TU for a perfectly orchestrated video and a simple yummy recipe. My mom used to make this minus the apple and onion. Those two added ingredients make this dish much more flavorful. I made it on the top of the stove for simplicity and less clean up. Great job.
Also, Betty this is super easy to make, it’s so delicious. Like I mentioned in this video. Took my son and nephew to Wisconsin and flew into the twin cities in 2017. We rented a car to go to La crosse , WI. We went to Cashton, WI to see the Amish. On our way back we ate at an awesome German restaurant in Minneapolis that had this and other wonderful German food. My son and I shared a meal for 2 there with a variety of German food. I was very impressed with that restaurant. It’s had a lasting mark on us all. Love German food 🥰
I think you meant to comment on the pork steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. This is the German pork chops with sauerkraut Bro 😃That’s what driving and watching my videos does 😅Thanks though for watching 🥰
Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate your comment. This particular video had gotten a lot of attention. I’m seeing how many people have a great appreciation for German style pork chops. A crock pot would be an awesome way to cook these! I would sear them first. They will give them much more flavor. Let me know how you like them. Thanks again 😊
Been in the mood for pork lately so will have to give this recipe a try, with the sauerkraut recipe you recently posted. I like how simple and quick this is. Thanks for sharing :)
Wow, growing up in Era of Brady bunch im familiar with pork chops and apple sauce but I've never had that or with actual apples! Seems like such an interesting combination! Tempted to try it!
Liked #24, I thought you might be from Germany 🇩🇪 with most of the videos leaning towards German cuisine cooking videos. The last time I went to Berlin (2013), the big thing was CurryWurst. Your pork chip dish does look simple to make and delicious. A nice potaro pancake and a beer would complete this cuisine well, especially in winter 😀 Very tender pork chop! My mother secret ingredient to make any meat more tender? Paper thin slice of kiwi 🥝 let it set for 30 minutes then take it out before cooking.
My older son lives in Berlin. That kiwi technique sounds interesting! Never heard of that! Just the last few videos have been German meals. However, I love all kinds of food 😊
@Viola’s baked and cooked delights Oh, I see! Must be nice to have family in different parts of the world. Berlin was awesome! Visit Seoul and have some ridiculously spicy food 😋 Just kidding, not every food is spicy but we love raw ingredients of garlic, chili, chives, onions!!!
@Viola’s baked and cooked delights I respect other nationals who like kimchi, not because it is my national dish but for the fact giving respect to people who can handle spiciness!!! Makes you a very tough woman 😊 You have to visit Berlin! I loved it there. For a capital city, it is quite calmn. Many charms, history, museums, cafes (discovered illy brand coffee here, not in italy). You can find every national good in Berlin. Incredible city!!!
I usually make mine in the crockpot and it’s super tender but I’ll try adding brown sugar. The other thing to have with it in my opinion is mashed potatoes.
Viola, those pork chop look delicious! I, unfortunately, have a tendency to dry them out when pan frying or baking them! So frustrating! Could you put the uncooked pork chops in the casserole with the sauerkraut/apple mixture and bake it that way?
Thanks Linda! they were 😊They r amazing! Technically, you could put the pork chops in a pan without searing them, but it would rob them of the full flavor and technique. I sear them at a med high for 5 minutes. Instead of medium high, you can go with medium and set the timer so you don’t go over the time. Hope that helps 👍🥰
WOW 👌amazing Sharing 👌 wonderful video 👌 incredible effort 👌 thanks for sharing 🙂 many many likes 👍👍👍👍👍👍your friend and Subscriber 🙂🙂hope to see you around 🙂Stay happy, blessed and well connected 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Oh, Viola, you have rather strange ideas about German dishes. Where are the potatoes?! Why is there only a little meat in the Sauerkraut and not a big piece next to it? It should be a big piece Kassel meat or pork knuckle or pig's feet.
Hi there!! Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it. I agree with you that potatoes are more appropriate to serve with this. I have eaten German food a few times and I love it. This tutorial was only to show the pork with sauerkraut, however it would of been better to show it with a traditional German side. I just uploaded a German goulash today. Thank you!! Btw, my older son is living in Berlin, and has lived in Germany almost 5 years. He loves it. I made a German sugar cake also that is his favorite in Germany 🇩🇪
Oh that looks so good. I love sauerkrauet. ❤️
Thanks Karen 🥰Amazing is putting it mildly! You have to try this ❤

@@lindaaulenti3087 Thank you so much😊You’re right, the apple & onion make it!!
Love this! My husband's family is German on his Dad's side and My Grandfather was also German. I can make this for my husband.
Yes, it’s rewarding to make this from scratch, so good and so healthy 🥰

I love kimchi, my sister used to buy it all the time. It’s very good. I’ve bought it a few times.
We were going to visit my son and then Covid hit. Will hopefully visit him eventually. He comes to visit us. I’ve been to Germany but not Berlin.
