I'm starting to love this woman.
I have a large bedroom in my home that houses four PCs, an iMac, a large amateur radio setup, scanner, printer. etc. It never would have occurred to me to do a space ship interior theme, but seeing this makes it seem like a logical option. Thanks for the massive inspiration.

The lit buttons make such a difference at night! I think my favorite DIY is actually the black paint designs. They just make that corner look so much "edgier" than a normal, boxy room. That skinny, long line was especially neat.
This isn't my aesthetic in any way, but I also think about room design based on imagined characters. I typically describe the process as being "like set design," b/c i want a character and story to be understood immediately when you see the room, which is what set designers have to do.
Genius, inspired, I loved it all, the beginning sequence ….. so soothing.
I can picture many childrens rooms being hugely inspired by your creative and sensible method of changing a boring square into a fantasy come true. So so joyful. Thank you for this. Immediately shared with family

Awesome vid! One tip on painting styrofoam in the future, you can use a mix of acrylic paint, PVA(School)glue and flour to create a kinda paint paste. It'll help get rid of the foam look and flatten it out. We use it a lot in the miniature painting world.
Oh, that is such a smart and budget friendly idea! I did consider plasti dip but decided not to. Have you ever used that before on plastic?
@@justlanchen I haven't used it on plastic, but I'd assume it'd work. It might leave a bit more texture on plastic than regular paint.

This is the first time I've ever seen any of your videos. I'm considering redoing my office and this is what I found. I loudly started cheering for you when you lit up the acrylic star map. I had no clue you could just use a chalk marker for it. I thought you had to etch it. Great job! 🎉

I've been coming back over and over for the Dark Academia, but I DO remember you did some NASA punk/lunar core styling before and also remember the space painting being mentioned before.
I get the contrast though, my focus/work music isn't always sad piano with rain background, sometimes some synthwave slips in too.
Oh yes! I did share that. Yea you get it! Life is too short to not expand your interests. I used to think it was a problem but starting this channel is actually what changed my mind about being able to love more than one thing

This is absolutely amazing I love it SO much. The only thing I would suggest is to add lighting to the plants just cause in space the plants would need artificial lighting…and it’d look cool lol. Seriously though, great job!

As to decorating with a character in mind, ME TOO! I did a Harry Potter Common Room theme in my bedroom with what I had and I plan to expand on it in my next apartment. I wanted a more adult version and I didn't what it screaming Harry Potter. I wanted Dark Academia Hogwarts, but my space is limited so a little imagination and it looks great, but I am not done and hope to move soon so I am taking this idea and adding to it. I love Dark Academia so I want to add more items to the room to give it an academic feel. You did a great job and you thought out of the box.

Ok so right off the top, absolutely stunning. Growing up in Florida, of course I have always been a NASA / Disney kid. So I loved your inspiration. I think someone else kinda covered the effect on the styrofoam I was thinking of. Otherwise the "only" thing I think I would have done different is the space window. I probably would have turned the styrofoam piece around to make it look like you see a bit deeper out into space. Otherwise absolutely spot on. I do like that you used artificial plants, they save so much hassle. RUclips put your Ren Faire elf cosplay outfit purchasing on my list, and after watching that I watched this one. Now I'm hooked. New subscriber for sure. Thanks for the awesome content.
I’m also a nasa and Disney kid to the max. I’m from Florida as well :) I did try out flipping the foam (not on camera) but it ended up looking weird I swear 😂 I’ll figure out a way to make it better looking in the future.
