We’re Ladi (from Czechia) & Margaret (from USA) and we’re a location independent couple of 5 years (aka, van life super-fans), currently spending 2020/2021 in eastern Czech Republic due to the pandemic. This channel is centered around our favorite things: eBikes, campervans, and cats (mostly Millie, lol) Our world has definitely changed a lot since Covid-19 impacted our fulltime travel plans, but we hope to soon be back on the road with our awesome eBikes and little Millie Kua Maha, who is quite the traveler herself, and probably the most popular one in our little trio. The garage is finding a better use more quickly than we expected!! We're hoping this car will bring us on a few smaller trips and experiences this summer while the van is underway! "It's such a tiny car." You Americans. You don't know tiny until you drove my Opel Agila with a small 1.2-liter engine from the Netherlands through the Alps to France. Or even worse, friends of mine who did a whole road trip from the Netherlands to and through Poland in an old beaten-up Mini.
An Audi, literally ANY Audi, is NOT a tiny car, and I will die fighting on this hill. 😂

I'm just trying to make a point towards "the Americans" that you don't need to fit 20 suitcases, 4 bikes and the entire population of Moldova in the backseat for a car to be qualified as "regular size" 😂. That being said, personally I'd say an A1 is medium sized.)
@@ioney_at I would say the A1 is a small car, not tiny. But for an American it will surely be tiny; they label the Q7 as a medium size SUV 😂
I love how Ladi unbrands things, to have the object in its purity, it's enough just in itself. Great sense of esthetics !
I love it. I can respect the ascetics of an object and be completely turned off by the logos.
I've got great grandparents that came from Chechia WAAY back in 1910s.... I can legitimately feel the family connection watching Ladi work. My dad is no where as talented as him, but just as creative with design and use of any and all materials.
Sorry but I have to be the "odd man out" on this - I don't like the look of the car all blacked out. Just my taste, and it doesn't take away from the incredible job Ladi did to make it what you both want. Ladi's creativity and talent never cease to amaze me.

Loved the cat ladder to her blanket spot. Once you have the flat above the garage you’ll have to install one on the outside too, to let Millie in and out through a window.

hehe some small part of me is always like "now that automatics exist why are we globally still making manuals?" It was later in my life that I understood they are what almost everyone except the usa drives lol
@@ladiandmargaret It's weird how these things depend on where you grow up.. like how as a child it was completely normal to me to put sprinkles on a slice of bread and when I got older I realised the rest of the world doesn't do that haha. I always think it's fun to discover my own weirdnesses (is that a word?) though, it challenges my perspective and makes me want to explore different cultures/places :)
@@ladiandmargaret even as a Canadian I preferred manual by a large degree, until I broke my left knee cap. Now I sadly have delegated myself to this exact A5 S-line with the 8-speed auto

I drove a stick for many years and loved it. Better control in snow and rain. But they're not making many any more and for the past few years it's been an automatic. I can live with either, but I need wheels to go when I want, where I want. I wanted to learn how to drive a stick when I was young so I would never be stranded because I didn't know how to drive one. I've missed you guys, thanks for bringing us back into your lives. I think where you live is so beautiful. I love the small village feel.

Nice job Ladi & Margaret you make it your onw Car. It looks good but,....I don't know if you will make trips to the Netherlands and I think Germany to, but keep in mind that if the Policeman has a "not so nice day" he can and will give you a ticket for tinting your Driver and passenger window, to dark (what I can see on my Laptop), and the 2e ticket for changing your reflector - capacity of reflection - of you'r backlight. It is all a safety item and by law (Netherlands) you ar not allowed to change that. Expensif ticket (safety) and not allowed to drive before you (have) take it off. And - in a bad situation - the insurance comp can make problems to becorse that safety item has no longer a aproved EU qualification. Take care you two, I love your videos , O yes and your electric bikes, they ar super.
In Czechia, you aren´t allowed to tint anything, unless you give it to professionals and have certificate, but everyone doesnt care because its pretty expensive.

