Neat ideas! I have been looking into a Runaway Rouser...same floor space/footprint, but tall enough to stand in. But your set up does spark a lot of ideas!
We considered a Rouser! We ended up selling the camper and getting a van we can stand in instead. Enjoy your camping!
Gotta throw you a thumbs up and subscribe, sir! Ordering my 6x8 this week.... it’s been almost a year in the planning( plus I needed to sell a big S.O.B😉).... now that’s done I’m so excited for the freedom of a small lightweight DIY-able trailer! You give me great ideas. Hope you and your wife have many happy adventures, maybe I’ll see ya out there.
Yeeeeeah congrats on your decision! I have some vids with more details if you need them. Thanks for watching!
"My wife did this. My wife did that." I thought it was only me. 😂😂😂
Gotta give credit where credit is due!
Now thats a good setup! That roof design is bout as water tight as you could get. I think ive seen this camper on a lot before? If memory serves me right ive seen them in Cleveland TN on a rv lot. On a route I take occasionally. Built in AC can't beat that!
Yeah! We got ours from that lot in Cleveland, I made a video about picking it up. We've since sold it, now we have a van.
Nice set up, well organized, It sure beats the tent.
For sure. Thanks for watching!
I do like your canper
Thank you!
Great video! Very informative and great production!
Thanks! I appreciate that. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven't already, we're taking it to Sedona, AZ tomorrow.
That interior is so inviting
Thank you!
You two did a great job
Thanks!
Nice additions
Thank you!
Great video; thanks!
Thank you!
Nice clean setup.
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
LOVE it!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the recommendation of the Action Packers. I have put two on ours and they are great!
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching!
Nice and I am loving my shirt bro!
Yeeeeeah! Thanks again buddy.
Nice walkthrough. I really like how you decorated on the inside. We'll have to look into the Eva Dry system for our square drop. We also love having an actual fridge rather than a cooler. Nice job with your bed platform, too!!! Have a great camping season!
Thanks, you too! Thanks for watching!
Looks great! I think we’ll build out our beds like yours, but after our first trip next month to Cades Cove.
That wallpaper is awesome!
We got our tent mounted on top (opening off the back) for the kid, awnings on either side and each awning has the room.
I have a similar rack, and 3 totes facing front to back, but they’re getting old and brittle. I thought about replacing with Plano or Actionopackers.
Oh, the rear hitch - I added a full size spare and used the hitch to mount it, that lets me run a bag like a Trasharoo which holds our porta potty and other junk.
That's a really good idea.
Cool camper! Great job on the video!
Thanks!
😂

@@RubberTrampRenegade if you know, you know.
Nice set up. We get to use ours again in a couple of weeks in Tennessee. We didn't go with the awning, we got the room tent from Pahaque. It has a door opening with elastic to seal around the door and the wall is fitted to go over the fender. I got some storage nets for the doors. It gives you a lot more storage area. Good luck on your trip.
Thanks, enjoy yours too! We're in KY, we get down to TN pretty often.
Also ordered a shirt. Will I get it in time to wear camping?
@@phillipvines4269 I saw an order come in, I'll do my best to ship it out tomorrow! Thanks for your order!
Runaway Camper walk through (now that’s funny!😂
Thanks for watching!
A bit snarky, don’t you think?🤔 Just to expand the possibility of seeing more potential for this 6 x 8 versatile camper, check out an “L” Configuration where one bed runs the length in the back of the trailer accessible with a rear door and another bed attached to it that runs the length of the opposite wall that is on the side of the air conditioner. Here is a channel where a couple shows in their trailer how it can look.. Runaway And Seemor3. Happy trails!
@@kimbgeopolis Kim, don’t get yer panties in a bunch, I like runaways too! But the wording was funny 😆 walkthrough a runaway!🥸
He's seriously selling everything you see in the video
Yep. If I don't include links, guess what the comments will be filled with?
Now that you have had it a while, is there anything that you could have done differently? I have an older “knock off” camper and I am considering upgrading to the new composite Runaway. I would like to add a rear door (also easy access to under the platform bed). We are a family of 3 - so also exploring a roof top tent with the new camper. Currently using a Kamp-Rite camp cot which works fine
We actually sold it last year and converted a van. Not really anything I would have done differently. We didn't need a rear door but the back window was great. I sold my roof top tent too. The van is just undefeated. It's easier and better than everything, they're just expensive. I made some good money by selling the camper and rtt so it made for a nice down payment.
