Alex, the note says (14:10) : "crochet shawl = This is a very finely hand-crocheted lace doily, done in ecru thread (...), with a pinwheel at the centre, and roses at the outer edges." 😉 I love crochet and yarns in the videos! 😅
Thank you for taking the time to "translate" the note 🙂. My mom recently passed away, leaving behind PILES of finely crocheted thread doilies and other decorative items given to her by my grandma. As a recent crocheter myself, I have a whole new respect for the time and effort put into these intricate pieces.
Alex,I think you have to go back to this house, there must be more treasures like the ones you found now.🙏🏻🥰 You had me in stitches again with the 1910 doll “what am I doing here??”😂🤣 I LOVE everything you find but today it was the vanity case that stole my heart.🥰
Hi Alex, Those two boy and girl dolls are not Polish, it's a set of Ukrainian dolls dressed in Ukrainian national clothes made in Kyiv in 1940-50 at the "Pobeda" (Victory) toy factory.
Yes, easily recognizable as Ukrainian (especially as there is a large Ukrainian population in and around Edmonton, and in beautiful condition. I didn't find the last house he and Patrick emptied out very interesting, but I would love to go through this one myself; so many real treasures in it. :)
This is even better than your last one. Not as much stuff but most are things one no longer sees or maybe never did. Nice you have that big garage to unpack and clean in. Thanks for bringing us along.
It is so special that most of the items have hand written notes so you don't have to guess at what it is, it's all written down for you. What a fabulous collection! 🥰🥰🥰
I'm not into antiques usually but that Fisher Price Little People house brings back so many memories!!! And Barbie furniture made from real stained wood, amazing 👏
I remember having dolls like the newer ones. I was born in 1952! My mama worked at the Ideal doll compsny. I had all the dolls! Still have my Shirly Temple doll! Fun stuff!!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Hopefully he went back and bought as much as the owner was willing to sell! Just the care and attention to detail has kept these toys in the most valuable condition.
I am eating my own words! I complained before about your apt building video. Ive watched more of your videos and you are FANTASTIC! Fixing up the hoarder house was super fun to watch! This video is is amazing! Please forgive! Im a believer now!
I’m astounded and in love with all the treasures so far and I could watch this forever! I must say I’m a bit jealous of Melissa for having the opportunity to clean and dress those precious babies! The Vanity Theatre is my favorite! Never have I seen so such an unusual piece and I want it!! Also, the little doll with the skates from 1955, I was 4 going on 5 in that same year when I got my first set of skates that attached to your shoes and were tightened with a skate key! Anyone else remember the pain from them being too tight?! Did you ignore and continue to skate?! Me too ❣️
In the '40s, we eagerly waited for the Sears 'wish book' - the Christmas catalog with all the toys- When it finally came, my brother and I would lie on the floor and linger over each wonder, for hours. Great time of the year to experience the same feelings while you unpack the boxes. Thank you
Yes, one of the notes he was trying to read said hand-crocheted shawl or something like that. Perhaps the owner made those items herself. I guess I shouldn't assume it was a woman. Men have been known to crochet or knit too. But the handwriting seems feminine.
What a fabulous collection of toys so lovingly cared for and animated with supporting letters. Sure will add to the value, enjoying the discovery with you Alex
That antique doll from 1910 will give me nightmares for weeks😳 my grandma was an antique doll collector and when I was little, she used to make me sleep in her doll room. I’m still scarred 😂 I was absolutely terrified during my nights at her house.
All this stuff was at a hoarders house. It goes to show you that the things that you collect either end up in a dumpster or an estate junk sale and someone unrelated to you will just sell it. I am trying to eliminate my clutter and I have seen it so many times where someone will have this collection of things that are important to them, but the next person to become the owner of it will either trash it or flip it and have no emotional attachment like you do with it. In the end, your collection is really only important to you.
So many treasures in these boxes and all the notes that are with them are a look back in time history of one person's life I offen am disheartened with younger people who just threw out things that are bits of their childhood whoever this person was they have left a wonderful insight to years gone by I do hope you go back to that home and find more treasures of early times thanks Alex for your interesting videos make my day a little brighter ❤ from Australia
Thank you so much for showcases these items in this way that feels so satisfying. How fabulous is this collection! The woman who gathered all these wonderful things was meticulous and must have been a very interesting person. I am so intrigued with her notes on everything, her ideas and sketches. I would have been thrilled to have her in my ancestry tree!
