Deep Purple (Mk II).......Singer is Ian Gillan; interestingly enough, he did the original recording of Gethsemane for Jesus Christ Superstar musical. He is considered one of the greatest vocalists in the history of rock. There is a double live album Made in Japan, recorded in the early 1970s, listen to it. They were considered by many (especially musicians) to be the best live band of the 1970s. For this line up The two best studio albums are Deep Purple in Rock and then Machine Head....This song is actually about the fear of Nuclear War recorded during Cold War between USA and USSR

Jon Lord-Organ, Richie Blackmore-Guitar, Ian Gillan-Vocals, Roger Glover-Bass and Ian Paice-Drums, THE Mark II version of Deep Purple, and in most peoples opinion the best version. They have never disappointed me and are rated as one of the greatest rock bands ever to grace a stage. They were so versatile and incredibly talented musicians. Truly one of the very best rock bands ever, although somewhat in Led Zeppelin's shadow for much of their career, but they still held their own with their distinctive style, especially Ian Gillan on vocals and Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar. Formed in 1968. At one time in the Guinness Book of Records as the Worlds Loudest Band. Ritchie Blackmore, Lead Guitar, Jon Lord Keyboardist and Ian Paice are amongst the worlds best RIP Jon Lord. Try the track Burn from the album of the same name.

I just realized you haven’t heard The Doors yet. Now there’s a lot to choose from Love Me Two Times, Break On Through, Roadhouses Blues, The End… could go on forever with this list. The Doors definitely deserve some play time. Jim Morrison has an iconic voice ❤❤❤

Me and my friends would sit around in our basements or bedrooms, smoking weed and jamming to Deep Purple. we were the real "That 70s sho.... hahaha They were incredible to see live. Next time try their hit "Smoke on the water"... that'll really blow your mind. ruclips.net/video/F7ZF2xaNhyw/видео.html

Suggestion for ya'll to hear Jeff Beck play guitar. The song is "People Get Ready" with Rod Stewart singing. Beck is considered one of the top 10 best guitar players in the world, played last in band with Johnny Depp, and passed away in January of this year (2023). I would call the performance a duet, only Stewart sings his part but Beck's guitar sings the other part. I'm positive y'all would enjoy it. (If you've reacted to it already I didn't find the video.)

Great reaction and this was anti-war song !! Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath (all GB) had a huge influence on american "heavy rock" scene back in the late -60`s, early -70`s and later on. Then come "glam rock"; one of the pioneers was Hanoi Rocks from Finland based 1979. Then come Guns & Roses and Bon Jovi ;-)

Ian Gillan, lead singer, said he wrote this as an f you to the President's and ministers sitting in their ivory towers, sending innocent men out to war while they are safe. Hence, the bow your head wait for the ricochet so that the soldiers didn't die. Brilliant song so glad you appreciate great music.
