he needs to practice a little bit more!
@@3XTS I don't think it was his fault, Hiro did the same thing, the rice was too loose
@@vaabigardi It's because these chefs train more for foreigners who like to dip rice directly into the soy sauce first. Hiro back in the US has people eat his sushi properly, that's why camera guy does it too.
Vanessa Bigardi it’s a low quality sushi restaurant, that’s all
No...
$612 for 3.1M Pound Tuna.
Final offer.
Take it or leave it.
Best negotiator here!
You'll want to open up the ice pack before you left with your 3.1 million pound prize. If you're lucky, it'll be tuna heads. More likely, just the fins and spine bone.
@@jduyvun you seem to not know how serious business tuna is in japan, the seller would get decapacitated if he sold fins spine and bone :)
Westno did you just say decapcitated?
Doesn't Hiro like resemble everyone's favorite uncle or something... It would be awesome to go with him to a Sushi restaurant!
This is exactly what we like, no script, no unnecessary cutting, just authentic.
🙏 amen to that...
idk, its not my culture but am into sushi and i've seen soo much of hiro's cooking and doing sushi and i know he does a way better job. it just seems like they just put stuff together and BAM!! SUSHI!!.. show them how its done hiro...
jerome scully I agree. It doesn’t seem aesthetically presented like Hiro’s
its different in Tokyo. Its fast paced city life there so the expectation is you get in, get your food, pay, and get out. To us, we care more about aesthetics.
Hahaha... I fully agree
Sushi sanmai is a chain with most branches open 24hrs. Fish quality wise It's the best bang for your bucks. Over all quality is in between kaiten sushi(conveyer belt) and high end places. I'd say it's leaning towards the high end.
All things aside, when you have a sushi craving at 3:30am, you look no further than sushi sanmai.
Yeah, it looks like lazy sushi but F it, it's still looks delicious asf lol 😋
The fluidity and quality of the video was so trippy to watch. Not sure if anyone else agrees. We've come far in streaming videos.
Was shot on a phone camera so it wouldn’t intimidate the chef.
Been waiting for this series. I'm so excited to watch every second of this series.
Thank you so much 😊
Sushi Zanmai is amazing... good quality at a decent Price*
* i know Hiro and Charles paid 150$ but they went all out... if you go there to have a regular meal you pay around 30-50$
Yes so true. Their sets are good enough
It's really good!
11:35 "gonna give my best description of what this tastes like" (dunks it in soy saucee)
Good afternoon to Hiro & cameraman!
Camera-kun
It's konnichiwa since they're in Japan.
Beautiful intro, seeing the water as you landed was a treat...my mouth watered the entire meal, everything looked exquisite...
That reminds me so much of the first sushi restaurant I went to in Tokyo with my Dad when we went to Japan in 2001. The prices were not very different back then, I remember Tako was 180 yen a piece, and it turned out to be my favorite. I went back for lunch twice and just got several pieces of Tako, and they served some very good japanese beer in a huge clear mug... man I loved that place
You guys are having lots of fun good for you😃
Thank you Eric 😊
That looks like such a great time with awesome food.
Hiro:"let's go go Japan!!!"
Land of the Raising Sun:"Konnichiwa"
Besides the drool all over my keyboard and shirt now, That camera quality is Spot on and just lets me appreciate that sushi even more.
No lie Mr.Cameraman you were kinda killing me when you were slamming the rice part of the Nigiri into the soy sauce.( i was slightly triggered) haha.
27 years since I’ve had sushi in Japan... takes me back. TY Hiro
All of this looked so good, I was so jealous watching the two of you enjoying all that. That was a LOT of food. Beautiful pieces of art. I loved how they greeted each guest as they came in and said something again as they left.
You can't get any fresher sushi than watching it being taken out of the water alive, cleaned and prepared for you to enjoy.
