the thing with the Chanel micro pearl is that I don't know about the quality of the pearl part. when I saw it online the first thing I thought about was how notorious is Chanel costume jewelry with stones falling and things not looking great after a relatively short time. I don't know if it's relevant at all but somehow I worry it won't be the best quality. maybe in person it's easier to tell how good is the quality.
People said the pearls are all fake😣 not sure myself

Lady Dior: My cousin has it and she loves it. Looks so chic, especially with casual minimalist outfits. But I get what you mean by it all being too much with handles, charms, quilting etc. The opening is a bit small, so you might scratch your hand on the zipper
Dior Montaigne: Looks very your style! The CD logo quite trendy.
Loewe Gate: the one I would get. Looks so luxurious, almost hermes-equestrian with the stitching and belt design

I think the pearl bag you were describing is what I would call a statement piece. The joy of it is primarily in its appealing and interesting design. If it doesn't go viral and you yourself love it with a passion then I think it will always be something you will be able to wear and people will think wow, what a cool and interesting Chanel bag. So to sum up, if most people haven't seen that design here there and everywhere to the point where they can put a date on it then it will be timeless because it is gorgeous, different and of course Chanel.

The C 19 in creme is perfect and different enough to the classic Chanel you own. I prefer it over the Dior M (beautiful but too much logo). Love the Loewe bag, too.
I recently bought the matte black lady dior and I will say it's very edgy in matte. I get so many compliments when I wear it.

As soon as you showed the Dior Montaigne, I thought that was totally the bag for you! It's sleek, classic, elegant for dress but also gives that bump to casual attire, love the color selection, it isn't too big or too small. Perfect! I'm not a fan of the Chanel 19 or any of the Loewe bags. The Lady Dior is beautiful but specific - unless you love a top handle bag but imo it loses it's elegance when worn with the shoulder strap. I always comment that I love how you put so much thought into your selections. Good luck!
Chanel 19 in beige, beautiful bag, timeless . It has a little bit of edge to it with the chain/ strap. Looks like a bag you d use quite often .
The Loewe bag is my favorite. It’s good quality and a very unique style. I have the Loewe Puzzle bag, and I’m so impressed by the leather.
Malene Bak what size, colour did you get the puzzle in? I was thinking of going with the medium using as a casual bag it can hold everything plus. I think it would hold close to my LV speedy 30. Tried on both at Saks. Just the small is so cute? Need to decide. Help
@@cathybeaton451 I chose the small version (in Tan). I tried the medium as well, but thought if was a bit too big for my frame. But I am still considering getting the medium in another colour (midnight blue/black). The medium has a lot more details but the small can easily carry a lot of things for daily use :-). Good luck!
Hi Evelyn. As I listened to you talk I took note that you were most excited and in love with the Chanel trendy. That bag in beige is truly divine. It is the sort of bag that will look just as classy and relevant for decades to come. Great video and I love seeing your thought process for your next bag purchase. I think the Loewe is great and would be perfect with your style. The Lady Dior, even though it is quite a feminine bag, I think mixing a feminine accessory with a more masculine/minimalist style might add a surprising/fun touch, you can also wear it casually during the day or at night for a fancy dinner. You have not mentioned it in your video, but I do think that the Bottega Veneta BV classic might be a bag you might want to look at. There are 2 sizes and quite a few colours available. It is not a cheap bag but it costs a lot less than the Chanel or Dior ones you've suggested. Of course, the resale value will not be the same either. Cannot wait to see what you've chosen in the end!
If you want a beige bag I would go for the 19 flap, but if you want a black classic, timeless and practical bag definitely go for the trendy. I have two trendy bags in light colors and the leather is very durable my favorite Chanel bag ATM.
My first choice would be the Loewe . I do love the fact that it is smaller. More frequently now, I prefer to not wear a bag that draws great attention. If you know, you know. It is beautiful and I also love the fact that it does not have either gold or silver standing out. The light color can be protected from color transfer with a spray product. I could see wearing this bag quite often. Have you tried fitting it with everything you usually carry? Done a trial fill? I fill it and walk around the boutique a bit with it on. I’m quite a bit older, 60, so the SAs let me get away with those type of things before buying. It’s all about how you carry the bag, not the expense of the bag.
Chanel Trendy is sooo gorgeous, would love to get it someday (but in my case I always prefer something colorful) 🥰🥰
I vote Trendy! So classic yet modern. Won't date and will look fabulous forever! Seems like it would match your style and be a great investment. All the others seem too trendy. Love hearing your measured pros and cons! I have to make decisions that same way. Great videos!
The 19 as I think it has that casual vibe that I love and think you are after. It seems more of a grab and go bag that is also combined with a luxury feel/look ☺️ The “squishiness” separates it from the rest in my opinion even though the others are lovely also

