This was the first video I clicked on to clean my SCCY CPX-2. With a couple of pauses, I was able to do so successfully. Great job explaining the steps clearly
Thank you so much for being thorough with this. This was the first time I've ever cleaned a gun in my life, and it was so easy to follow. Thank you so much!
I have a cpx-1. This is the simplest pistol I have very owned. Easy to take down, no tools if you have a strong fingernail to pull the takedown pin. I think it is the best budget pistol around. I have owned mine for over three years.
For such a cheap gun these things are awesome. They eat any ammo you feed them happily and never jam. Im a fat guy and its my everyday carry because it fits nicely in my pocket and its RELIABLE. Goes bang everytime. Only complaint is it needs a safety. Great video by the way. Very thorough. Had mine for a couple years now and finally doing a completecleaning of it for the first time
I've had my sccy about 2 yrs.. had mag issues at first and the feed ramp had to be polished .. after that its been smooth sailing.. no jams.. no feed issues... its my EDC and I do give it a monthly cleaning … or when I get home from the range. good EDC gun and it will go bang when I need t too.. keeping it clean keeps things running... good video.. keep up the good work.
A friend asked me to help her clean her firearm....we turned to this video to learn how to best clean her 9mm.....a superb instructor......easy to follow and very instructive....We will be following these directions ....learning how to best clean the 9mm..thank you for putting the video out here ...really appreciated....
Just received my Sccy 2 in the mail ! I went to the gun store to check it and fill out the paper work. Who ever cleaned it before shipping did a great job. Clean as a whistle
I have this gun and I've only used it once at the range but it kept jamming, so they said to lube it really good. You instructions were simple and easy. Made my first time cleaning my handgun easy!! Thank you!
Thanks single mom got mine shot 3 times and the thing doesn’t get stuck when the clip is out when I try to cock it back so I think cleaning will help but it gets stuck when clip is in soooo thanks it really helped me I had no idea how to clean it or take it apart your the best I have no family no friends no father for my daughter so I have to learn as I go on my own in Georgia so this is a life saver for us I appreciate you
Really nice, thorough run-through on how to clean this sweet little handgun. My 1st gun ever...only 100+ rounds shot last week with a trainer and not been cleaned yet. So will get the solvent/cleaner and tools and get on it. Seriously, well done!
Thanks for this. Simple and straight forward. Much more detail than the booklet that it came with. 35 pages, had a lot of words, but it really didn't say much. Also, the music was nice. 😊
The small $1 nylon and brass brushes from Harbor Freight work great for this. I also bought a big bag of durable cotton swabs on bamboo sticks at Harbor Freight for getting into the tight spots. I use Lucasoil CLP for just about all my guns. I love shooting SCCY pistols. I own several more pistols that cost me a lot more, but I measure the quality of a gun in it's performance and reliability, not what I paid for it.
This was very helpful for guiding my husband through his first cleaning, & mine as well! Thanks for taking the time to show us the ropes! I do have a question, is it okay to fire this gun directly after it has been cleaned & lubricated?
Great video!👍🏻👍🏻 Very helpful, informative, and educational. Thank you!! This is my first gun (CPX-1 ~ 9mm), and it's the first time breaking it down to clean it. My gun came with Remington Rem Oil with Teflon Lubricant. Is this pretty good, or should I get something like what you used?
Was really concerned breaking down my Gen 1. Followed every step. A little nervous since this is my only backup piece I've ever owned. Put it back together...racked it. And i was surprised nothing fell apart. It's ready. But can you believe I was intimidated at all, and I even went to a Police Academy in my hometown. Me huh. Geez.
What is your favorite ammo for this gun how much grain also do u like HP or FMJ for this what u recommend nice vid I just bought this for a back up and tester for my mother to take to range thanks nice vid
After cleaning, the pistol continued to have feeding issues so I contacted Sccy and they are sending me a new recoil rod and spring and 2 new magazines. They seemed aware of the issue and explained it to me better than I could. If you’re having feed issues they are more than willing to help.
@@dewaynejay1032 I took a look on their website, they are releasing a new handgun. The DVG 1RD. It's a striker fired 9mm with a 5.5 trigger pull weight and a crimson red dot.
You should probably try cleaning the gun before shooting it if you buy it factory new. The oil they use in the factory is good at keeping the metal fresh and all, but it also collects dirt really well. Dirt such as gunpowder. I never really considered this problem on pistols until I shot this one. It jammed quite a bit the first time using it.
Sorry for commenting on your video, but I noticed you're using a TekMat as your gun cleaning mat. I work for the company TekMat and I was wondering what you thought of them.

