    Sorry about the music being too loud in the middle of the video. I know it’s louder then the rest of the vid because RUclips didn’t like the music I originally used in that segment so they made me replace it with one of their own tracks. The only way to do that is inside the RUclips and there is no way to lower or raise the volume :)

    Great work on saving the roof. Our Getz had the roof replaced for far less damage that what your Civic had. No doubt a panel shop would have replaced the Civic rood for around $2k - $3k, but doing it yourself saved a fortune.

      Not sure how I would have gone about this repair without the spotter, it definitely saved that roof.

      Thank you Kasan !!! My son is getting older and I'd like to teach him as much as I can, I told him that this isn't something that he would have to do as a primary job if he doesn't want to, but possessing these skills will always be a good way to put some extra money into his pocket 👍

Thank you for sharing!! If you don't mind could you tell us where we can find the dent puller kit your using. Just like you said in the video I've been using the old school nail gun in this is much easier and much more professional and precise!!

    Cool video-no experience at all so forgive the stupid question but why could you not come from underneath and push out?

    • @fix206
      @fix206  3 года назад

      The roof is made of two layers of sheet metal, the reason I couldn't come in from the bottom was because I would end up destroying the lower layer of without really pushing out the top layer to where it had to be. That's why it was necessary for me to come in from the top

    Always better and easier to just replace the whole roof.

    • @fix206
      @fix206  3 года назад

      Whether replacing the roof would've been a better move is debatable. Definitely not easier, this repair was pretty quick to do and a lot less invasive. New roof panel is $800-1000, I didn't have to cut out and then reinstall the back window. Obviously if you are a body guy and you're not the one dealing with cutting out adjacent glass, dealing with prepping and painting then it is obviously a better move for you. For me it was a lot less work to do it this way, I didn't have to spend anymore money on parts... Therefore doing it this way was the easiest, fastest and most cost-effective.
