2023 and it still sounds better then ever!!!
My wife pointed out to me that this really is a Snow White song. I hadn't realized that it's the song she sings by the well. Now it all comes back around full circle.

And here I am, years later, realizing the same after watching the movie yesterday.

The early 2010s dark synth pop sound has got to be my favorite of all time. Such much incredible music came out of that scene. This is such an intoxicating example of what makes it good.
Besides the obvious Crystal Castles and Purity Ring, got any recommendations?
Phantogram and Grimes fit the bill the closest. Sylvan Esso’s debut is adjacent, as is some stuff on Lorde’s debut (tennis court is really just a poppier purity ring song imo). Some CHVRCHES, Science/Visions particularly. And I will rep PR’s Shrines until I die, my favorite album ever.
@sp52pi thanks! I loved Grimes and Chvrches back then but definitely missed out on Phantogram all these years. I like a handful of Sylvan Esso songs but need to dig further. Agreed on PR - Shrines was so ahead of its time.

Hearing this again after so many years makes me both happy and sad. It seems like music was so much dreamy-er from 2007-2013-ish.. There's great music out now but one can easily spend eternally-seeming evenings and not find anything great as something like this wonderful Labyrinth Ear gem. Sorry for people that only found this because of a TV show and not a great old blog with similar other earthly delights. Much love Labyrinth Ear. Hugs and miss you to bits/sorely .

True but that style of dancing is used by all sorts of people. He reminded me of some people I used to be friends with who were break dancers. They could move across the ground like water. It was trippy.

The best part about this video is the clown/ghost just straight gigging.
It's crazy that the ghost's dance moves are nearly a century old; this Snow White animation was released in 1933.
So that was just amazing...

Obviously anyone can use it and it doesn't matter. I just think its awesome that they are most likely old cartoon fans as well, since most people didnt know about this until it blew up due to top 40 artists...
I only know about It because I was raised by meine Oma and Opa who were born in the 20s and 30s...Meine Opa was a Cartoonist and a professional cake decorator, and a WWII veteran. So this gorgeous song paired with this nostalgia video has brought me joy for 10 years.

They MIGHT be old cartoon fans, but given the fact that it is soundcloud/mumble rappers, the chance is HIGH that they are doing it/did it for clout. I think only a few of those are legitimately into cartoons of the old, very few though.

I just wish this song would happen to me. I was looking for this song since yesterday.
I love smoking weed I'm a stoner. But when I'm sad I dont always smoke, especially when I'm angry I dont smoke. When I having a break down or sad weed sometimes helps itll make me feel okay an look at the situation more clearly an even more so from other peoples point of views while also looking st myself. Sometimes I will slightly forget why I'm crying but I can work back my memory if I choose to remember why I'm crying. Unlike when I'm having a fully bawling my eyes out then my mind goes blank within seconds on ever detail I was analyzing in my mind an everything I was upset about but I still have all those emotions to those feeling injustice cant remember why an what they were. An when I dont break down an cry even more from not remembering. I'll smoke weed an be like it's okay i cant remember why I was crying it was for the better.
