Wheres your shop located at? I have a problem on my x5 and I have this limp mode that I cannot understand, hopefully you can help me out. Is there anyway to get rid of the limp mode lights? The engine does runs good, no hesitation except when I slow down and stop that I feel this sudden bump or jerk. Transmission oil just recently change coz I was thinking was kinda low but the problem still persist...thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a code P2402 on my 2011 BMW 328xi which i think means my leak detection pump has a short, before I change it,,,would you know if there is a fuse associated with it?

OBD Code P2402 - Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High. The evaporative emission system is designed to prevent the escape of fuel vapors from the fuel system. ... OBD code P2402 means Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High.
Means the DME sees power sitting there which should have been used up.
Carefully replace the pump, Keep in mind you were dealing with fuel vapors which are combustible, this is an extremely dangerous job because of that, exercise extreme caution or take it to a trained professional.
Lightly lubricate the O-rings and the ports. Easy installation, less breaking stuff, less possibilities of post job leaks/codes and frustration, trust.
once you or a trained professional replaces the pump, clear the codes, and the adaptives.
Never a bad idea to charge the battery while its in the shop either.
      Good luck 👍🏽
      Follow up when completed ✅

@@MechaniclifeJDM Thank you, but would you know if there is a fuse associated with this part? and is what you are saying is that the power is getting to the pump?

I believe the pump is open circuit
The dme is seeing power sitting there at the output for this pump which is supposed to have been used up by the leak detection pump.
