It's great to see Adobe is getting back on track with development on Premiere.
Wish lists for professionals:
- Automatic Cut detection (when client's don't send edl's with their offline cuts)
- More support and tools for frame based workflows
- A python API
- Batch export options with naming and filesytem structures in mind (see Hiero/NukeStudio)
- Proper Color Management / Colorspace support (ACES etc)
- STOP PUSHING AUTOMATIC UPDATES... we work on projects that can span a year or two.. We don't tend to update software for such project to make sure our pipelines don't break mid production..
But how many crashes ?

So the machines can’t win because if they kill the “savior” character, someone else just takes that role. The Humans can’t win because they destroy Skynet and something else just takes its place. This should be called “Terminator: Circle Jerk, The Movie”.

So much talkings and trust and believe in this continues.Hoping that this film will be a truly best after Terminator 2.Not on a sound but on a real results.
Apparently they are using Macs. But which Macs? Tim Miller and his crew burnt 6 Trashcan Mac Pros while rendering out "Deadpool" from Premiere, because of the famous GPU failure "Thermal Corner" Disaster. So, they did not use Trashcans. Asnd they clearly did not use iMacs. Mac Minis? Probably not, since they wouldnt be able to carry that kind of load. On Wikipedia it says, that Cameron saw a rough cut of the movie in early 2019. So it probably wasn't preproduction 2019 Mac Pros either. That leaves us with: Either cheesegraters or Hackintoshs. I assume Hacks.
The only Terminators that exist to me are 1, 2, and Salvation.

@@jetnology1758 Damn bro, I just don't like to see kids being shot 5 minutes into my movies. Im also not into recaps, which is exactly what Dark Fate was, Linda Hamilton is great, the actress who played Grace was also good for her part. Dani was a useless character who did nothing all movie, and the "deadliest terminator to ever exist" didn't do shit and wasn't threatening either.
Please don't use female leads as ammunition to call out anyone you want. I enjoyed Salvation because it attempted something different, and I don't mean the gender or race of the main character. Take a seat, the movie was terrible and the 9 digit loss backs that up.

I know, the studio makes millions and the guy who created the model got a lousy $2 can't even afford a bag of pop corn in the cinema.

How much CGI did T2 have? The T-1000 of course but outside of that, how much? Cameron used rear projection which gave it a real feel. I know it’s 2019 but maybe focusing on more realistic situations, relying less on computer graphics might be a better move. Less is more imo.
He used rear projection because blue screen compositing wasn’t that great at that time .rear projection didn’t have issue the with black matt lines but you can still spot it if the contrast is different.
Daniel Taylor My hopes were set way too high. I miss the feel of the older movies shot on film relying less on cgi :(
wayne goodger its kinda like music equipment right, there’s new technology to make things easier and sound clearer, but sometimes limitations can spawn creative ways to get what you’re looking for vs finding the easy route. I don’t know, I just set the bar too high in my head.

i have tried talking to just about evryone and alls they keep saying is the contest is over. I have followed the guidlines set by the contest to the letter. When i ent to submit my entry(BEFORE) the contest had ended,it put me on an infinite loading screen and would not let me submit and now, after working for over a week on my trailer emix i am not able to submit my entry which has agitated me quite a bit what can be done and who can i contact because the sponsor has the rights to take my entry and it seems unfair not to if they host the contest then when their website didnt work my entry gets discarded.

So maybe someone should clarify that what's shown here are very basic previz work and that noone in the industry would ever try to composite plates from Alexas, Reds and Gopros, etc, mixed with decades old studio stock assets and outputs from 3 different renderers in an app like After Effects that has no proper camera tracking, lacking any premultiplication control and have awful color handling?

I started my carreer with After Effects but honestly, no-one should want to attempt a complex VFX shot with After Effects. Layer Based workflows are not efficient or usefull for such things.
It's great at motion graphics and I'm sure it does well for a simple pre-viz/postviz shot with a few layers mashed together. But so does Nuke... And at least in that I can take them twemp work to final easily. Not to mention Nuke can very easily be integrated into a Pipeline using python.
Adobe's apps are horrific to automate, no industry standard python interface/api is definitely lacking...
