Within the first 45seconds he's explained the exact issue we have so many times. People see a racing drone on a track but unless there is a spare set of goggle available they can't view it
Note also with the antennas on this monitor, only one antenna is being used on analog. Both antennas used with HDzero This was noticed when Mads Tech did a breakdown of the monitor
That is accurate. Ian has yet to explore its high receiver sensitivity. Based on our tests, it performs comparably to other high-end, two-antenna receivers. This is something I take pride in.
@@TheCarl1206 Wow, thanks for confirming Carl! You deservedly should take pride in HDzero! Can't wait for my monitor to arrive, and see what you do next 😊
Pretty sweet little monitor. It was invaluably handy at the mayhem race! Definitely getting one of these for spectating and bench work… perfect for it and at this price point, Carl again and again delivers on HDZ being the way to go for me! Thanks for the great balanced review Ryan, it definitely has its place
So now we have a third HDZero monitor that’s not only significantly cheaper than the other 2 brands I got but with significantly more features and much better design. I’m down! Monitors are super useful for social flying. And being able to hook up another display to this magical box will get a ton of use at gatherings.
Good work Carl. Feel like having carlzeiss on such device. I hope soon any manufacture release Rp.500.000,- digital display for such ips. Ill spent 3screen for my 3cam. That would be great than goggles. HDZero should and must available here in indonesia. The community is waiting manufacturer full support, and availability.
Hell yeah I just bought this thing, Clicked this link from the discord and Ryan calls it " really weird " I already know im going to love this thing lol
This is awesome. I have a teenie weenie Hawkeye knock off for analog. This would be the best Bench replacement. Having the wifi on the analog module, I mean "Doesn't evenrone have cell phones" ;-) This is the one thing I didn't know I needed for this year. Price isn't that bad really considdering what an analog only one with a DVR cost, thanks for this!
How is the monitor holding up? For years I have been debating myself what gear to start fpv with. Specifically - choosing the video system is the hardest part. As good as DJI looks, I am very sensitive to latency in video games, and since I spend so much time in sims practicing quad flying, I bet I would hate to suddenly feel 3 to 4 times the latency of my gaming setup. Also, do not like the idea of sudden signal loss for digital setups as heard lately about goggles 3 and o3. I felt like I would want analog or HDzero and with nothing around me to try those, it seems like this monitor is the best place to start. I already have my radiomaster pocket run in really well. Next is this monitor with a couple antennas and then a small analog tiny quad (looking at you drashark) to start enjoying irl flying after all these years dreaming. Figured, if HDzero is not for me, at least I will have some type of analog receiver as there is a world of interesting analog setups to explore.
Beautiful product. What are a good set of antennas for this monitor. Can any RHCP 5.4ghz work with it? Side note... what is the best way to get better penetration with hdzero aside from the basic changing Mw.
What makes the turning on latency ? What makes Switching channel also latency ? I do remember when Switching TV analog channel on cathode raytube tv, its sooo fast. It was setted already for each channel on tv, and it will do instantly.
What’s the output resolution on the hdmi ? I hooked it up to my tv using an analog signal and worked fine. But I hooked them up to my Xreal glasses but only got a box with lines down it in the glasses. The glass work fine on everything else. Maybe an update to allow different output resolutions ?
All good my friend, I'm talking about Brazil. I have Hdzero glasses without any updates, can I just install the latest one or should I install them all in the order they were released?
I just powered mine up, detected my hdzero whoop just fine on R7. But couldn't detect my analogue whoop at all. Do I need to do anything? Or have I perhaps broken my VTX in a crash without realising it while flying line of sight?
Switched antennas patch on left, tall on right, powered up, scanning on A1, found on A5. Scanning seems to not scan? Why do we need to select channels if it's scanning? Stupid question, but...
That's kind of funny , since I've got my goggles for about a year now I take my goggles & drone + radio everywhere I go!(in case of boredom I can fly a pack)! Get ragged on a bit from my wife!
Why why why no hdmi in... if it had it would be the one to rule them all... now it is s hit and miss if you are not 100% into racing... I like to connect caddex and ruby... got the hdzero googles and is the market for a monitor. But this is not it!!!

I swear if they made a v2 goggle with this board in it...I'd buy without hesitation. Just imagine...pick channel and send
Must have spotter tool. handy for spectating otherss. It will be very popular in racing.
Great overview, can’t wait to have this in my kit to share my flight with friends

We need a analog fatshark module reciver with the hdzero goggles magic. It would make analog great again!
Just ordered. Thanks Ryan.
Well done Eislee
With the cost of this being 175$, is there any possibility of a cheaper hdzero goggle utilizing this system in the future?
Congrats Eislee!

Already heard plenty of people ordering it… guess I have to too. 😂

i see your baby pilot hihi :)
Is it correct that you cannot play the recorded videos from the SD card on this monitor. No video player, 'just' recording function?
Correct
@@RyanQuellet Thank you Ryan! It is still an amazing device! 😃

Can the monitor receive all the analog Bands or only the ones used by HDZero?
All the analog bands.
Could we see a 2nd gen with an hdmi input ?
Can you explain what input would be useful for?. I know it has out but in fairly new to this. What would in be for?. Thx
Short answer is no.
Does it have ELRS Backpack?
It does not
Love the 2:20 cameo 😂
Haha, she is showing up in more of my videos lately
cute daughter😂😂😂

Probably cost and complexity. Aren't there plenty of small monitors with hdmi input?