It really eats just about anything, but I tend to run Fiocchi 115gr because it's almost always on sale for 17 cents per round at PSA. Here's the link -bit.ly/2IbM2sn
Thanks for the video, bought a sccy cpx-2 couple weeks ago shot it for the first time this weekend camping, so home today and cleaned it for the first time. Pretty straight forward video!
These guns are junk. I bought one years back (partly because it was made in USA and had a "lifetime warranty". So, I shot a few rounds through it and it was stove-piping with every round. So I called them and they quickly sent me a new barrel (I was impressed with the warranty at this point and was happy, even though I didn't know how the barrel could cause this issue)....I installed the new barrel and went to shoot it again. Same thing happened exactly. I called and they made excuses and were basically like 'good luck'. I haven't shot it since and its basically useless (except as a paperweight) since I can't trust it....especially with my life. Maybe they've improved it, but I've read a LOT of other people with the exact problem.
cleaning patches are expencive. a pack of cosmedic cleaning patches are cheap and works very good. they are 100% cotton. these patches can be bought anywhere make up is sold😉
With the trigger pull on the sccy cpx imo it really does not need it. But then again I have carried for 30 years an have never used the safety on any of mine just watch what your doing but again that is just my opinion

EXCELLENT video! Cleaned my SCCY CPX-2 with ease. Thank you!
Oddly I have the same patterned gun mine is purple and pink. This video helped me I was doing this the hard way. I appreciate this so much.

Thank you. First time cleaner of weapons and I didn’t know how to pull it apart and which parts to oil.
Thanks for the video. Just bought mine today (locally).

Great video for my first gun cleaning. Thanks so much!
Thanks a bunch. Just bought my first Sccy and really looking forward to using it.
I just bought Sccy cpx 2 9mm. It’s not my first gun but is my first Sccy dig the video

Or a 45ACP.

Really appreciate you sharing this..great instruction! Thanks again!
Thanks, good info on what is needed and what is not and how to assemble and disassemble.
Thanks a bunch, had a jam and wasn’t sure why. Hopefully this took care of it

Thank you so very much for the info but I have a question what do you suggest that I can add on to my sccy cpx,2 9mm
Will a nominal size ultrasonic cleaning work??? I have this exact model. However never fired it yet.
Bro thanks so much for this video! I have the same gun cpx2 but my slider is black which the gun is white
I wanted that one but chose to go with all black instead.
@@divinelyfeminine2612 yes there really great guns I'm thinking about buying me another one in a different color this time.

Excellent cleaning video! Well done! :)
When I put my barrel and spring back together the barrel is not fitting properly?
Very in depth, thank you and my SCCY thanks you. =)

Very good lesson. Thank you!

It’s been solid. I’ve used the same Beretta 92fs one for about 8 years.

That is the first time I've heard it pronounced. People always just say the letters. Thank you.
Best ammo to use on this one? There are recommendations but what's really the best for it?
It really eats just about anything, but I tend to run Fiocchi 115gr because it's almost always on sale for 17 cents per round at PSA. Here's the link -bit.ly/2IbM2sn
XLIVLP for practice I use Blazer Brass Ammunition.
What’s the actual name or link for that pull through price u use for the cotton swabs
Thanks for the video, bought a sccy cpx-2 couple weeks ago shot it for the first time this weekend camping, so home today and cleaned it for the first time. Pretty straight forward video!
Firing pi hanging up how would you clean? Thanks
What kind of oil should be used
Thanks a lot man, helped me for sure.
How do I get it where the slid went forward before lock pin was put in place and now it won't come back apart
Usually it is the spring in the slide getting stuck I tuned mine sideways and it went back into place
Also make sure the barrel is slid forward to where the pin hole line up you can put the pin through with the barrel slid back but it won't slide shut
I have a sccy as well great little gun for the wife. Did you buy yours blue like that or did you get it painted?
No, it came like that
Thanks. I learned a lot
Thanks buddy I can now clean it with no worriees
good explanation.
How do you take the bottom of the gun apart
Thx. Great vid
So why do they say do not use steal cased bullets in the pistol?
Ehh do it. Modern handguns can handle it
A what's the lil silver picture e that looks like miniature bullet
It's real small a quarter of a inch long and 1/6 wide just curious where it goes
So it breaks down like an XDS-9
Should i clean my new gun or no
Thank you
I Clean My Sccy More Than My House
Thanks

Do kno w where i can order a new rail
And parts for it
Sccy web site probably has them if not a quick Google search will find several sites to oder from

don't need ...huge trigger pull
Safety is in the trigger. Research it
With the trigger pull on the sccy cpx imo it really does not need it. But then again I have carried for 30 years an have never used the safety on any of mine just watch what your doing but again that is just my opinion
