Hello and thank you for your show… I’m new to the hobby but built a JLU and was wondering about your buggy build you have shown… is there a kit I could buy cause I want to build one from ground up? Thanks again for your show it really helped me out in my first build!
Love the videos, great content man. I know you work hard on these videos and last thing you need is more work to add too them but I would love to see build list for the crawlers in your videos you use. Especially since you use some of them across different videos and have made changes when we see them next. I have a tarantula I'm going to build and would love to know everything in this build. Thx again for the great content. You know what would be cool is to have a Google sheet with all your build list of crawlers and you could see the build revisions over the course of their life or videos that they are featured in.
I am really liking these tires! Best performing on my foam course as well. They are doing great on my 1.8 wheels. Just stretch the stock foam and they are perfecrt! Can't wait to get them on the rocks!
I did it with two components: www.meusracing.com/products/meus-racing-brass-wheel-hex-hub-10mm-6mm-extenders-adaptor-for-1-18-rc-crawler-car-trx-4m-trx4m-upgrade-parts and www.meusracing.com/products/meus-racing-brass-wheel-hex-adaptor-counterweight-front-rear-wheel-weights-hubs-upgrade-parts-21g-pc-for-trx-4m-trx4m-bronco-defender-1-18-rc-crawler-car
The tires are nice and big, the pins are microscopic. I was not really happy with mine. The pins need to be a little more substantial to be able to catch notches and uneven areas of rock. They are ok on smooth rock.
I wonder if you used rocks on the indoor course if it would translate better to real world testing. It seems like every truck grips better on foam than rocks and dirt.
Hey there! Big fan of the channel here. I’m wondering if you have axle weights on your front axle for your tarantula? It looks like you do but I can’t quite tell. I didn’t think weights would fit for the front axle?
i put a torquebeast 3.0 in my ax24 and 33% underdrive, i want to put the 70mm swamp claws on it. i am going to stretch it with some high clearance brass links. with hex extensions do you think they will fit. i have some rampcrab servos. in your budget build it was gutless, do you think injora's scx24 bec fix the electrical problems
The rounded profile could hurt you on a lighter build because you aren’t going to get that conformity. You could vent them and/or use super soft inserts
You know on that chassis it doesn’t look as big as I would imagined the tires are. Doesn’t look much different in scale from a UTB18 on 1.9s or Capra on 2.2s.
@@RCfanAddict I think the tall tire fad is about over. They don't fit on anything unless you make it so wide it may as well be a mini basher. Great on a Tarantula, but that's about it.
@@James-bristolI find the 64mm to be the sweet spot. It's not too small, not too big, challenging still, have to pick your lines. And best of all, not so top heavy
Agree and disagree with this. On one hand the giant tires can make an otherwise average rig just roll over everything. On the other hand, if your build is really dialed in AND you can make it work with these, then you have something insanely capable. Instead of making challenging lines too easy it can open up even bigger terrain that you never could have tackled before. And they're pretty fun. The answer is of course to have multiple rigs with different tires.

10:51 i thought i was gonna be the only one to hear that crispy 2 stroke in the background lol
Music to the ears!
Have them. Love them. Added the 1.3" brass rings that were sold for the FMS Power Wagon. Each tire now weighs app. 100 grams 🙂
What's amazing is the no longer need for portal axles and the raised center of G bigger tirez and straight axles have always been my favorite
the 18ths av moved on so much in the last couple of years. cheers for the video adam.
lol “big? This tires are big” said by the little man 😂 made me laugh. 14:06

A google sheet is a great idea and would be relatively easy for me to maintain. I’m going to look into this more
We are slowly creeping towards 10th scale. RCMCCA has a gate size limit so hopefully they stay small
Yea, I got some nice 1/12 scale tires I can fit in a 1/24
@@SivartCustomRCs they got bigggggg haha
Yeah since most 18th scales are 1.2 wheels
Idk about that . Look at the new ascent 18 it’s about the same size as a scx24 don’t matter if I put 2.2s on it or 1.2s
Weird comment, it's not like they stopped making smaller wheels and tires.
Man, That build is nice looking.... And super capable