Alexander, do NOT push on the eyes! Bad boy! That is an Armand Marseille German bisque name doll. If you force the eyes they can break away from inside the head. Granted, the doll is not super high value but one needs to be careful or the value will be compromised. Doll collectors just heaved a collective gasp of horror. Dear boy, please be careful, lol. 😂
Every thing is in such great shape. She really took care of her toys. Could we see the old Christmas Santa that was wrapped in a bag at 4:25 ? I could tell it was a Santa but you never opened it. Old Christmas decor is very collectible. Thank you Alex. This has been so fun!
Very Neat'O video Brother Alexander. I appreciate all the notes and drawings the Lady made. Makes the doll's much more interesting! Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures 😀 👍 ♥️ 🇨🇦🇺🇸🌎♥️♥️💯💯💯💯💯
Hey Alex, another good video. I'm not really interested in dolls but these last two videos of yours have revealed a really nice collection of dolls and toys that are in such good shape and often complete with accessories and notes! that add to the history and the story of each item. I think if you get to go back to that house again there are more treasures to be found and we will be here to watch you unbox these great finds and historical memories. Carry on picking!
I really enjoy your channel. Believe it or not it is educational! More entertaining than just the face value. I just looked up one of the dolls that you found (that I'd never heard of) and it led me to a deep dive into the history of a certain fashion designer, and then into department stores...etc.
What an incredible collection. Just amazing to think how old these items are but more importantly, what good condition they're in. Definitely need to go back there and hunt some more.
Hey Alex. Wow! Congratulations on another great haul from a hoarder house - all those cool and exciting items packed away for years in cardboard boxes, storage bins and other containers. Fortunately, after all these years none of those containers contained any edible items.
The dolls. Oh the dolls! I think there was/were some blessed daughters in that house. Such a delight to see antique toys. I would have been happy with the trucks to.
Amazing finds. Thanks for sharing. I loved the old dolls and that vanity/playhouse was the best and most interesting thing so far. It must be extremely rare.
Some of these items belong in a museum! I really hope that jewellery box finds a good home. And that Alex puts the notes in the auction lots too, they are fascinating!
OMG I love going through these antiques with you. What an amazing trip down memory lane. How many of us had the presence of mind to keep our old toys in such pristine shape. Greetings from Northern Canada.
I would be opening all of the boxes looking for more dolls and would leave stuff all over the place. I admire your discipline opening each box at a time.
The toys dolls etc. would these have been owned by typically upper class? They are so intricate and well thought out by the manufacturers. Would you ever consider doing a video reviewing the original prices for some of these items? Thanks for letting us share in your finds. ❤
What an amazing collection!!! To find these pieces at all is wonderful! But then the excellent condition! And then-gasp! - all the notes and tags of explanation - some from the original owner ! I'm not sure I could give up hardly any of them! (Maybe Melissa could tuck the 2 little Ukraine dolls away for a future grand child - or your daughter may be interested? - am I wrong in thinking that is a part of your heritage?) Please please 🙏 go back for more of these treasure boxes! And as always - thank you for sharing!
LOVED this video so much. Hope the notes get sold too....how lovely of someone to have taken the time to write all of those notes. Oh, that Vanity Theatre and Jiminy Cricket are darling! Are these going to auction???
This Lady was an amazing collector not only did she label everything. Then she would put each item in plastic bags in order to preserve them as well as possible. Then to have some of there original boxes as well. I’m truly in awe by her collection. You have been blessed to be able to get these items. So that you can pass them on to the next amazing collector’s collection. I truly hope you go back to get more boxes. I’m also glad you explained that you bought the boxes without seeing what was inside of them. I was so confused watching the 1st video. Why you were saying things as if you hadn’t seen them. I kept thinking well Alex of course you know about this or that you bought it. Now that all makes sense. 😊
Hello from Roseburg Oregon... I have been watching you for some time now and have found every video amazing... Particularly enjoy your accent and jokes (most of them!).. I tried to find Possum Seed Company in Portland For you... No luck.. They have changed some of the street names ... So not sure if it is still 2nd and Taylor... God-bless
Hi Linda Couch not sure what gave you the idea I was in Portland. I actually live just west of New Orleans in Louisiana. I also don’t remember ever mentioning Possum Seed Company. I don’t even know what that is. Thanks for your reply and I will try not to say amazing in every comment. Thanks again 😊
Alex, the note says (14:10) : "crochet shawl = This is a very finely hand-crocheted lace doily, done in ecru thread (...), with a pinwheel at the centre, and roses at the outer edges." 😉 I love crochet and yarns in the videos! 😅