I love the design vision combined with practical skills to bring them to life. Like most Uber talented people you run the risk of developing Barracuda mouth and hummingbird tail. Don’t bite off more than you can chew or you will have terminal constipation with too many projects competing for your time. Focus!

That's a pretty clever designed trailer for beekeeping. Looks bear resistant and easy to move for small pollination jobs.

Not sure if you guys done it yet (or still have the car), but a massive improvement to your A5 would be a ceramic coating. Dirt and dust is super visible on a jet black car, and considering your shots at 19:10 - your car got nasty filthy just by leaving the place you were living at
Make sure to enable in diagnostics lights on right after start, even on the "off" position on the switch. Every time I drive (or ride a bike) from my home I have to turn onto main street where cars are parked on side of the street and you can properly see if anything's coming only in a mirror. And in a mirror a stealth car with lights off (it's illegal, but happens) or even the "invisible" day lights is nearly unrecognizable from the standing ones. Standard lights even in day time especially on such black stealth cars help other drivers more than you realize.

You usually do awesome things, but this time I not a fan of that car change. It's very well done, but that car is beautiful right from the fabric.I think there is no need to remove the chromes and logos or paint the rims. But... that's just a matter of taste. About the cabin filter... you should have kept it away from your breath chanels. It releases very very small particles of dust that you don't need to have inside your lungs. Keep your cools buildings, go ahead!
A Blacked out Audi isn't my taste.... but Ladi & Margaret are... you guys rock and love your content... from here in the UK
The car looks amazing, only issue will be the wheels...seen so many like look bad because they chip. Only way is to powder coat them
I’m ok pressure water them off if needed, I would not waste my time on taking the wheels off and doing it properly.

Next month we will be heading up to the Tsjech republic with 10 people, 2 baby's, 2 dogs, 4 campervans, two cars and two tents to finally start exploring again after a long time. We travel from the Netherlands across Germany to Tsjech republic. We would like to stay a bit away from the crowds and overnight as much as possible in the wild nature. My question to all the German and Tsjech viewers, do you guys have any tips for must sees, perfect spots or places to stay for a night?

Ok i spoke to soon. I didn't realize you guys were using plasti dip paint. Disregard my first post. Plasti dip does peel off. I used it on my grill on my BMW.

Yay love that! We both ride a lot but usually I’m filming Ladi as the behind-the-scenes person. I wanna get better at filming my own scenes and such with the bikes, they are such awesome toys/tools
Great teamwork as always guys. I’m with ya on keeping busy with projects, it’s therapeutic to always be tinkering on something. I’m almost always modding and upgrading something on my ebike the #HellbirdBanditBike. This weeks project was redoing the wiring to a new step down converter for all the accessories plugged into it. Stepped it up to 14g wires and used xt60’s.

Be careful with those tinted rear lights, in many EU-Countrys (I think all) you can get a fine for driving with tinted lights.

I think Audi looks better when it's black with chrome accents imo but this isn't my car. Still looks great either way!
Why didn't you remove the wheels for painting? Guaranteed that there is overspray on the car. You will need to do some polishing with compound to remove it.

Agree 100%, painting the wheels while they're still on the car is asking for trouble.
Taking the wheels off would not be worth the time. There is no off spray, don’t worry :)

In Belgium it s not legal to paint or put foil (or black panty's or whatever) over the tail lights. Did it myself when I was young because of looks cooler

@@kristinahaandid that also on my vw golf2 and never had any problems or complaints. When you buy a new car you can ask the garage a car without logo's on the back and they remove them for you.

IMHO, before was better. You freaking skilled with your hands, but It will be harder to sell after all modifications rather than stock audi a6 car. First what I see when car not in stock - car after accident.
That’s why I kept the original mask, all the logos and foils are easily removable. I have a youtube video demonstrating the process and how it looked before.
