I just took my new WRX in to the Dealer yesterday. They have a Guy who they outsource that comes in once a week and does all dent/ ding repairs.
I have one ding in the same spot on the roof rail (half the size) you worked on and it is right in the middle of the rail. No edges. He told me he can’t do it without even looking at the car. I said, you can’t pull that lil ding out of there? He said, I can’t get under it. I laughed at him. He said, if it isn’t on the door or the Hood, it can’t be done, not even the roof. I even have ding and dent repair service I paid for when I bought the car.
I went and bought a Dent Puller kit last night, watched a bunch of videos and it popped right out.
You want his Job, it’s yours !!! 😂😂😂😂

Aren't you worried about creating more dings or scratches by places your tools on the roof and not as gentle placing the light fixture? I'm OCD and would be watching like a hawk. Or am I being over cautious?
