- Pt 2 of the Dave Guilfoyle feature, with Ford and GM Holden Australian street car artillery that means business. This time we speak with Dave and Jodie about their automotive obsession! See an awesome HT Holden Monaro, XW Ford Falcon, early 60s Ford F Truck, Jodies 355 stroker VH Commodore and a very fast 400 + cube V8 Holden powered VL Calais.
At Master of Machines, we love cars, in fact, we love anything with wheels or an engine, from American Muscle Cars to Australian Muscle Cars, Race Cars and Classic Cars of all kinds and even Barn Finds. If it's fast, powerful, restored or hidden away in hibernation then we'll cover it, and in most cases, we'll even drive them!
Who ever thumbs down this video should hand in there car keys and buy a bus pass. Great stuff and great to see a family that enjoy horse power. Keep them coming bud.
Best video on RUclips, loved it.
Plus it's Australian 🇦🇺
Some beautiful cars right there!!👍👍
Dave you have some nice toys there! Love this channel Glenn, keep up the good work. Nothing beats a well tuned V8 👍🏻💪🏻
Loved that vn ss. Awesome episode 👍
I love comparing your unique Australian cars to our American models. Your HJ Kingswood could be easily confused with our 1971 Impala, especially from the front end. I bet the same GM team styled both cars. The rear of the HK reminds me of our early-70s Oldsmobiles, or perhaps the Monte Carlo. Shows there are only so many designs one company produces, even across oceans! And we also had a Kingswood, Chevy used the name on our Impala and Caprice station wagons from 1969 through 1972. Cheers, Bill H.
Also the impalas were 2 foot longer
@@randomdude4669 Everything in America was bigger. Gas was 29 cents a gallon back in 1971 , no one worried that their car got 6 mpg in the city..
@@gojoe2833 I'm just saying I don't think anyone would confuse an impala with a kingswood, over here atleast
You'll find a lot of gm stuff copies styling of other gm cars, you'd be surprised to know that a lot of gm stuff was redesigned opels lol
Ah look up Chevy opalla, the entire mid section to just before the tail lights is exactly the same as our hg hk ht monaro 🤣
They look sick n I want one 🤘🤷♂️
Mate, great channel. Love seeing people breathe new life into these old beauties.

Love the content keeps it up mate
Jody😍😍👍🏼
I googled 4 speed shift patterns in case of possible reverse gate pattern and realized you blokes are natural interceptors while we yanks run away with it. We start right hand on stick up and close then hard back and in close for the first chirp of flight. Then it's away and up for the speed range and finally back in and away for top end flight. So if I tossed a beer can at you on the side of the road you're lefty up and away followed by back and away for the chirp then you're up and now your stick is in close as you're catching me followed by the slam back and in next to you as you rip off my bumper. Seems more natural. Aw'right time for another cold one. Cheers!
I'd like to hear Dave give tips on where to actually start when wanting to do a resto or a build-up.
Its not hard 1st step is literally figure what u want to do to the car 2nd is strip it to a bare shell, bag n label everything that's reusable/restorable e.g. chrome trims etc. then make a list of everything u need/want in the car, 3. Get shell n chassis blasted or acid dipped, 4 fix all the rust u will inevitably find 🤣 and so on and so forth.
Way I see it the order u build a car is as follows 1 body n fab work, 2 paint n panel, 3 wiring 4 interior 5 engine n driveline 6 well there is no 6 👍🤣
@@5lcalais1 Cheers bud :-)
@@OlympusHeavyCavalry no worries 👍
That vl is an animal fkn awesome car
Was brought here by Nicholas Ringhof!
Mate I subbed more tuff aussie muscle please!!
$$$ top paint jobs too
Some kids have all the fun, while the rest of us dream and drule :-)
Wow this guy is living the dream those care are not only spectacular but there fast too . fats and skinnies 4 ever !!
Gotta say Dave awesome work
have to ask a question who does reverse cowls for a hq prefer steel
To my knowledge, Dave uses my friends Frazer and Shelle at Alfa Motorsport Fibreglass in Vic, not sure about steel variants though.
Love me some MOPAR !
like a trip back in car mod time....wait till they discover what a turbo can do
Fkn spot on guys
Australia should have protected its own motor industry as they used to. When imports were banned. South Africa had similar laws in the 70s. Kept people in work.
HJ's head restraints are missing......is that legal? It's a post 1971 model.
Yeah, was gonna say the same thing. Sweet car but head rests help with solid hp!
My fg Ute....xr6 turbo... could take a hellcat on ...separated by Australia vs america....
🤩✌
Are these cars worth more or less without original running gear? Does he have the original running gear for the cars somewhere?
Generally worth more in factory stock condition these days but the owners aren't worried about resale, more so having what they want in a car.
Doesn't really matter these days, I see modded ones and fully original ones for same/similar money
The old school Holden's got there power from the Ford they took the best parts from the best cars and that's true history dose not lie but they are both very much appreciated muscle cars
hopefully that wasn't a genuine bonnet he's done that too
U know the bonnet aren't stamped gts right? all hq bonnets are the same so 🤷♂️🤣
@@5lcalais1 no shit sherlock. i was talking about the ht monaro at the beggining. which have scoops moulded into the genuine
bonnet.
It's torture to able to see the cars but not hear them!
Did you not hear the cars that ran?
@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines The Monaro and VL only.
@@firststep7750 , you'll be happy to know that for all new content in around Feb 2021 you'll get to hear a lot more engine noise and start ups. This content you're seeing was developed for TV. Our new content will be specifically for RUclips, allowing more flexibility. We do take your feedback onboard, but the good news is that we're already onto it. We appreciate your support and the fact that you're passionate enough to tell us what you'd like to see. :-)
not a fan of the evo bonnets
Original speck pulls in the big money at the auction. Clearly these are bogan butcherisms
Why does it matter? Hes not going to sell it and he doesn't want a weak daggy looking car
If your priority is money, this isn't for you mate.
If your buying a car for it's monetary value then your buying it for the wrong reason 🤷♂️🤣 I prefer modified cars personally, the originals in most cases were terrible cars from the factory lol
Great show people 💯💯💯💪💪💪🤡🤡🤡 Les from Perth 👀👀👀
