I gained a whole new respect for what it takes to put a car like this together after watching your vid. Now I really love it!!! Can not wait to see her back on the road:)!! Thank you guys!
iv plumbed a few cars with these front ends now and the power steering fittings are an absoulte pain to work with ever on a stock sbc sump its tight, tighter again on ls sumps.. iv got away with it with banjos but were talking 5mm here, also there steering shaft angle is trash im glad youre fitting one because youll get to see all these things wouldnt hurt to put some brake line tabs on to! and someone tell me who the engineer is thats passing willwoods because we have 4 cars that need engineers and the calipers have 5x 1/8 npt fitting each and that thread is not adr and never has been
i would have liked those rear mounts added like original, 8 versus 6 bolts sounds better with big torque, also pretty sure downside is original chassis number has to be scraped, might have to double check that,
hi Depending on how u tubbed the car depends on how much its worth . A modified car worth the same amount as good stocker . Basically an un molested body is worth the most . But hey its your car . For drag use the 3/4..19mm discs are ok [these can crack under heavy use ] but for road /circuit u need at least 28/30/32mm thick by 298mm--320mm
@A. Melbs "But hey its your car "" [no question mark , looks like ? ] It was a statement saying its his car his final choice . Oh yea at 1.00min onwards tubbing is mentioned at MacDonald Bros . Suggest you read comments properly !
looks a bit light be interesting to know how it holds up if involved in a accident ??? another issue is the mounting no rubber mounts to absorb road noise i think you will find it a hard ride
@@A_lesson_in_Hate lol solid mounting will produce more road noise regardless of the huge motor lol also a harder ride know from experience when you do theses types of mods he says its going to be a road driven car this time no just drag race it
@@haulingass the sump looked to fit reasonable with the standard front end im building a 632 placing in a hz wagon , did you modify the area under the sump on the original front end , as i too have a very wide and low alloy sump
Barry has been working with us since 2018. If ya take a look at some older clips he pops up in them from time to time. Marc left to spend more time with his wife and Kids. He also needed a change so pursued another career.
Very doubtful. But since they sell it as "off shelf/ manufactured piece" would e easier than a scratch built 1 here.. I'd imagine they would won't it crack and stress tested over here still though. Then be part of chassis cert if passed.
Hey mate the Front clip is full adjustable for Radiator support. Up,down and back and forward so once the front is mounted you can the. Adjust for panel alignment. 👍
can't see where that front endis going to add value to the car as a collectors car , as it is now a restored car , I understand why u are fiddling with it , but it is now no longer a HQ MONARO really , it is a resto mod ,but it is your car to do with as u see fit enjoy it .
Really nice tubular sub frame
Barry hall you champion never new you were into this ? Like you even more now !👍
The factory chassis number is on the original front end. How to people get past the legalities of a tubular front end?

Whats the go with the chassis numbers, for rego
That's a sweet build brother thanks for the videos
I like the second pickup!!!
I don’t have a need for this, but I feel compelled to kick off this project 😅
I had to subscribe after seeing my dream car yellow 2 door Monaro
Great video mate, great watching how easy they come out!
Great work on first class Aussie classic
Tell ya, she's going to beautiful!!
Is there a noticeable weight saving fitting this front end?
😀 another great vid guys.

Barry such a legend 😇
Who is he, he looks familiar...
Absolutely love Big Bad Bazza as a footballer, this is next level and 100% legend. Who knew he was a fucking die hard petrol head
Bloody brilliant stuff
The rear mounting pick up was deleted on later models like HZ’s. Holden engineers must’ve determined it wasn’t needed.
Great video guys how much does this front end cost ??
Pro Street will be sweet nice and loud. I like to call show and go!!!
Should be a weapon when it’s done.
Everything you desire to is a weapon.
Did the owner start off saying he was taking it back to stock and then shoe us a whole tubular front subframe ?
was told you only supply kits and dont fit to customer cars is that true.
Please make a version of this subframe to fit a GM second gen f-body.

cool product , but are they engineerable, in all states
Good point. Cars arrive in SA with engineering certificates from interstate that don't comply here, so have to be engineered again.
Anyone do a trial and error count by Barry ?
Regardless great to see the build process

Road noise? He won't be hearing that with a 1000+HP big block running up front and it's got adjustable coilovers it will ride fine.

Where were you 30 years ago ? I would have loved that tube front end in my HQ.
Does Barry hall own rod shop?
I didn't see anyone measure to square up front end to rear end before tighting the front chassis bolts up.
I'm curious if the control arms and coilovers from the other kit, will fit these front clips
Sorry mate they don’t fit the clips.
is it a tall deck big block?
Tall deck 10.2

Need to make full chassis for Ute, van and tonners. I guess it would take a lot more to engineer though.
We have done one but hasn't been finished or Engineered as of yet. So time frame is unknown.

What about the chassis no?
see question below please.
What about just lowering the rack
You'll need panels fitted to figure out the shiming
