      You can score it with a utility knife & use linesman pliers - little sanding or filing & opens great 👍 🤠

    I purchased the stock black model of this shotgun. No problem with the latch, but a bit stiff to open. I simply opened and shut it about 100 cycles and it “wore in” and now works flawlessly. This is my vehicle carry gun for bugout situation. Put a 5 sheet sleeve on it, and with the hollow butt store a basic cleaning kit, fire starter kit, and a few extra rounds of OO buck! I like the sling eyelets and put a woven paracord sling on it, along with a fiber site. Also a short .22lr sleeve and one box of .22lr in the butt stock.

    I ordered a nomad and when it came in, it was so tight it was super hard to close and the trigger pull was so heavy I could not fire it. I had to pull it apart and use 600 grit to reduce the width of the ejector to allow it to close. I turned out the hammer spring screw till I was able to cock and fire it. It was not fit hardly at all at the factory. I can't believe it made it out the door. . Funny thing is the trigger guard problem operated fine.

    I've got one this past year and it works flawlessly and I've shot it a lot. All different types of shells. Maybe it was a problem they fixed already. Mime goes above the butt stock. No groove

    I just bought a 20ga nomad and I'm have a bit of a issue in fully disassembling the barrel from the receiver. There is one flathead screw and where the barrel breaks down at that I can get out but I can't get the rest of it out so I can take it apart and give it a good cleaning/oiling.

    My local gun dealer has these in 12ga and 20ga. I'm thinking about picking up one in 20ga bc I have a bad right shoulder. Every reviewer comments on the punch of the 12ga. I'll test the gun B4 I buy it for the problem shown...👍😺

    I just purchased two of these. One for inventory in my shop and one for my son to turkey hunt with. Both of them will not lock up into battery. Very disappointing. I am calling ATI Monday.

      Will be interesting to hear what they have to say. Clearly a quality issue that needs to be resolved on these models.

      I took another look after watching your video. I discovered that on both the guns I have, the extractor is too long on the bottom. This keeps it from recessing back into place when closing. I should be able to fix it with a file. Just poor quality control.

    • @joshuaselby8744
      @joshuaselby8744 3 года назад

      @@maverickgunworks8777 I ended up sending them both back to ATI. They remilled the ejectors. They seem to be working now but I discovered more problems. First, the picatinny rail is not milspec. I had to file it out to fit a red dot on it. Second, my 10 year old son can barely cock the hammer back or pull the trigger. I am definitely not a fan of these and I do not recommend them.

    I think they may have to recall those. Maybe not a safety issues since it is locking up solid, but I mean damn. Come on ATI wake tf up and don't put stuff out like this. Whoever is supposed to quality check these should be fired and replaced with someone that will actually look at the firearm.

    I purchased a .410 and 20g at the same time. The .410 breaks open flawless. The 20 not so much. It’ll open but you have to really slam it back to open. Not ideal. It goes to show that it’s not a perfect gun, but for the price… I don’t mind trimming a bit off.

    A quick question for you what stocks will fit on these Nomads? I looking at putting wood on to one of these. Yes I know they are a cheap shotgun and the wood will run as much as the shotgun. thank you for any help.

    Here’s an example why firearms products made in the US might be better as any kind of quality assurance issues can be addressed a lot quicker with a lot more responsiveness

    Maybe having an external latch on top like an HR shotgun on on Winchester model 37 model shotgun might be a better idea

    • @maverickgunworks8777
      @maverickgunworks8777  2 года назад +1

      Not too many. You just need to stop by your local smith and find a pad close enough. You can grind the pad to fit as needed. A good pad makes a world of deference hah.

    What am I suppose to do when it breaks open, but you have to hold the friggin' gun against your leg to completely open it? It is so tight it's almost impossible to break it in half to load a shell. It's not even funny! Wait until normal wear loosens it? That could be a long time

    Why is it necessary to modify the stock on a newly purchased firearm in order for it to function correctly? This is a major QC issue! Everyone should return them until the company gets their head out of their @ss and delivers a firearm that functions properly out of the box...

    I had a similar issue, only it was the screw holding down the trigger guard causing the problem. The head was too big, blocking the thing from going back all the way.
