I have this gun in 12 gauge, bought it new from a pawn shop before Covid for $99. From the same shop, I got a nice sling and butt pad for $5 each…used. Ordered 5 shot sleeve from eBay. Watched a lot of videos on modifications of single shot 12 gauges before starting mine. Bought a new fiber optic front sight in orange fiber, easy install. Loosened trigger tension screw 1/4 turn, in the hollow stock, I added small barrel cleaning kit, small tin box fire kit, two short adapters, and 2 slugs, and 1 OO buck round. Since the butt is covered with the butt pad, I only installed one of the butt plate screws back in it. Folded it over, wrapped in a lightweight blanket and stored in a plastic box in the truck of my SUV, along with some food, bivy bags, small tarp, candle heater, and flashlight. A mini bugout or get home set up. But this gun is the basis of my survival gear.
I have the 12ga version of this and i took the butt plate off and filled the hollow cavity with paper towels (to mitigate shell rattling/also doubles as fire tinder) and in the nest of paper towels i have a ziplock bag with a slug and a #1 buckshot shell in it. Doesn't really add any noticeable weight. I also have a nylon 5 shell holder on the side. But ive also got an 8in rifled 12ga to 22lr adapter that i really like from a company called short lane. Id like to get a 9mm and 38spl version as well. Great little guns!
The platform is so customizable to each person's choices. I try to keep mine a bit lighter being a one armed individual. Sounds like you've embraced the idea. 👍🏻
Nice set up! Does look a lot like the Hatfield, there's videos out there on how to lighten the trigger pull on them, might be the same or similar on yours. Interesting how much difference there is without the rifling in the adapter. Good video!
@Life Is Good yes Natchez that's where I ended up getting mine. Some of the other places were sold out. Be sure to order for your shotguns gauge. Hope this helps.
Do yourself a favor and look at Chaszel. Quality and value right there. I have a FedArm SS12 that I use Chaszel adapters in. I run the 18" rifled adapters and love them. So far I've stocked adapters in 9mm, .45ACP, .357 Mag/.38 Spcl and .327 Federal Magnum. Yes, at 18 inches they are long, but that yields velocity + accuracy. Also - invest in a Lee Load All 2. Inexpensive and easy to master reloader. I'm using mine to work up some 20 gauge buck & ball loads. 8 pellets of nickel plated #4 buck topped by a .58 caliber musket ball. Initial results are very promising. I'm tweaking the recipe a bit and will load some more this afternoon. I'm going to wrap the ball in a prelubed patch to try and increase the accuracy. My buffered #4 buck is pretty spot on POA/POI. I want to get the ball to center a bit better, it is consistent - just consistently low and a bit left out of my smooth bore Mossberg 500.
Hey Randy, thanks for the heads up. I went to their site and wow good prices and variety. Unfortunately the Rona virus has eaten all their stock at the moment lol. Good for them, bad for me. I'll check back when things settle down a bit.
I just re read this and those are some awesome sounding loads. I been looking into a Lee Load all and it'd be neat to experiment with things like you've been trying. Oh got two inserts from Chazel for my HR 12 gauge, 12 to 20 and the 38/357 rifled. The cool thing is, I can use the 20 gauge adapters in the 12 gauge now they nest right in.
i found a 20 gauge 18.5 one on black friday for 87 bucks total i hope lasts a while for the price but i’m to be expected it’s the bone dry basics but that’s what i want and like
I have an HR in 12 gauge already. It has a 20 gauge adapter. I wanted a second single shot and they only had 410 or 20 gauge. So 20 gauge got purchased. The Nomad was also shorter and lighter than my HR. The stock pack was from ebay 15.00 bucks. If you get one be sure straps go through all the slots sewn onto the pouch or it will not fit right.
Oh man that sucks. Maybe a barrel clamp with a pitcantinny rail. UTG make a shotgun rail mount. Mount it in front of the handgaurd and mount a red dot. Ty for the comments. T.

In the stock sleeve I carry 5 rounds of #4 shot.
Sounds squared away! These are good choice for emergency truck gun. 👍🏻
That part about the loc was mad unexpected and funny. Smack the crap outta somebody 😂
Nice video, had no idea about the scope mount ... I bought one of these and love it, also bought the 38/357 adapter rifled and that is also fun.
Thx, it seems finding that mount is getting more difficult. Maybe it's just the supply lines. The adapters make these guns so practical and fun.

Ty appreciate that.
The sling swivels are for a standard 1 inch sling
Hi, I had trouble fitting a 1 in sling because the rear swivel measures ID
.85 in. and the front is .95 ID.
It makes you smoosh the sling.
The scope mount is available at Sportsman's Finest. Thanks Dave Canterbury for your inspiration and channel.

@@Rugerfiend Chaszel just got in 12 gauge to 45-70 Government today. Snagged mine this morning. Happy shooting!

That's a great price! What kind was it?
Hey, I just picked up one of these to today in 12g. Love the stock pack on yours. But out of curiosity, why not get a 12g and use a 20g adapter?

Bro I got a 20-gauge 26inch its worth the money.Didn't know they accessory for it
Ty for the comment. It's a decent shotgun. With a chamber insert and a scope mount you can gain tons of versatility.
Where did you find the shell pouch ? What brand is it
Hi, it is from Ebay. It was unbranded, cost 14 bucks from Acidtactical.
Also mine dose not have the holes for the scope mount.

Where did you the pouch? Brand?
Acidtactical on Ebay. It is unbranded and cost 13.99 dollars. Ty for the comment. I saw many sellers of this type pouch on Ebay.
@@Rugerfiend Thanks
