I agree about Ravenscroft Piano and also prefere its sound over Korg Module pianos. Sometimes I find it too realistic and classical concert sounding, though. So, I really would like to try Pure Piano for some jazzy ambient and lo-fi.

I came from Pianist Pro (that i liked a long time) go to Neo Soul Keys (that killed my CPU Resources), to Retro Piano ;-) and use Module Pro and iM1 (in Gadget 2 ). But open for a good new Piano Sound.

I'm just getting a handle on Piano Motifs, thanks for exposing me to that must have app. I grew up with a real piano at my house and the options and variations available take me back to hearing a real piano in a room I'll be getting this app for sure, however as you pointed the delay seems a bit wonky but not a game changer. Yes, Ravenscroft has an excellent natural and full sound. On the other hand, for me, making music with ios apps is fun. To experiment, try some ideas. To work things out seriously i need my computer. With that in mind Ravenscroft is too expensive for me. I like Pure Piano very much as an alternative! I like the sound (not just a bunch of pitched samples like the Korg Module...) and it has a lot of extras. I also like the user interface, it seems to be very intuitive.
There is always room for good pianos! This one looks interesting and seems to have good sounds. I really think it would be a good addition to any work sounds

Yes! Although... It has to be said that these sampled pianos really don't have enough velocity layers for truly expressive playing. Go check out the open betas for the jax pianos - some bugs at the moment and other issues, including some things regarding the sound the dev is awareness, but the level of velocity control they have will make you aware of how limited Pure Piano's expressiveness is. So I hope the bugs get ironed out in this jax series.
For pianos I usually am quite happy with just samples from Pianobook for example, but the morphing pad and the easy curve configurations might make this finally a piano app worth having for me!
How cool it is and lucky we are. So many choices for professional piano synths. I thought Ravenscroft would stay on top forever, but it's not about being the best. I look at synths as being a member of the top tier. Why? Because everyone has a different ear and different taste. Some of us are purists and our faves are the ones tbat sound like one of the old classics. Other of us don't judge by what came before. Personally I find it strange to judge based on an old piece of gear or old musical instrument. That's what makes it interesting. Personal opinions.

All three sound pretty good, Pure's versatility is interesting for sure, not sure if I'd need a new ipad to load it onto mind as I'm desperate short of space these days... Michael's playing is particularly sweet in this example. His prolific output reminds me of a good friend's father who is a visual artist (printmaker / painter mainly) who long ago counted how many opportunities he had to make a piece of work and compared that to Picasso's lifetime output. He's now in his seventies and still produces a few drawings a day :)

When you compared it to RC, it actually sounded better with Pure Piano, to my own opinion of course.