I’ve been watching your videos from 2015 and have never stopped since, until this day I haven’t been unsatisfied by you
Was just there in June (Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyōto); very nicely mannered people. I wish LA’s public transportation was half as efficient as Tokyo’s! Tanoshimu
Tera-san has definitely more refined style in presentation.... more of an upscale restaurant. This sushi/sashimi resembles casual fast food handling and eating. Enjoyed both of you and thank you. BTW, any planned trips to nearby Yokohama where I grew up?
you guys were getting more rice in your dipping cup than in your mouth.
And a huge difference in the amount of soy sauce used between the two.
I use spoon
PapaKryptoss ur making me gag lol
Never dip rice in soy only fish lol. Use hand to eat sushi too, not sticks. They would embarrass somebody at a dinner party in Japan lol
Mos Matic dude they make sushi for a living who are you to tell them how to eat it
Omggg so many of my favorite people are going to Japan and it makes me want to go sooo bad!!
It's so colorful . love sushi
I think next time I go there I can get 50% off by saying good afternoon Hiro hahahahha :)
Amazing! My next holiday destination is Japan !
Hiro: good afrenoon
Other cook: run away 🚀🚀🚀
Very delicious sushi in Japan. Japan is my dream place to vacation
Your chan is one of my favorites fellas. Always keeping it interesting.
Cheers !!!!
Charles and hiro.... can you always flash on the screen where you are please??. I’m using your recommendations as to where’s the best place to go during my stay in Tokyo or Japan for that matter..... thanks 🙏
I’ve been there, incredible place. Best sushi I’ve ever had.
I truly wish I could be with you guys! You don't know me but I never went to the party, I WAS THE PARTY! ✌👍 Keep up the great work please!
That tuna was bidded as the first tuna of the year, therefore it was more of a symbol for good luck and marketing.
You're inspiring me and I learned to make sushi from you Master Hiro. Thank you.
Woah
Moon Tae-il Good afternoon.
Right choice of music - exciting
I just moved to Japan a few months ago, trying new sushi places has become a hobby for me almost.
It looks like you guys had some fun and some sushi in Tokyo that is awesome to be with a friend and enjoying a meal enjoy Tokyo my friends
Thank you Cathy...this place so good and so friendly prices. We went back 2 days later 😋
dude this video makes me sooo hungry!!! you guys are very lucky. keep uploading please!
Amazing video guys can’t wait to see more of Tokyo!!
6:00 rice: I survived
Rice: NOoooo!
I visit this restaurant every time I visit relatives in Tokyo. For those of us flying in from Canada/US, make it your first stop. Your jet lag will be making you waking up at 2 or 3am local Japan time, so might as well hit up Tsukiji fishmarket for the world famous Tokyo Tuna Auction....which starts around 4 am I think it is?
Yes the best place in Tokyo. The fish market moved to a new location but there are food vendors still here which you will see from next video. Best part is this place is open 24/7!!!
Its my biggest dreams to go to Japan I love everything about it from anime to samurai from Tokyo to Kyoto what's not to love about Japan.
For me that's simple rice lol
@@craigsayer8710 I'm Cambodian rice won't be enough
@@momoyokawakami7732 think you read my answer wrong the reason I said easy rice is because I'm allergic to rice
Not only are you going to Japan, you’ve got an incredible tour guide too 🤣
this looks sooo good
Hiro you are so handsome, Thank You for sharing,. Love from Sacramento, California.
Japan is Amazing! Best trip I've been to yet. Great vlog.
Looks Amazing!
when chef breaks a smirk you know its amazing
Yalls videos always make me hungry!
6:35 Captives watching from their tank while Hiro Terada pronounces death sentence.😈
K really wishI could make the drive south to Miami and meet Hiro!
stalker alert :O
So when are we gonna see role switch? Hiro holds the camera and cameraman does the cooking? :D
Amazing experience. Will never stop going.
One of my dreams is to go to Japan and eat like u guys keep them videos coming thank u
Great! Finally you made it to Japan!
I come all the time but first time in Tokyo like this 😊
Hiro lowkey looking like a Yakuza boss in the backseat with the darkness.
watching him chop-stick fumble that stuff was driving me NUTS!