I was just about to say the same thing, but you did it before me. Thanks for sharing, though...
Alex,I think you have to go back to this house, there must be more treasures like the ones you found now.🙏🏻🥰
You had me in stitches again with the 1910 doll “what am I doing here??”😂🤣
I LOVE everything you find but today it was the vanity case that stole my heart.🥰
Hi Alex,

He did say Polish or Ukranian, so he was on the right track.👏 Alex is Ukranian himself.🇺🇦
I was a kid in the 1950s and I had the Green Giant version of that Allied Van Lines truck. It was one of my favorite toys. 🙂
I'm amazed, that, even the oldest dolls, show no crazing. They were meticulously cared for.
Watching Alexander play with dolls is always fun time.
This is even better than your last one. Not as much stuff but most are things one no longer sees or maybe never did. Nice you have that big garage to unpack and clean in. Thanks for bringing us along.
Love going through old boxes and finding treasures, so much fun
It is so special that most of the items have hand written notes so you don't have to guess at what it is, it's all written down for you. What a fabulous collection! 🥰🥰🥰
The pressed steel truck's are in fabulous condition for their age.. I especially like the Allied Moving Truck and trailer..😍😲 Very cool..👍💕🔥🤙
Oh wow, having a parent who works at a doll factory sounds like a child's dream!
Thanks for not making us wait on the green box! so nice that there are notes on so many of the pieces.
I had to stop in the beginning of this video to comment on that shirt. It’s really spectacular! 👍👏👏👏
The woman that owned these dolls left such a fine record.
I’m astounded and in love with all the treasures so far and I could watch this forever! I must say I’m a bit jealous of Melissa for having the opportunity to clean and dress those precious babies! The Vanity Theatre is my favorite! Never have I seen so such an unusual piece and I want it!!

The first tiny doll in yellow looks like a Ginny doll....still made today! The black doll is very nice....they can be worth quite a bit!!
Yes, I still have my Ginny doll and I’m 74
Totally impressed by the care taken by the collector of these items!!
Amazing score on the Jiminy Cricket doll.
In the '40s, we eagerly waited for the Sears 'wish book' - the Christmas catalog with all the toys- When it finally came, my brother and I would lie on the floor and linger over each wonder, for hours. Great time of the year to experience the same feelings while you unpack the boxes. Thank you
We were still doing it in the 70s. It was a major event as we poured over each year’s offerings.
@@crystalca9082 Same in the 80's.
thank you for sharing all your cool toys...brings back alot of memories growing up...
I’m loving this pick! I truly hope you get to go back and get more. To see them so clean and cared for is amazing.
I’m sure doll collectors are going crazy and can’t wait for these dolls to go to auction. Great finds!
Love seeing the knitting and crochet accessories you're finding in with the dolls
Yes, one of the notes he was trying to read said hand-crocheted shawl or something like that. Perhaps the owner made those items herself. I guess I shouldn't assume it was a woman. Men have been known to crochet or knit too. But the handwriting seems feminine.
Ok let's go back, then let's go back again and again and again. 😆. That's just too much of a gold mine to miss out on.
I really enjoyed that video. Thanks ☺️
What a fabulous collection of toys so lovingly cared for and animated with supporting letters. Sure will add to the value, enjoying the discovery with you Alex