Get the Lady D in durable calfskin ( Supple, unstructured). They are still classic but look and feel modern and casual chic. A guitar strap adds a punch. Come in many colors. I have a dark muted gold and love it! A forever piece to dress down or up.
Love my trendy- I got it in black and champagne hardware since that is the color bag I use the most. Highly recommend

The Trendy and 19 are my favorites, but I feel like the Trendy is the cutest in a punchy color, like a beautiful indigo or something like the cactus green from Hermes. 🥰

the geek is chic bear in mind I am not a black bag kind of person. I took me some time to establish that, but now I know that for me pop of color is the way to go. I only really use a black bag for formal occasions at work, and a small one by a Polish designer Sabrina Pilewicz to go with darker coats in the winter because of the grimy weather here in Warsaw.
You sound the most excited when talking about the Montaigne. 🙂 Other than that I’d go for the Lady Dior, I have it in a beige pink and with the badges it can actually look quite casual.
MsZanev wear with thick strap and badges casual , without the strap to dress up. It’s such a timeless bag. I had wanted one for almost 20 years. Just didn’t love the opening found the zipper hard to get into. Then the small ( I think it’s called my lady) Dior came out with the flap. Happy I waited all those years. The bag is one of my favourites.

I would either do the Chanel Trendy CC or the Lady Dior for sure! I love the micro pearl bag, but you could just add a little top handle pearl strap to your other classic flap and it would kind of be the same vibe.

Your choices are all extremely beautiful. I’m not sure about the pearl strap of the CHANEL. I wonder how it will wear and age through the years. The trendy is lovely too, but I am partial to the chevron quilting. I think that the Celine Classic Box seems more timeless than the Dior Montaigne. I wonder if it might be easier for you to pick your next addition by deciding if it’s a specific brand, color, hardware, texture, structure or shape that you’re craving or isn’t present in your current collection. Thank for this video it caused me to stop and think . I’m all over the place with my 2020 wish list. I really like that you are very clear about your style. I am too easily in influenced by Utubers that have been gifted their choices in bag.. I love the Chanel 19, and the Dior Montaigne. I wanted the Chanel 19 but I got the YSL Loulou puffer bag.which I like a lot.. I been looking at the Chanel Trendy. I need to find my style and stay focus. You convinced me to get the Bottega large pouch which I love.

Either the trendy or lady Dior, I like the versatility of top handle and shoulder bags. If you go for a light color you can always hold it in your hand if you are wearing denim and worried about color transfer
I would try to get the Chanel trendy in the beige colors. I also like the brown color trendy too.
Very well done video and excellent wish list. I recently acquired the Lady Dior medium from Fashionphile. It appears it was a discontinued color but came with the original brand new tags. I saved almost $1400 over retail. So that is one way you could go if you want to go that route. My favorite of your Chanel considerations was the Trendy. I agree, timeless elegance. Ultimately, I went with the small Coco handle in black with gold hardware. It’s at least $1000 less than the trendy, comes in caviar, has feet on the bottom, and more spacious compartments. It is truly a classic bag in that it is built like the single classic flap. I love it so much that I also recently acquired it in beige! I hope these comments and those of our fellow RUclipsrs help you get your direction sorted. Excited to see what you do choose.

