Much respect to you Aussies!!! Your car culture is second to none and that's coming from the United States. I'm just now learning about Australian cars and that's one that I would like to have.
@Shawn 101 yeah that's a shame that none of your cars can be sold here. If there was a kit to change them over to left hand drive cars I bet they would sell. I don't have anything against the Japanese but everyone raves about the skyline and now that they're over 25 years old they can be imported in the United States and on the west coast like in California they're all jumping up and down thinking they won the lottery. I'm a V8 man myself That's what I grew up driving and that's what I'll drive till they take my keys away.
I have a lot of respect for the Aussies. Growing up watching the "Mad Max" movies, and seeing those cars in them. Australia has also a great car culture just like here in the U.S. I like the Holden Monaro. It's a GM.
Aussie muscle cars are just awesome any 2 door steel bumpered got to be the best and favourites and much loved of most old school street machiners 💪👍❤️
What he said about the rear quarters on these is true..they, along with the XA-B-C series Ford coupes had the sexiest looking rear ends of any cars built here in Oz. though my first love will always be the HK Monaro first and foremost.
HT and HG were better looking at the rear for my money, the narrow tail lights did nothing for me, I regret selling my HG munro. But meh, I was a V8 obsessed kid, and it was a 186 S
@@5lcalais1 I sold my "Copper Bronze" HG Munro for more or less what I paid for it $2k in 1993. I have a mate, who owns not 1, but TWO GTS Monaro's but in the 4 door. An original factory 350 T400, and an original 308 M21 converted to Toploader & 9''. Beautiful muscle cars the HQ Munro. Glenn...tip my hat mate...videos getting better all the time...and the sounds!..10 outta 10!..just my personal tip....no music(at all while ya talking)....the car should be the star....and yourself naturally...wish you success !
Thanks mate! These eps were originally produced for TV and the networks all push for music. Thankfully we don't have to worry about it moving forward as all new content from Feb 2021 will be developed specifically for RUclips. Raw sound and very little music if any at all. :-)
The front end reminds me of an AMC Javelin.. The rear end reminds me of a Chevrolet Chevelle.. She turned out magnificent.. best part is the man built it to please himself..not others.. its his car now in more ways than one.. X-LENT ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Come on in all seriousness they didn't come out with a fast enough engine I think this is exactly how they should be done well done mate it's perfect 😎😉✌🤘
Hq Gts 350 had 225kw ,for it's time it was quick but rare as rocking horse poo, 308 in hq I think was like 190/200kw so they weren't slow tbh ,253 n 202 u can just throw into the harbour 🤣 Hq was good cause they were pre pollution gear, hj in 74 got all that and even the poor ol 308 got knocked down a lowsy 140/150kw or something stupid and the 307 n 350 chev option was gone too ,it's probably the biggest reason Hq's are so saught after. Personally I'd do exactly what he's done with this one, who doesn't love a blower hanging out the bonnet 👌🤘
That car has got twice as much power as my Holden VY SS Commodore & the HQ model is my favourite out of the Kingswoods,my dad used to drive a 202 6 cylinder powered 1972 model wagon,I didn't like how Holden Americanised it in the HJ model when they went for the Cadillac style. So I liked the HQ's ergonomics the most out of the Kingswoods, it's like I also have a VL Commodore because I liked their style the best & it ran the Nissan engine, the VH Commodore would be second on the list followed by the VB-VC Commodore. I didn't like how they try to Americanise the VK Commodore by creating the illusion that it was a bigger car by making the instrument cluster & dash which was all boxy in shape !
That car is beautiful dont get me wrong but that FORD FALCON XA GT COUPE is the tuffest meanest looking aussie car, even Chip Foose American car builder came to Australia to judge a car show said he never seen anything like it he said it was the best looking muscle car in the world he was upset that USA didn't get them
Hi Glenn, once again so much passion oozing from you. And i have to say it mate this HQ would look good going down the 1000 m event at Temora, what do you say?
If the Nightrider had 502 cubic inches and a 6/71 Max wouldn't have been mad, just a bit pissed off for a day or two. HQ is stunning. 👌👌 But i'll still take a black XB. 😀
Trouble is in 20 years time you WILL be Mad Max in the middle of the desert guarding a tanker full of gas if our zero emission neighbours stick to their guns
These cars are so much better looking than the cars of today, car designers have run out of options, that is why we get shitty looking cars today, they all look the same.
These eps were produced for TV and the networks require music. For 2021 all content will be specifically produced for RUclips without the need for music, a more raw approach.

Ford guy - says - How good are these classics! Amazing work done with his car!
Real credit to the owner/ builder absolutely beautiful machine
I totally agree
Love an old Holden, but no doubt, GT Hardtop is the toughest of all Aussie muscle 👑
Theres is enough originality in the colour and trim. The engine is just what everyone changed and his is an ausome one.

That Monaro is a great looking car. I see a good bit of 1970-1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS styling in it, including the SS-style rally stripes.
