The RRC oil pump from the FD2 type r bolts onto a z3 girdle without any cutting

It also does not have such a gap between the pan and the pick up... something people seem to miss often, and often results in engine failures when oil level is low...

Can we swap over the K20 girdle onto the k24 so that we don't have to shave the type S oil pump?

B Series it is probably do able, I never had a k24 so wouldn’t want to give a definitive answer but if the main journals are the same size then I do not see it being an issue. In my opinion I think it is easier to tap the girdle and shave the pump to fit.

I wouldn't suggest it because the main journal holes may end up being out of round. Each engine has different manufacturing tolerances and the components are matched to one another at the factory to ensure correct clearances, that is why the bearings are color coded to ensure a proper fit and the block and crank are stamped with journal codes to size the bearings. It's not a big deal to shave the oil pump to fit, it only took me about 30 minutes. Hope this helps!