I like the chanel 19 in black/gold and cream/gold. I’m not sure if it will become a classic but I still love it.
I would say go with what makes your heart sing the most regardless of “classic” because that just gets boring after a while to always be safe
I love your style, it is so very similar to mine! If you had to choose one, I would choose the Trendy CC in beige. Because you already have a Chanel classic flap, if you bought the trendy cc in black, you might feel like they have the same purpose. I also like that the trendy CC has a top handle, and prefer the look over the lady Dior (which is a similar style of bag). If you had to choose 2, I would add the Dior Montaigne! I think the Montaigne style will become a classic because of its very simple and classic look: a boxy flap bag. The silhouette is timeless, which I think compliments your style. If the Loewe bag cost the same amount as the others, I don’t think it would be on your list, which means you probably don’t like it as much. Can’t wait to see what you decide on!

I bought a camel color 30 Montaigne because it totally matches my Stuart Weitzman boots and that was exactly what I wanted. That bag, in that color. I don't know if it's true but, the manager told me that it's taking the place of the Diorama. I never liked that bag because the clasp reminded me of the Aspinal's clasp. I bought a black 'My Lady Dior'. It's the perfect size for me. It was exactly what I wanted. I bought a white Prada monochrome (which I can wear with both silver or gold), it was $1900, which is reasonable for a 'top' designer, because I didn't want to buy an expensive white bag because they tend to yellow over time. It was exactly what I wanted. I can go on with the Chanel I bought and the Ferragamos that I bought. But if you haven't noticed yet, all the bags I bought were "exactly what I wanted". I couldn't walk out of the store without them. I don't know you well enough to tell you what to get. But if I had to suggest, I would say a Chanel mini rectangular in a beautiful beige color. You'll probably keep this bag forever. I don't particularly like the Loewe. It looks ordinary to me.
I like the Lady Dior mini, think it can work well for evening. I love the embroidered bags! Perhaps look for a second hand one?
Of the Chanel bags, only the classic mini is a bag I see keeping its value and staying trendy. Perhaps look for a color other than black?
The Loewe is also cool, but it is quite casual, might not be as versatile.
I feel the same about Lady dior, this bag is a real beauty but since I'm not that girly and classic I'm worried that it will stay in my closet plus I heard that the leather is really fragile to handle for everyday use. After your saddle video I'm going for that one and maybe later Montaigne. I love so much Dior ❤

I love the Chanel 19 personally. I like the squishy aspect of the bag that can be styled casually or more dressed up. You can crossbody or hold by the handle or shoulder. It seems very roomy. The Loewe bag looks really nice too. The Chanel 19 though seems more your style too.
Hi Evelyn, I have a vintage Lady Dior in dark brown which I bought pre-loved from Vestiaire and personally get a lot of use out of it. It's a classic that will not go out of style any time soon and has been around for so long. I'd say either that or the Montaigne which I 'd totally get if I had the funds. You're more of a Dior than a Chanel girl to me. ;) But i'd say go for the bag that makes you happy regardless of resale value.
I own the 19 in the Bronze color that you showed. It’s beautiful and I have never seen anyone carrying it. My store only got one and I was fortunate enough to be first on the list. If you like being unique and you can get your hands on that color I would highly recommend. I put a bag shaper in mine which gives it just enough structure but doesn’t take away from the soft and squishy factor. One that fits a jumbo works great.

