    My dad had one of less than 20 Manual 307’s as a company car . The company had a few manual 307’s in stock & made about 20 GTS’s out of them. I wonder if there are any left.

    • @Ragsytheriffer
      @Ragsytheriffer  5 месяцев назад

      Hi @beagle7622 , there are quit a few Manual 307s still out there , I know of a few locally, there were more than 20 manufactured back then, although most were Powerglide autos , they did run out of 327 engines at one point and continued making them with 307s........that's what I have read anyway :)

    • @beagle7622
      @beagle7622 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Ragsytheriffer That’s correct, the Automatic 307 was quite common but this car was basically a 327 with a slightly higher numerical differential ratio. There was a road test in one of the Melbourne papers which I kept for years. I do remember the brakes , they weren’t great.

    • @Ragsytheriffer
      @Ragsytheriffer  5 месяцев назад

      @@beagle7622 yes , they had the tramp rods that the 327 had , also the hard suspension , not sure about the fuel tank though..........lol yeah HK brakes have always been fun, they are fine as long as you dont have to do too much hard braking, but it all becomes fun when the fade sets in lol.

    • @beagle7622
      @beagle7622 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Ragsytheriffer I didn’t mention that but yes this car had the tramp rods. My father wondered what I was looking for when I checked for them. It had plenty of torque too, My father certainly did not want to change it over.
