To be honest, the song "No promises to keep" makes me think that Aerith will die again. You need to keep in mind that the song will be playing in the credits. And the words that "until the day that we meet again, I know that you will find me." All this makes me think that Cloud will lose Aerith again and will search endlessly for her again, as it always has been . After all, "Hollow" also ended up saying that Cloud knew she is dead. I am with you an am pretty sure Aerith will die again too, at least in Clouds timeline and to that groups perspective. This time though she won't actually be gone she is just somewhere else, most likely with Zack. I know there is a rabbit hole of Zacks timeline is the lifestream manifested but I don't really swallow that pill but we won't know until Feb.

cid smoking is integral especiall with the cigarete box basiclly being glued to his head. he had the smokes on his mind, cause he was stressed out all the time. it gave him that on the verge of breaking energy, with a simple design tool. i also don't feel the new song, absolutely not a fan of powerballads. they're right up there with simple pop music, that makes me want to glue a packet of smokes onto my head too XD but i'm extremly picky with music, so, i'm kinda not the person to ask. but i dugg hollow even if i don't feel the style. it kinda easily transported its message. when i hear powerballads i literally just hear whining noises, and my trqanslation device in my mind turns off (not a native english speaker). but, i can understand that they went with tha tmsuic style with a game from the 90s, which was a pretty packed powerballad era. the new trailer has some great music tho, makes me really looking forward to new mixes of my beloved old titles.
I think Aerith is going to die, yet also live, but they’ve stated that everything will line up with Advent Children already so I believe when she wakes up in Zack’s timeline after her death in the main timeline, whatever behind the scenes stuff her and Zack do to merge the timelines will end with everyone who should’ve been dead (Aerith, Zack, Biggs etc) being dropped back into the lifestream. Kinda bittersweet because I also kinda want to see Zack lead the main party in Cloud’s absence when he goes into his coma. Guess we’ll see

The song doesn't fits FF7. The vibe is wrong. FF7 OST aren't that soft, It suits better for FF8 or FF9. FF7 Crisis Core Reunion ending song vibe suit FF7 better.

So Marlene dies at some unknown point in the future but comes back to Zack and decides to be a child again just to deliver cryptic messages? I can buy a single lifestream binding all these timelines/multiverses/realms whatever they are calling these together so they can use the life stream to travel though the realms, which Sephiroth seems to have done, but not Zacks timeline being the lifestream. If it is the case though I will gladly admit I am wrong though.

The story will play out like the original, so the zack “timeline” stuff has to connect in a way that make sense (maiden the travels the planet), multiple “timelines” or universes would mean a completely different story and doesnt fit in the world of final fantasy 7. Also remember the OG is not part of the compilation, the remake project is the 5th and final part of the compilation, meaning it is the compilations version of the OG

So when Cloud and company repeat the OG events and beat Sephiroth Zack and Aerith will show up with a plot device so they can “beat him once and for all”
I am not a fan of this song either. Compared to Hollow which was such a great slow Rock song, this song feels like something you'd hear at a High School prom. Granted we have only heard a portion of it, but so far, I'm not a fan of it.