My two favorite Chanel bags are the Chanel 19, and the Chanel Trendy. Those will be my next two purchases of Chanel if and when. I think I would only buy pre-loved now because Chanel is just losing their minds with the price increases so totally agree with all you’re saying. Something about that pillow bag that I just adore, So I would probably just wear it for as long as I enjoyed it even if it went out of style. I honestly think it’s bag that in maybe 15 years or so will come back, like the Dior saddle bag or the Fendi baguette.. either of those bags would look amazing in a tan or a gray or taupe.. Have you considered the Lady Dior in matte black? Feel the same way about that bag, like it’s very girly but the matte black looks fabulous. I could be convinced in that texture/color.. ❤️❤️❤️

They did just announce that the Chanel 19 will be part of their classic collection! Which also means, it will be included in the price increases each year. I personally love it! It’s on my wishlist! I love how it can be worn dresses up and casual. Also, it was the last bag designed by Karl. It’s a must have for any Chanel lover! 😍

You need a loewe puzzle bag. Simple, special and very comfortable. My lady dior or mini lady ladior is in my wishlist. Its an easy way to make a simple outfit special and it is a timeless piece. I have the chanel trendy cc and its my fave chanel bag. Very luxurious.
My vote goes to the 30 Montaigne, although not the chain version - I prefer the proportions of the leather strap (?) version!

Here’s my thoughts if they help
From the Chanel bags the way you spoke about the 19, I would suggest you start with that one. You even talked about using it for work. The trendy is beautiful and on my Wishlist but will always be around.
From Dior, it’s the 30 Mont. Not only is it on my list this year as well, it is a bag you can dress up/down and it is such a good style. I already have the small lady and only use it at night to go to dinner. It is beautiful, but if you are limiting choices this year then go with the 30 Mont.

Lady dior is the perfect option, mainly because of its versatility. Remember u can get a variety of straps to tough it up or make it more girly. Plus since u r not a girly but still not a tomboy dresser, it brings the right amount of balance to ur look. But still i understand ur dilemma. U have already narrowed it down to the best of the best options and its still hard to decide. Never the less all the best.

I think it’s safe to cross out the Chanel pearl. Chanel bags will always be pricey no matter what, but at least getting a good value, to me, is important. Like you compared that to the mini flap, it doesn’t make sense to me to buy a smaller bag that is more expensive and may not hold up well in resale.
I think the Loewe bag is decent. Although it’s very different from all others on the list, I can totally see it on you. Not a huge fan of the leather strap though.
The Montaigne and the lady are polar opposites IMO. I dream about the Lady however it seems that getting in and out of the bag can be difficult. The Montaigne seems more youthful and modern and I think matches your style better than the Lady. I’m also a sucker for a good flap bag!
The 19 is cute and I do like it a lot, but the “squishiness” makes me nervous that it will not hold its shape over time, and *may* be punctured easily.
The Trendy is freaking awesome in the Chevron leather and would be the bag I personally would go for. I think this bag does it all without trying hard. It can be casual when you want it to be, it can be formal, and from what I see it’s very spacious with a lot of compartments, which I personally put toward the top of my list of things to look for in a bag. Not to mention the Trendy does well in resale. Also, this bag is classic looking while still remaining modern. My biggest downside with this bag is that the chain strap is not removable, which is a huge bummer since I personally do like to switch it up and wear my bags on the inside of my elbow sometimes.

honestly I am little bit over Chanel and Dior at the moment...these brands are everywhere. I would go for the Loewe or Montaigne, I think these two would suit you the best from all of these you mentioned
What a coincidence, I've been trying to pick my next bag as well! I'm leaning towards the Chanel 19 for myself in either light pink or light beige. It reminds me of the Saint Laurent Lou Lou Puffer, only less edgy.
For you, I think the Dior 30 Montaigne would be perfect with your style, either in the white or the gray grained calfskin leathers. (I'd personally lean towards the gray, only because I feel like white leather's hard to maintain) While trendy, it is still a simple design that I think will be easily worn throughout future seasons. However, I find that Dior doesn't hold their value as easily as Chanel, even the Lady Dior. if your main concern is return of investment, then the Chanel Trendy CC. If your main priority is enjoyment and usage, then the Montaigne :)
For what it’s worth... I would say the C 19 or the trendy are great for color and value also one of Karl’s last designs. Personally I love the Lady Dior in black it can be dressed up or down just look at how LydiaMillen styles her looks with her Dior. However, since you have a lot of black bags I would chose one of the two options above and get that neutral color.

