Merci. I've been practicing this for the last couple weeks, and yes. It's a game changer. I'm still a Newbie, but my piano teacher is very supportive. I didn't start music until late in life and joked all my life that I was born with two left ears. But it's now two years since I bought the piano, and have become a music theory geek. I'm trying to play Moulin de Ville (Burgmüller) on my ukulele. La Petite Réunion is a great piece to use thirds.
And don't forget that an inversion of a third is a sixth.