I could not resist returning to that house to see what you left behind .
You can tell that the woman who owned these items really had a genuine love for them. I'm not a doll person but am really enjoying these videos.
Love the video just amazing

Wow great find
I love the dolls from all different time periods. It’s wonderful going through all this stuff with you.
I do love the notes that come with the items. It tells the story behind them.
Hi Alex, I am really excited about these videos, I didn't own a single toy as child, so I am loving it, keep them coming.❤👍🇯🇲
Maxine, how sad to never have had a toy as a child!🤗
That's sad! I'm sorry

Groovy shirt Alex

You are simply going to make some doll collectors decade!! Awesome Alex. 🤟🏼🤍
My favorite thing today was your awesome shirt!
I really enjoy your channel. Believe it or not it is educational! More entertaining than just the face value.
I just looked up one of the dolls that you found (that I'd never heard of) and it led me to a deep dive into the history of a certain fashion designer, and then into department stores...etc.
They must have been clean and organized hoarders.
What an incredible collection. Just amazing to think how old these items are but more importantly, what good condition they're in. Definitely need to go back there and hunt some more.
The little Polish/ Russian dolls are beautiful.
Wow, it gets better & better! This collector really cared for their treasures and the notes are a great bonus.
These might be my favorite type of videos
Hey Alex. Wow! Congratulations on another great haul from a hoarder house - all those cool and exciting items packed away for years in cardboard boxes, storage bins and other containers. Fortunately, after all these years none of those containers contained any edible items.
Watching you find vintage items is one of my most favorite things to do! Love watching all these videos.

Wow! So much fun to see all of these beautiful keepsakes. Thank you for sharing your adventures, Alexander. 😊
The dolls. Oh the dolls! I think there was/were some blessed daughters in that house. Such a delight to see antique toys. I would have been happy with the trucks to.

My goodness! The notes alone are priceless. What a great find.

Lovely dolls 😍
Mid-century doll furniture is the bomb!
My favorite things were the FP things, the dolls, the dollhouse stuff, the old vanity box
You find some of the coolest things
Love the dolls! ❤
The toys dolls etc. would these have been owned by typically upper class? They are so intricate and well thought out by the manufacturers. Would you ever consider doing a video reviewing the original prices for some of these items? Thanks for letting us share in your finds. ❤
Such an organized collector. I would not call this person a hoarder, though. Hope you go back for more treasures!!
Interesting! That dollhouse and vanity set is cool to see from late 1800s!
All the dolls are so cute, including the amputee doll❤
I think that I saw the missing arm in a separate bag in the same box. Let's hope so.
M.A.S.K. woo hoo ! Loved it then and now !!
Great finds! I love the dolls. Thanks Alex!
Excellent pick!!! I enjoy all your content -- you folks are just good company ❤️

I LOVE the little vanity/theatre set at the end! That is so special!!
Alex luv your shirt! you look marvelous.
Fantastic treasure trove well done
I loved Jiminy Cricket when I was young.
Not sure why but I did.
That was eons ago. ☺️
Pretty good score! 👍🏻
Loving these treasures! I sure hope you can go back and bring more home to share with us.
Another fun reveal. Thank you for sharing!
Jiminy Cricket's face is so cute!!
