Thanks for the insights! It may not be essential and one could achieve similar results combining apps one has already, but I think it's a nice package, especially at intro price, if you're looking for a quick way to get this thereminy sound and use of the touch screen is a nice... touch. 😉 Good suggestions, Gav, with the latch and selecting presets while playing. 👍

Thanks for this, Gav. Bought the app yesterday but only had a quick play so far - I’m hoping it’ll calm my ongoing GAS for a Theremini, which I’d probably never learn to play properly. Touch screen looks way more controllable!

If it’s touch screen then it can’t be a theremin. The theremin is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer.

Mr. Gavinsky gives thorough revisions of apps, and this one has helped me in the decision about wether purchase it or not. The great point is that the theremin is hard to play (for me) and the app comes with a good interface and way easier to play. Cheers!

Not sure if you've checked out Mononoke by Brqm Bos, but it does this kind of thing exceptionally well. The way the sounds interact and affect one another is brilliant.

Many people trying to make a living from their iOS music hobby by these tutorials I think if someone wants to do tutorial videos then the develop should pay them, not try to demand patreon memberships and only give promo codes to such members. I have seen over the years how the iOS music scene still continues to be experimental and not yet fully professional. As such it’s still a niche market. If one goes to audiobus listings of apps these days, it’s a deluge of auv3 fx apps and synths mostly . I mean, how many reverbs and delays does one need lol There has been minimal innovation of late, especially in regards to apps that are intuitive and make use of touch screen in unique ways You know, like ThumbJam, geoshred, nodebeat etc and that old retronyms app dopplerpad which was way way before your time mate I remember audio copying and pasting into the original NanoStudio and beatmaker 2 to make complete tracks and it was a heap of fun Since auv3 the fun has died out really, actually even before that it did due to people trying to turn iOS into a desktop situation of more complexity and more tabs and scrolling through pages of settings lol Despite all that and the release of Logic Pro, still there is no fully professional edm artist to come out of the iOS scene and make a name for themselves Something has gone very wrong here It’s all about money and the originality of iOS has been killed off forever It’s just another platform now It used to be the most unique and fun and portable one Thus I lament lol

Great overview, I was like another sequencer..bah 😒….but this is superb, would love to try this with percussion. Now I’m interested in transposing the sequencer’s phrasing for performance… I like the stage ( scenes ), combined with modifiers is a powerful way expanding/breaking down the groove… superb over Gavin
