In today's video I'm replacing the DA9 Integra speedometer cable and while I have the dash apart, I'm using Resto Tuner decals to freshen up some buttons.

For anyone removing the instrument cluster on a DA or EF
First remove the speed sensor from the trans, plug the hole, unclip the cable in the engine bay, push some cable slack into the hole on the firewall.
If you skip this, it's easy to break the cable retainer to the cluster.
You'll also wonder how you're supposed to get your hand behind the cluster to release the clip.. You need slack to do it.
I just recently bought my first car, a 96 civic hatch, and I’m really gonna look into these. My interior definitely needs some love. I’m still in disbelief I found one that runs and drives, and is bone stock for only $3300
Awesome visuals 👊
Thanks!
Yo, I've been patiently waiting for your next DA vid. Thanks for the content brother!
He needs to release one once a week!
Thanks! That means a lot.
I wish I had as much time as you to crank em out.
What a tedious yet rewarding process. I did the same about a year back. I see you got the HVAC backing as well... woulda been the perfect time to replace it!
I'm not a fan of the finish on the HVAC controls and they don't have the long skinny piece for the RS trim so they wouldn't match up.
Ah makes sense. 👍
Amazing Content Man!! Have the same car as you! Please please keep putting videos about the car
Thanks! I wish I had more time to do it.
And don’t forget that there is a metal clip that the cable is supposed to lock into and yes it’s up in the dash really you can hardly see it unless the dash is completely removed
Yeah, it was tough. Worth the hard work though. So much quieter.
Muchow nice!!
Any more recent t DA videos ?
Nah, not lately. It's too hot to work on it and I don't want to spend money on it right now.
Where’s the Integra ?
Sold it this summer. Thinking about making vids with its replacement but car vids are hard when you're solo.
But are they EXACTLY like oem or is it “close enough” after doing restos on a few other American cars there has always been the issue of the manufacturer saying exact resto part but it’s actually almost or close enough sorry have discerning taste for a 91 completely original Integra that I got years ago and have been mothballing in a garage for the past 15-20 years yes it’s nice you can even see the factory line check markings anyway switches are good but decal is typical de lamination problems
These definitely aren't exactly like OEM.
how much are those stickers worth for my integra da9 , I from chile
I dunno
Hey man. I saw in another comment that you'd sold the car. But I have a 92 DB2 GSR and I'm having an issue with the cable being very "jumpy" and loose. Did yours just not work at all or were you having some sort of similar issue?
What cable? I wasn't having any problems with it when I sold it. I had a previous DA with a hydraulic ITR transmission and the Hasport adapter caused the clutch cable to break pretty often.
@@iamcraiggentry my bad, it’s my speedometer needle that jumps around. Buddy of mine said it’s cable driven. That’s the one you’d replaced right?
@@JustinGreenRC oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, swap that out and you should be good to go. You can try lubing it before you replace it.
@@iamcraiggentry appreciate the info man!
