K03's can make that sound with a simple intake. Mine does it distincly with a highflow airfilter with stock intake! How many miles did you have on your B8 with the k04?
I have a manual a5 and it definitely makes a difference, especially in racing

IMO.... newer electric throttle cars are borderline undriveable with out a pedal booster.
Do you have to enable it each time after starting the car or will it automatically remember the last setting?

Does it help your gas mileage in eco? Do you see a difference?
I believe it will help. It seems to restrict acceleration when in eco mode. So if you really want to take it easy on the gas, it should help.

Does it make a difference after both the engine and transmission have a tune ?
Ive experienced it only while having my tune , but it did wake the car up a whole lot

All this and products similar does is make the pedal response faster so what it does is work within whatever the car has and doesn't harm anything
Does it have to stay plugged in? Can you just pick a setting and unplug it?
I havent tried that yet but i think you have to keep it plugged in

No extra hp added just removes the lag from when you first hit the gas pedal. Your acceleration will be a lot quicker.
It’s just quicker response time no go just when you hit the pedal it reacts faster
