This answered my toner questions from the last video: thank you! However, I would have LOVED to have seen the final color!! Thank you for this content :)
Would you be able to do a segment on growing in grey hair as gracefully as possible. I am using 6.0 permanent presently and finding that the permanent color doesn't last as long. How could I grow in my grey nicely. Either by using a demi permanent on my gray or should I just go platinum. The growth is a silver and white. Help.
I'm going tell you the formula you need. If you're a 50 +%gray. Use example 1 Oz 6.0 + 1/4 of 6.3 + 1/4 of 6.1 + 20v developer. Do a strand test first to see if you like it. Oh. The developer you're going to use 20v, if you're level 6 or under, if you're 7 and up, use 30v or 40v😊
Hi Sylvia, thank you for all your videos!! I would really love to see how to blend grey roots with shades eq gloss...I am trying to not go back to permanent color. I have been trying it myself with some sucess but looks a bit too warm..I use level 6NB +6N. Also..do you find wash/rinsing it out mixes the base smudge with the highlights??
Do shades eq and their parent company have a non animal testing policy for their ingredients and finished products too? Their product sounds fab but I'm not prepared to use anything that supports animal testing... not even for fabulous hair.
Thank you for these videos. So, if you already have grown out highlights you are not going to want to put the lightner over the highlighted part, but can you overlap? What if your sections are different from how they were done last? I feel like i mostly understand what to do, but I can’t imagine doing it on my own head, especially the back 😂 Also what if you’re too slow weaving and the color “cooks?” Do you check it and start taking them out? But.. how would you know as a non hair stylist that it’s “done”? I would love to do my hair at home. I feel like it would help so much I get panic attacks pretty badly and for some reason I’m a little more prone while sitting getting foils done? Not sure exactly why. Maybe because it usually takes about 3 hours? Feel like I’m “stuck”? I think also it depends on who’s doing my hair, I like my stylist but she’s not the most friendly person. Anyway thank you, hopefully some day I can figure this out ❤
Like in my first highlighting video, I wait to show you the final results in the following video. To ensure youwatch the corresponding video and make sure you watch and learn all the necessary steps.
Hi Sylvia! Could you do a gray retouch plus highlights? I attempted to go a little darker for fall and used coverfusion 7nn(I have been around a 9 all summer with very gray regrowth at the root. I also foiled a few lowlights with 6na and wow is it dark. It has a funny tone and looks "muddy". I am thinking I needed some gb and maybe even some orange or red added back before taking it darker. Wondering if I should tone with something warmer. Anyhow, a gray retouch and maintaining dimension video please!
I was always taught to tone on wet hair.....what r your thoughts on that? I have never tried on dry hair! I want to do this to my hair tomorrow but im nervous!
Thank you so much for the back to basics series. I really appreciate how precise you are and how you explain the reasons behind each technique. My takeaways: 1) section neatly 2) your layers need to be super thin for a more subtle and refined look 3) visualize the placement of toner before going in haphazardly 4) timing is everything (if you want brighter parts, put toner on last on those areas for shorter processing times) Thank you again- going to to try my first baby lights today. I have a naturally 4 color base but pre-existing highlights so can only hope to have a good outcome so thank you for your videos! 🙏🏽
Next time can you do the mannequin like exactly as if you were creating your hair in this video? Your hair is perrrrrfect Ive screenshotted angles of your hair a thousand times 😂😂
It kind of looks like a "chocolate" base which I love.... tried to get that myself but messed it up lol lol and then of course my blonde face framing.....mine is a process as I have to deal with grey, then I am always apprehensive with using bleach even though I have been doing my hair for three years..... just seems like the darned grey just keeps growing.. so I always feel like I am doing roots and re-touching up blonde..
MS. Sylvia Quick question Would the seq 7NAl alter the new growth area for warmth or brass in a strawberry blonde root smudge? Never could find info on that And level 7 ALSO Does the NA USING it alone lean more on the green deposit so should it be mixed with another seq So any formula suggestion for the root and new growth in assisting that brassiness thank you 😅 Sorry if that isn't very clear
Hi Sylvia I've been following you forever, I love how your work and congratulate you for all you do and do for us. Years ago I moved to France I noticed is very rare at salons to get toners when I get my highlights done, instead they only use a purple shampoo and voilà. Why is that, thank you in advance for your response.
Amazing! Last 2 wks, I was looking for info on Redkin & how to root smudge! Glad I clicked.
This answered my toner questions from the last video: thank you! However, I would have LOVED to have seen the final color!! Thank you for this content :)
The results will be revealed in the next salon series video.
Darn I wanted to see how she turned out. Thanks Sylvia. I like your tshirt also.
Right!? Watched the whole thing and no end result!
Results will be revealed in the next salon series video!
Yay ! Thx ! Waiting for result as I’m doing mine tomorrow! Lol
I can’t find the next video 😢

Can you link the reveal ?? Can’t find it.
No end results?!?? Whyyyy
Loving this series- thank you for doing this!
Wow what a bummer after watching 13 and 38 minutes of the video there's no final product how disappointing
Great video. Please show results. Will you be numbering videos so we know next one?
Your hair is so gorgeous.

Why didn’t you show the final result!?

I doubt you’ll receive a response to your question as Elle bangs prefer to get you to book a virtual consultation and charge you for the answer.
The wella toner's lift and deposit
I watched this whole video to see how toning works and looks after a bad color experience and never saw the end result. Bummer.
Thank you for the video ! I love the way you explain and your voice is so relaxing !
I was always taught to tone on wet hair.....what r your thoughts on that? I have never tried on dry hair! I want to do this to my hair tomorrow but im nervous!
I wanted to see how it looked after the treatment!
I like that you explained what the toner does. That’s been my mistake; thinking the toner will lift instead of depositing the color.
My fave part was the part where you showed us the results!

These videos are really helpful Sylvia, thank you I love K18 too, and Olaplex of course.
Your hair is a beautiful color right now (colors)..
Great video. Thank you.
Waiting eagerly for the results video!
Cant believe end result not shown.
Tone on wet or dry hair? My search has been so contradicting
Wet
What color do you have on your hair?
Why don’t you show end results
Omg!! I was planning on sorting through your videos to do this next weekend! Thank you so much❤❤
Yay! Glad this new series is helpful!
How do I get the redkin toners
What would you do if the ends of the hair are more yellow than the mid section? Would you bleach the ends again?
Link for your favorites isn't working. I clicked on a link on an older video - thought it was for your own products. It didn't work either. 😞
Next time can you do the mannequin like exactly as if you were creating your hair in this video? Your hair is perrrrrfect Ive screenshotted angles of your hair a thousand times 😂😂
Love your classes Sylvia
