    You could literally pick any song of the Scorpions from the 80’s, they’re all fire! They didn’t miss, hit after hit. Very underrated band.

    This song is special to my wife and I . We had some problems early in our marriage but we worked them out . We will celebrate our 50th anniversary in August . Only love will get us through anything .

    The Scorpions are definitely one of the best, hard rock/metal bands from the 70s and 80s(and beyond)! This was a huge power ballad for them. Other songs I would recommend would be The Zoo, Big City Nights, Rock You Like a Hurricane. So many awesome songs by The Scorpions!

      Ah yes...The Zoo!...great track. I recently re-discovered the song 'Animal Magnetism'.. forgot how awesome it is. It has a really badass and kinda sexy vibe to it. I think the boys might enjoy that one.
      'Blackout' is pretty much a banger. Then you have the epic 'Sails Of Charon' which in my opinion isn't really for everyone. That's pretty much a Scorpions favorite for guitar players. Uli John Roth might have been the baddest player of the 70's. I still haven't been able to play the intro solo up to speed with zero sloppiness.

      @Aaaaaie I was at Wembley stadium for that concert. At the time I lived in a small town called Bexhill on sea on the southeast coast of England. Me and my friend went to London to see Guns N’ Roses and Skid Row. The basketball talk shit about the mayor of London that day. But they recorded a live version of living that guy that died.

      I saw them live on the Rock You Like A Hurricane tour. Definitely one of the greatest bands! Thank goodness for these videos. You can hardly find a radio station in my area that plays what I loved back then.

      Another white grandma fan club member here!
      This was one of the best metal power love song ballads of my youth.
      And while the wall in this song is just around his girl's heart, this German band did a song about the tearing down of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and includes footage in the video.

    Time favorite song above all other songs ever. I grew up listening to the Scorpions. My dad loved rock music and this is what we listened to, now that I’m grown and my dads gone I listen to this to remind me of him and my life when I was younger, I’m only 38 but how much I love this song.

    The song was written in the early 80's by the German band, the Scorpions as a tribute to USSR. But then when the Berlin wall was taken down in 1989 the song took on a new meaning.

    Scorpions was the very first band I saw live at a large concert venue when they were the opening act for AC/DC & headliner Ted Nugent at the late Spectrum in Philadelphia, July 1980, row 2 center stage. I'll never forget that night...still have the ticket stub (somewhere)...😎

    Scorpions are German band, and “only love can break down the wall someday” is a reference to a Berlin wall that devided East and West Germany.

      Actually in this case "the wall" is a little more personal, "Your pride has built a wall so strong that I can't get through", the wall is around your heart

      Yup, this song dropped in 1984, and they (and all of us) saw the wall fall in 89. This song is on the Love At First Sting album. A fantastic album. If i remember correctly there's not a bad song on it. Klaus' vocals pretty much unmatched for pure talent, with very few exceptions. The guy must be an alien, i swear.
      This band produced a lot of good music.

    Scorpions are an awesome band, seen them twice when they were in their prime back in the 80’s. Seen the Blackout Tour and the Animal Magnetism tour! They were excellent! One of my Top 5 favorites, thanks for sharing!

    The Zoo is a banger. Live in Berlin or any live video of that song is a must see from the Scorpions! I wouldn't recommend too many live songs for a first-time hearing but that is one you want to hear and see their performance.

    In the 80s...this was THE song that got you back together with someone! The Scorpions are my favorite band, ever. Even my grandgirls, when I say, "who is LaLa's favorite band?" They say, in unison, "The Scorpions"!!! They know their LaLa so well! Haha! I hope you do a ton more from this band. You'll love it. Also, I REALLY appreciate how all of you truly give music that may not be your "go to" a chance. I gotta admit I may not be as open as you all are! I'm easy 3 or 4 times your age (53), and you are teaching me a thing or two! Great channel, I've followed y'all for quite a while, and love it all!

    Listened to this song hundreds of times and it still gives me chills. Second guy from the left in the black tee felt the heck out of that song.     You should follow this up with Dire Straits and their song, Sultans of Swing. MAKE SURE it’s the ALCHEMY LIVE performance. It HAS TO BE ALCHEMY LIVE. The guitar solo is incredible and the drumming is crazy!! You guys would LOVE this!! Trust me. Please do it. You won’t be sorry. Thank you!

    This was totally from my era. Love t his song! Back in the day, I loved their heavier songs, but when I listen to this now I appreciate it so much more. That is dang hard to sing!
