Thank you so much for this vid...Just bought used Taurus Millennium and it hadn't been cleaned in a long time & I had never disassembled this particular model. Thanks to you,it's cleaned and lubed and ready for the range tomorrow...You should really make more vids...You are very descriptive, informative, and easy to understand !

great video, just anyone watching this...when you pull the stainless steel slide off, be careful your palm is not in the way of the slide as it is very sharp when you are pulling it off.
Excellent presentation. Pulled mine out of mothballs - .45 makes more sense again, and had forgotten how to take it down.

I bought my pt 145 mill pro around 8 yrs ago, I've never fired it yet and it's 2019, not even at the range, I just watched this video & followed you step by step and lubed the rail because it was hard to pull the slide back, after disassembling it, putting lube on the slide rails, cleaning the firing pin area & re-assembling it, the slide moves more freely. I got to get me a bore snake. Thanks for the simple step by step instructions.
Thanks for the video. My PT145 was in storage for over 5 years while I was overseas and I had disassembled it for safety reasons and put the metal parts in a bag with oil. That worked great except for the fact that I couldn't remember how to reassemble it until I found your video. Duh!

Awesome video My Gen1 PT-145 is the only gun i carry.Besides a few "reload" practice rounds that crapped out i have had 0 problems.

FYI if can jus rack it back hit the slide stop up flip the takedown lever downward and when you hit the slide stop down the takedown pin should pop half way out

Great video, but for the record Hoppe's no9 is polymer safe. Ask them or look it up online. If it was harmful, my S&W would be gone by now :)

I really appreciate the video! one question though...Do you do a lot of dry firing without snap caps with this pistol or just while you're cleaning? I just picked one up and the manual, taurus website, and forums all seem to contradict one another.
Good heads up on that polymer tip to be honest I did not know, I am not worried about rough. 2 questions though. 1st Do you still own this gun? 2nd have you had any issues with it? thanks and good video still

NOTE: You should discontinue the use of petrochemical-based cleaners and lubricants since they negate the optimal effects of a FrogLube-treated weapon.
Will FrogLube remove petroleum products, oils and grease?
Yes. FrogLube dissolves carbon and petro-chemicals on contact. You should discontinue use of petroleum or other petrochemicals as it will conflict with the optimal performance of FrogLube.

hey man get u a lil container of stanless steel wipes i used every cleaner down to a $50 lil 6 oz bottle of cleaner and it wld not work to get gunk and build up grime off the stanless rail top it was just nasty that alchohol wldnt even work but those wipes shoot i barley even rubbed it and omg it looks brand spankin new also take a lil pc o sand paper inside the rail lines just run that sand paper down those groves that the rail slides on just bump the edge off and make sure she dry put her bck together and i promise u u will bot ever use any other cleaner i was amazed
oh just so no one thinks alcohol will rust or hurt it no it drys with in 10 seconds thats y i use alcohol pads on my toys
Not very good! You didn't take the springs apart or show which way the springs go.
