    I spray airless and I brush and I roll… and I don’t watch videos to make dumb comments. Of course it needs another coat but so would brush and roller. The only system that offers true one coat application is airless. What impressed me is this guy had a good set up and consistent technique. What impressed me was the coverage and pattern from what is essentially a home user unit. Great video. 👍

    I think he was merely trying to show that you can cover an average size room in under an hour. In this situation (painting over a dark green), a second coat is absolutely required. Two coats is the norm with the flexio to achieve a professional look. An airless sprayer system would've covered it with one coat, but for the "once-in-a-while painter" the flexio is the greatest economical choice.

    Im showing this video to my 12 year old to give him ideas of a trade he can do. Not because I think is easy or something anybody can do. Believe me I drove semi trucks for 15 years and I understand how it feels to do a work that looks easy but it’s totally not.
    But I recognize that your trade and career is not only needed all the time but you can make a good profit doing it.

    Great job on the video. I have the Home Depot version 3500 bought for $169.99 and I love it. Have painted 8 interior rooms this year as well as used for staining a new exterior deck. Of course a brush and roller may be needed at times to fine tune hard to reach or lightly sprayed areas but not that often in my case. The key to getting the single pass effect is first get a high quality single coat paint. Then fine tune the sprayer with your individual paint or stain testing on practice surfaces to gain experience. I agree with you this unit works great for a DIY landlord. I know because I am one.

    I own a painting company and the one only time I use a sprayer is for commercial contracts or when I have to smoke seal homes/ framing after a major fire. I can tell you that taping and covering floors/ trim/ windows takes time to do. And using that paint guide he's using is far from perfect. I can absolutely have that room painted quicker than he sprayed it. He needs to put a second coat after it dries and he needs to cut in the ceiling still using a brush to make a proper line. Sprayers have their place but I know it's not speeding anything up for that specific project. Good old brush, sleeve and a drop sheet is still the best and fastest way to paint that room.

    • @dennisryan7616

      I'm not debating your good at what you do.
      But airless sprayers are much better quality finish.
      We tape our ceilings and give 400 wide protection sheet and sprsy our walls.
      The cutting in line is to perfection.
      Its well worth as you stated to tape everywhere up first.
      As it reputation we need.
      But spraying is superior..
      We do all our woodwork./ doors / walls etc..

I know for certain now that this approach is not for me. I couldn’t understand why so many painters were stating that rolling and cutting would be better, and I finally get it. Spraying isn’t faster if you don’t get the coverage after all that prep work. You’ve saved me time and money. Just a few tips,
    sprayers are used to paint over stuff that rollers can't roll over, and to also paint over things that you don't want brush strokes on --- trim, cabinets, crown molding, window casing, etc.
    Spraying always takes longer to do because of the prep work, but has a better result in the end for trim, cabinets, crown molding, window casing, etc.
    It's also pointless to spray a wall unless the wall has a really jagged texture that a roller can't fully fill.
    The most efficient way to paint a room is to freehand brush the trim, wall edges, window casing and roll the wall.
    The best quality is to spray the trim, window casing, molding etc, then spray the wall edges a few inches to prevent brush strokes, then roll the wall with a roller.

    • @joemirag
      @joemirag Год назад +1

      another tip is that sprayers release alot of fumes into the air, and those fumes travel throughout the area and stick to whatever it lands on, so you might end up with a ton of paint that travelled through your hvac system and messed up your filter, etc.

      I just finished completely repainted my kitchen, video is up if you want to see step-by-step. I would say, if you are painting walls, go the roll and brush. Less prep. If you are redoing a kitchen, go with a sprayer. You will always have some type of overspray when using a sprayer. So you want to cover up your floors and windows. If you do get paint on something you do not want, have paint remover around and it'll come up quick.

      The short answer is that you can; however, you might want to use a different spray gun. The Wagner can spray Acrylic Enamel, which you would use on a car, but you would need to thin the paint out with water. This might affect the longevity and final color. I would suggest the Graco (amzn.to/47LeFWp) if you are looking for a handheld sprayer. You do not need to thin the paint and it will come out looking great.

      If you are painting the outside of your house, I wouldn't recommend this one. You need to use a thicker specialty paint because of the stucco and this one would not allow for it to spray out. You would have to dilute the paint with water, which would interfere with the final color and properties of the paint. I use the Graco (link included afterward) now for all of my jobs. Could you spray the ceiling? Or would tipping it up stop the flow?

      You can the inside of the container has the intake angled to suction the paint. If you do, you definitely want to protect you face, eyes, and the floors.

    Woah, please don’t do this at home. It doesn’t take much to see overspray will be everywhere including those windows, ceilings, baseboard, and the air ducts. I don’t see a single comment saying this worked for them and I can’t imagine how it would. You have to clean and mask off anything you don’t want paint on if using a spray gun. Someone’s going to spend 10+ hours trying to get that paint off what it shouldn’t be on doing it this way.
    I appreciate you trying to help others out but this isn’t the way.

    i know you got the room done in x amount of time but your clean up is going to take a good chunk of your time.

    I watched this video twice. because of your technique with the guard usage. and your other information I thought was really good because I'm going to do my living space. and I would like to do it in a quicker way than rollerz/brush. So to put on the 2nd coat it probably will take you not quite as long as the 1st so that's still pretty darn good.
    Q. If you decided to do the baseboard trim and the trim around the windows a different color would you have masked off those areas instead of just running the sprayer and guard? Or Would you have used a paintbrush and roller?

  • @rafsoc1613
    @rafsoc1613 9 месяцев назад

    Sprayer is fast as long as you mask EVERYTHING you don’t want to paint on. With a roller you have more control. For a one room job I’d go with a roller. Spray creates tiny droplets that fly all over. My experience as a non professional painter anyway

    Скажите пожалуйста какой тип краски надо заливать туда?
    Любую краску можно ?

    • @MikePrezAI
      @MikePrezAI  Год назад +1

      Можно использовать краску из яичной скорлупы. Это поможет свету лучше отражаться в комнате и сделает ее ярче. Я бы предложил краску с грунтовкой, чтобы уменьшить количество шагов. Просто помните, что с этим типом краскопульта вам может понадобиться немного разбавить краску водой. Если вы хотите использовать краскораспылитель более высокого качества, где не нужно разбавлять краску, рекомендую краскораспылитель Graco по этой ссылке: amzn.to/3XRmVAa

    • @MikePrezAI

      Probably took a few days for all the fumes to be let out. I would suggest to put a fan in the window facing outward so it can draw the fumes and smell out.

    • @MikePrezAI

      It should work properly. I would definitely say to wear protection and a respirator so you do not breathe in the paint overspray. And make sure you cover all of the surfaces you do not want overspray.

      @@rayspooner1982 you better cover the whole floor with tarp or clear sheet. When you paint ceiling with a sprayer, you are going to get oversoray all over the floor. I would paint the ceiling the traditional way and paint the wall with the Wagner. Paint the trims with good paintbrush (Purdy). Purdy paint brushes are incredible and last forever. Then use the sprayer. I'm not kidding about Purdy brushes. I've owned them for 16 years now and the bristles still look brand new and is a joy to paint with them.

    • @rayspooner1982

      @@heyoou I did cover the floor. I used the Wagner for the ceiling cuz its a basement and there's nails poking through so you can't roll it and brush takes forever and gets frayed. I agree 100% on Purdy brushes, they are the best especially for cutting ceilings and trim.
