I got a 2024 Lyriq last fall while still on the wait list for a C8. Drove it from Canada to California for the winter and back in April. Really like it a lot and you do get used to the one pedal driving. It is great in heavy traffic and freeways as you are not constantly going from gas pedal to brake and back again. Once you get used to feathering the gas pedal to slow down it is fun to drive. Finally got my new C8 last month and absolutely love it. Enjoying the contrast between driving the two vehicles.
My wife has one. The auto braking can be turned off if you don’t like it. The space below is perfect for her a purse. Not so good for smaller items.
It was great hearing your reaction, I know you a go fast gas pedal kind of guy! The Lyriq has the option to turn off 1- pedal drive and I love the way the acceleration is very similar to a normal crossover suv. Cadillac has always been known for the luxury aspect of vehicles and I love not buying gas.
I was on a pre=order list for the Lyriq and because of the delays I ended up with a BMW IX as my daily driver. It is fully electric and I love it. It is crazy fast! I also own a 22 C8 HTC and love it too.

I have the best of both worlds ( gas/electric) . Bought new 2013 Chevy volt still averaging 40 miles on electric before gas engine engine kicks in.

I like the look of some electric vehicles but i hate that they are all electric 😂. My wife is waiting for the 2025 Acura RDX not sure what package yet. They have to get the charging network across the whole country working first then the battery technology needs to get more accurate as far as what they say you will get per charge vs what you actually get.
