    Add washers on the axle shaft before you install the wheel nut and it will make it way easier to tighten the wheel nut.
    It will raise the nut a bit higher.
    Probably 2 washers.. 2.5mm or 3mm whatever fits.
    They are very thin anyway.

    As far as the wheel nut issue, I took my 5.0 box driver to the grinding tool.

    • @DoURC
      @DoURC  5 дней назад +2

      🤣👍 It is a bit annoying they're so tight, especially on a 1.3" wheel. 👍

    I agree ! I have the same truck on the same shoes. 😊
    Only 2 issues i'm working on : torque twist and too much play in the transmission. Must take the gearbox apart to see that.
    Otherwise, it's perfect.🥰

    • @DoURC
      @DoURC  7 месяцев назад +1

      Excellent, it's an awesome bit of kit isn't it. Tbh when I bought it I thought it would have a few flaws as it's a cheaper brand, but it's pretty awesome for the money of you're not looking for scale. 👍
      Yeah, tbh I want to upgrade all the axles and driveshafts too, as with all that torque I think they're just waiting to break tbh. 👍

    • @lgrc6120
      @lgrc6120 6 месяцев назад

      They build an axle for the rear to take away the torque twist.
      It spins in the opposite direction as there is a second outdrive on the rear of gearbox that spins in the opposite direction. It doesn't eliminate torque twist but a massive improvement

    • @vdel9036
      @vdel9036 6 месяцев назад

      @@lgrc6120 Yes, i saw that. $45 for one machined axle casing, so $90 to equip front and rear axle. A bit expensive. As i'm a mechanical designer, i designed my own axle casings to save money and also get brass axles.😉

    Absolutely fantastic!! I’ve looked up this car on Ali express, it’s not available anywhere else .
    It’s priced £131.36 first order price. I’ve not purchased anything from them.Does that sound right to you?

    • @DoURC
      @DoURC  7 месяцев назад +3

      Thanks very much 👍
      Yeah I think they normally give you extra discount for your first order. They had it on sale for $155 the other day. Just make sure it's the Brushless version as there is a Brushed version too.
      I paid I think it was $198 a few weeks ago. Even at $200 it's still worth it imo, awesome rig. Quite possibly the best mini RTR right now. 👍
      Hope that helps. 👍

    Tires are kind of everything. I knew a guy who would only put cheap tires on his vette. Meanwhile I’m tossing $1600 set on the GTi.

    Mate is yours the one i could get on radio controlled - is there a difference with the absima goat one they got there? What would be the best one rtr with all the latest bits and the Wifi app, waterproof and … in london there aren’t really any model shops anymore. Help please I want one brushless lots of metal waterproof fast and slow ….

      You can get the FTX Utah from Modelsport, it's exactly the same, just re-branded and with a different colour shell. Modelsport have the brushless version for £165 and you'd get next day delivery. 👍

      No it's not waterproof. The motor is an outrunner, so it's not sealed. I wouldn't get it wet tbh. This is better suited to being a dry rig. I generally mud everything, but this is one rig that's staying dry! 🤣👍

      I don't have an MN99 so not sure on hex size, but if the hex size is the same, just compare your stock tyre size to these to see if you'd have any clearance issues etc. 👍