Agree 100% look good and perform very well. Injora also have a pimp chrome wheel in 1.3 now. Those are also my best performer so far. Great videos 👍
I'm really wonder about these with the DJ crawler pins I think some videos comparing similar tires through the same line are always interesting
Awesome wow that rig performed great, looking good out there that black and orange. As always appreciate your sharing I’ll watch for the next one 👍👍😎
Thanks for watching!
It reminds me of a tarantula.. goes everywhere. Upsode down even. Lol
Nice!
Please tell me that you upgraded that ESC. That whine... Great job, keep up the good content
Switching my trx4m bettle comp to the ir40 body this will be my wheel and tire choice nice review brother 👍
Thanks for the review, they hooked up well 👍
I need a link for the axel/hex extensions please. That’s crucial for adding this tire to a build, would be neat on an ax24

Did you have to do any modifications on the square knuckles to run the meus counterweights?
i wonder how these would work with something small like the injora rock buggy chassis
The tires are nice and big, the pins are microscopic. I was not really happy with mine. The pins need to be a little more substantial to be able to catch notches and uneven areas of rock. They are ok on smooth rock.
ey man running these big tires should I stay with portals or go with straight axles on the trx4m????
Amazing tires. I ordered a set👍
I wonder if you used rocks on the indoor course if it would translate better to real world testing. It seems like every truck grips better on foam than rocks and dirt.
What are those purple wheels on the scx24? These Comp Pins would be better if they were only 20mm wide.
Mazz designs wheels. Love them!
Good stuff, as always. Great vids!

I have heavy hex in extensions up front and just brass extended hexes in the rear. It’s also got brass diff covers, knuckles and c hubs
Only because of this video, I got these tires for my comp scx24!

I think the mb100 esc would really help, or the mofo RC rock wolf. That should fix your steering and the power delivery
Pins or swamp claw? I have the swamp claws and love them... but should i try the pins?
I prefer the pins personally
Do you know if the 1.3 wheels and tyres will fit the Hobby Plus CR18P Evo Pro??
Yes they will
@@CapeCrawlers Thank you
How about if it’s on a lighter car, I have the 70mm swamp claws but they don’t hook on my light build ,

@@CapeCrawlers for the swamp clawes. For for the pin tires
What size shocks are you running
Adam, if you could only choose one, would you choose the UTB18 or the CR18 Evo Pro?
Evo pro no question
@@CapeCrawlers thank you!
What body/chassis is the tarantula?
You know on that chassis it doesn’t look as big as I would imagined the tires are. Doesn’t look much different in scale from a UTB18 on 1.9s or Capra on 2.2s.
Totally agree. The dj crawler pins looked ridiculous on there but these fit really well
bro should compare the djcrawler mid stud tires and these injora pin tires in a video
What vehicle is that? Is it the Capra or an Traxxas with the Injora body?
Looks like a Traxxas to me
Traxxas with the tarantula kit
Hello nice 👍good vidéo 😉🇨🇵
Always cool!
with out watching the video yet bigger is better that's the reason why on crawlers they go from 1.9 to 2.2
I want some in 64mm
Was gonna say same I have these 72mm XHX tires but would really like it in a 62mm with 22mm wide

@@DustinRea Hopefully i can fit them somehow on my ir40 build
@@RCfanAddict That Injora Toyota body is so small you could fit tires off an Xmaxx on it and they wouldn't rub
They go any bigger, might make the rig, top heavy. Lol
Defeats the the point of mini crawlers
Don't think so, since i have the 70 mm Swamp Claws i don't see a reason to run anything smaller.
@@snörre23 good thing about the hobby it’s all personal preference

All depends on chassis and wheelbase. These would look ridiculous on a Deadbolt. But they are somewhat fitting on the 4m Tarantula (Capra).