Hell yeah lads. Live & love it up
to so much Seth...this place was so good :)
i love japan
You guys should do a collaboration with Only in Japan.
Good Afternoon to Tokyo :) Sushi Zanmai has good quality for a reasonable price. They are also open 24hrs.
Yes they are so good...one of our favorite in Tokyo
Good afternoon from Taiwan 🇹🇼
taiwan+1
Wow. $3.5k - $4.5k per month to make simple sushi in Japan? I’m getting $2.5k a month here in the states to make rolls containing 5+ ingredients drenched with 3 different sauces that completely masks the flavors of the fish, and a bunch of garnish that ends up in the trash.
terada-san eating sushi like a pro! guy-jin, not so much... maybe ok...
Im here eating popcorn wishing it was sushi 😂
Just close the eyes 👀
this sushi looks sooo goood
Mmmm yumm...hugs from Norway :-)
That fish blood splatter! 😲😲
This establishment is a higher end place for the masses. Has good cost performance.
My favorite sushi place! cheap and superb quality!
Yes!!!! A favorite for us too!!!
Hey guys, i'm new to this Channel and i absolutly love the videos. Not only the content, but you two as a duo just go very well together.
I have one question though: What's up with the "Good Afternoon" comments? xD
There's a huge difference between eating sushi with a good soy sauce and regular soy sauce... that's certainly one of the reasons why japanese sushi tastes even better, cause they know it makes a huge difference...
Camera man needs to polish his chopstick skills! You can also pick up the sushi with your fingers. It's no problem.
I like them dip rice in soy sauce too.
Looks incredible!!! Please hiro next time tell more about your experience and how the sushi is!!
I support eating fish of almost any kind, but not whale... is kind of sad you guys are supporting it. With all the subscribers you guys have you guys should also be educating your public what is okay to consume and what is morally incorrect to do so.
uptownkidd99 yes this
Have a great time you both! I hope you can also show great koi ponds once your stomachs are full. Have fun!
Ty so much Phillip 😍
have been to this sushi restaurant for many time, still remember this chef with special voice for the 'welcome'
they have a different way to show the Japanese hospitality, especially when you say 'delicious' in Japanese to the chef.
Wow awesome...! He’s great sushi chef nice man
Sheldon Wu
Now I’m gonna have to google translate delicious in japanese
@@EuroGuy85 yeah mate, when you say 'Oishi', all chefs would say thank you to you.
i've been there before.. a great experience
divertente questa puntata 🙂👏👍👍,il fatto che le palline di riso si rompessero non lo avevo mai visto prima..🤔🤔
Looks super yummy would love to try this place chef
I loved the sushi in Tokyo. I ate in a small area in Ebisu and another one in Shibuya.
I died at 15:21 XD! Great video Chef Hiro Lots of love
Thank you so much 😊
Man you guys must really love the tune of their
The high pitched sushi chef is the real MVP
Lol them truly look like brothers nice nice lmao them sushi’s tho damn I wanna come to Japan so bad
Bro get a camera stand or something. You could also have taken shots of each piece before you started eating them so that when you did pick it up to eat you wouldn't lose your grip cause you held on the piece so long like 50% of the time. Looks delicious, and the price didn't seem too bad for what you got!
Yummy! Who's craving for some sushi? :)
cameraman really pocketing off Hiro. Damn! Hiro do it by yourself.
nice first day in japan. i loved the look of all the sushi u had
Thank you 😊 was so good
They are so damn polite
That looked so amazing , wish i was here with you my master .
Hiro, my friend, g11d aftern11n!!!

I ❤️ 🇯🇵 and 🍣
Charles you're so excited about the sushi yours keep falling apart while filming lol. Enjoy your time in Japan guys :-)
YOu can use the ginger as a brush for the piece that got dumped into the soy sauce :D
This shrimp was just alive few second ago???
It's still moving you know...
lmao
Doesn't get more fresh then that!!!