I think the 30 Montaigne looks very you but I am also a huge fan of the Mini Lady Dior! 😍 I feel like depending on the colour combination it can be more or less “girly”. I also think that the small Loewe puzzle bag would be a great addition to your collection for a more casual yet stylish addition.
Regarding the Chanel options, the Trendy CC would be my favourite but the Mini Pearl... that chain going under the bag just bothers me!!

I kinda feel you loved more the Chanel 19, so I would say that one.
On the other hand, the Loewe is 100 percent you!
I love the look of the Chanel bag with pearls but think that it’s not worth the money or the space in your curated and minimalist wardrobe! The trendy cc and lady Dior I both wouldn’t have come to my mind as bags that were ‘your style’ (although I love them myself and are actually two of my dream bags, they are very ‘ladylike’). Now the 19B however I think would suit your style perfectly!! The top handle means it can be dressy, but the puffiness also makes it more casual. I heard that they have made 19B part of their permanent collection so that’s also a plus, but I may be wrong!! I’m personally not a fan of the fabric versions, but the cream leather one.. 😍😍 I also do like the Loewe gate bag, and am interested if you’ve ever considered the puzzle bag? The 30 Montaigne bag is a bit meh for me. It’s nice, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price tag! Hope this helps and looking forward to see what you decide upon

🖤 Dior 30 Montaigne! I love this simple yet classic style! The Chanel 19 looks also great on you...but you have already a "puffy" bag with your Bottega Veneta bag (I don't mean that they are too similar...it's just: there is already a pillowy bag in your collection). These are my two favourites for you! 🤗
Of the Chanel bags I would say the Trendy is the only one that I would get, you could always get it in a cream or white or tan color so it would go with your wardrobe but still be different than your other Chanel. I also agree with other comments that for resale- this is the best choice out of the Chanels. Anything that Karl hasn't touched, I would not buy from Chanel. Their new designer is still getting her footing and it's very hit or miss (apparently theres a rumor Phoebe Philo might be taking over Chanel which is crazy...?!) .
As for the Lady Dior...I have heard many, many great things but I do know some of them have a zipper opening as opposed to just a flap opening and I've heard that the ones with the zipper are very difficult to get into. I don't know if they still make them with the zipper but just to keep in mind/research.
However, the Loewe Gate bag really reminds me of your style! Sort of abstract in shape/modern looking, not so logo mania. I would not get the Dior Montaigne because it reminds me a lot of the Saddle bag which you already have.

Hi Evelyn, I like the concept of this video and seeing myself in you in that sense that I also work hard for my money and like to buy pieces that “add value” to my outfits, my comfort, make me happy and will be timeless.
I have been reading through the comments and the advises from your subbies are interesting. As I’m following you for 6 months now, here’s my humble opinion :
- Chanel pearl, boh.. gorgeous yes but timeless? Not sure. Quality? Not convinced. Price? High
- Chanel coco : practical, timeless, I can see you with a beige one
- Chanel 19 : I don’t adhere to a slouchy Chanel in leather.
- Lady Dior : in noir forever. Timeless, chic! But you have quite some black bags.. so hmm.. hard one
- 30 Montaigne: quoting you for the con. I wouldn’t (unless I would have much more to spend)
- Loewe : Iooks a tad too casual
In any case, I wish you to buy what you love.