Can you recommend putting a single burner stove on the shelf for making morning coffee?
I always do cold brew if I make coffee. I go out for hot coffee. It's a small space so be very careful. I'd recommend an induction cooktop instead of a propane one, I wouldn't want an open flame inside.
@@iamcraiggentry thanks!
Very good video. How did you install the tongue rack? Thanks.
Thanks! Just some square 2" U bolts from the hardware store.
Great setting, I am planning to buy a Runaway camper and looking for ideas. What is your refrigerator? thanks
Thanks! It's from BougeRV, I actually have 2 from them, they're great. Use my discount code if you decide to purchase one. Well worth more than they cost.
Nice camper. Do you have a link to the little heater? Is it loud. My husband and I bought a 13' TAB 320. Happy camping
The link should be in the description box, if it's not let me know and I'll add it. Not loud at all, it's really nice for a little space.
That looks amazing, how much do you think it weighs is after the updates? So homey looking, the wallpaper is perfect, those EvaDry's are awesome use them in my gun safes. Have you thought about maybe adding some solar?
It's probably around 1,000 pounds loaded. I actually have a solar panel but haven't used it. We used shore power at campgrounds.
@@iamcraiggentry I just love that trailer but now seeing how your wife decorated it, I am even more in love with it. I come from a background where as a kid we had an RV and couldn't wait to go on trips so never saw myself in something smaller, I now do.
@@BrownsvilleNotification thank you! She did a great job! Be sure to check out our other videos with it.
Do you think you might add a roof top fan, to reduce condensation?
We actually sold the camper. I was to the point I was going to cut a hole in the roof and install a fan or sell it to get a van. Check out my latest vids 😉
How is that little heater working out and do you have a link for it please?
The link should be in the description box. It worked well but we didn't camp in super cold weather. We sold the camper so I didn't use it much but it runs off the battery power station better than most.
I understand there are no water tanks in here, just to ask, is there a receptacle for your portable battery, to power up your devices, like a 30amp shore power service for this? I am interested in this, for my hiking alone in the forest...
It does have shore power but it's a standard 15amp household electrical cord outlet, not 30amp. It powers the air conditioner and two power strips inside, it comes like that from the factory.
@@iamcraiggentry Thanks for the headsup
Would your front rack hold a generator?
Yes, easily.
What does it weigh? Do you know if a 2023 CRV can tow this?
It probably weighed 1000 pounds after the build out. They make a smaller model that is lighter.
What’s your cooking setup?
We sold the Runaway, we didn't cook. When we travel we're usually super busy and running around so we'll eat out or eat out of the car.
And what are you pulling this with? Curious the weight of camper
We pull it with a Toyota 4Runner. It weighed around 1000 pounds setup like this.
How did get the wood look on the interior walls ?
It's a stick on wallpaper from Lowe's. It's a white/gray shiplap design, it has the property bros on the packaging.
@@iamcraiggentry Nice !
You forgot to add a link for the heater
My bad! I added it in there. Thanks for the heads up.
At 1000 lbs loaded, even a Prius might be able to pull this.
There's lots of hybrids towing these in the owners groups on Facebook.
These are such stupid little campers! NOT! : )
We really enjoyed both of our Runaways. We used a TailGater Tire Table with our RR and found it very useful. I gave one away at the recent Homecoming Rally. Be safe out there. "Life coach" tip - drop the music down more when you are talking.
That tail gator table looks awesome! Thanks for watching, Mr Moman!
Is this a 2023 model? How is holding up after all this time? All alright?
I think it was a 21 or 22. We sold it last year to get a van.
@@iamcraiggentry but you did love it when it was still with you correct? Was planning to get this or a Smittybilt scout trailer or a Clipper 12.0TD MAX, thus the question. Am planning to do solo hiking every 2 months in the forests...
Funny, a walkthrough tour of a camper that's too small to walk through.
"Crawl through" just didn't look right on the thumbnail image.