Hi Evelyn, I got Dior Saddle, loving it to the bits. Next in my wish list is Lady Dior mini. As yourself mentioned, its petite and so more specious than what it looks. More reasons of Why I love it is that it is feminine, timeless, great art work, adds on and elevates any look. For me personally i prefer amazing bags rather than to badazzle myself with lot’s of jewelry. Hence, final look is well balanced and not too masculine yet not too feminine also (anyways its never too feminine when you are a female🥰🌸)
I do feel it would look awesome on you too. Its a “jewelry” bag... especially when style is minimalistic one may consider a “talking” accessory...
PS. I do not work for Dior. Just genuinely loved my experience with them in all meanings. Collections are so fantastic, all the way to the packaging. So artistic👌

I think of the trendy bags, I would go with the Loewe if I were you. Because the other trendy bags have so much exposure (but are kind of plain), if the style is discontinued, it will be very obvious when it is out of style. The Loewe is so low key but also very interesting looking, no one would think twice (or even know) if the bag isn't still being sold. An interesting bag with really artistic lines will always be in style (those bags are viewed as a "collectible"). My only issue with the Gate is it looks so fussy to use. You have to slip the flap into the loop to open & close or the flap covers the detail that makes the bag interesting, and there is no security in the closure.
The pearls on the chanel bag, I really feel hesitant about that. It's definitely too trendy and dainty for me. I'd definitely break it and I can't imagine chanel's quality has vastly improved. The Lady Dior in a seasonal color would be bomb. Like a warm pink. Great with your new hair. And you can use your other strap on it from your saddle bag. The new CD design on the following bag, idk if I'm sold on it quite yet. But it could grow on me.
Hey Evelyn! I have been your subscriber for quite sometime and I feel like the last bag is more you! It’s more spunky. The other bags are a bit boring if I may audaciously say so.
Off course it’s my opinion and you can choose whatever is your choice, in the end. You may end up with something totally different 😅 best of luck.

I would go for the Chanel Trendy! It' s beautiful and versatile, plus I think it would suit your style. The second choice would be the lady Dior, it's one of the classic Dior bags and it comes in so many sizes/ colors, I am sure you would find one that really works for your wardrobe :)

I think the best one is the Lady Dior. The Chanel Trendy CC could work too but I think you would use the Lady Dior more since it's smaller. And I don't think it's too girly, you can easily dress it down and/or choose one with the "rectangle" shape letters if you see what I'm talking about ^^'.

I think you should go with a Hermes bolide 31 in gold with contrast white stitching.
For me it would have to be the Chanel 19! The others just seem a little 'meh' in comparison. I'm by no means a Chanel fan (was hugely disappointed in store, nothing wowed me), but that 19 could be the one Chanel bag I go for! Definitely in creme for you and your wardrobe 👍🏼

To your point regarding the Gabrielle, I think it has became almost iconic because it is the last purse designed by Mr. Lagerfeld and it marks an era for the house.

Lady Dior without a doubt. It's one of the only two I lust for and I am a non bag person. Its classic, it's enduring style. Its modest with pizzazz. It says wealth without gaudyness. It says I am put together without having to try. Its readily available pretty loved and if it. doesn't work out resell it at the price you paid as pre loved (or to me lol). If its tasteful enough for Duchess Catherine, it will work for us. Its bag engineering!
Ciao Evelyn! As I can see myself a lot in your style I would definitely go for the 3D Montaigne. It is actually one of my favorite bags at the moment ❤️ In my humble opinion, I think Chanel bags are a little overrated and to me Dior has that X factor ❤️ But I am a Dior lover so I'm sold with pretty much everything that has the CD logo on it 😊 I think this bag would be a great investment as well. We are having a similar dilemma! I considered all these bags and eliminated some of them.
I would not go for the chanel micro pearl (too expensive for what it is and may be a trend piece) and I love the new design , but with chanel prices- I prefer to wait until I am sure its going to stick around.
I also am considering a medium lady dior, the problem is I watched a video saying they are uncomfortable to wear Crossbody.
I am now also considering the ysl camera bag (not the toy), in a creamy nude colour. Its large, can easily use everyday - and cheaper than most (under 1000) of the other alternatives (like the gate bag).
